View 14 RepliesWhen I was on Sprint.com looking at accessories for the EVO I don't even own yet, a chatbox came up with this Customer Sevice Rep talking to me.So, I asked her when the Epic 4G was to be released, and she blatantly ignored me.I was hoping to bring better news, like, "I found the release date!", but alas,I cannot.

I'm getting one for various issues plus the phone is completely dead right now.just wanted to know couple of things:How long did it take to arrive?What did u send back? phone & battery? or anything else..manual/box & etc.They said it might be here tomorrow or in 2-3 days...lol I guess I got really lucky also because they are all sold out everywhere & now sprint is sending to me directly & I didn't even have to leave my house.So far I'm liking Sprints customer service. But I feel really weird this is my first day without the EVO since June 4th.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi've tried out all the radios to test out which is the best for me..and i devided on the one that was based off the verizon radio..so i got an error message saying "You must be a Sprint Customer to use this feature" so i changed to the newest radio out 2.42.01.04.27 and i still get the same issue..what could it be?

I got this reply from them but what confuses me is it says we will have them back in stock, i didn't know they ever had them in stock to begin with. must have been a typo.
I have just had the WORST customer service experience EVER with Motorola. It started early last week, and is continuing through today. Suffices to say, the automated system is useless, the customer service reps are all in Argentina, and no one hears what you say. They only hear what they have been trained to hear, and can not think outside of their little scripts at all. If I hear " I really do apologize for the inconvenience, can you hold while I look that up" one more time, my head is going to explode.Does anyone have an email address for someone in Motorola Corporate that deals with the Consumer Electronics portion of the business? Preferably someone with a title of VP or such? I'd like to have a nice conversation with them.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI (like hundreds of others) have had a call quality problem with the two Droid Incredibles I purchased for my wife and myself when they were released on April 30th. Verizon recognized that there was a problem and replaced both devices with ones manufactured about a month later (5/02) and the same issue with poor voice quality continued.
We love the device EXCEPT for the lack of ability to understand callers. So, I asked Verizon to extend our 30-day opt out to give them an opportunity to work out the issues with this device. I just received a call from Verizon customer service (which I could barely understand) and was told they would not extend the 30 day period and my option was to live with the poor sound quality or switch to another device. Verizon has no other devices that were interested in at this time so well be canceling these two lines (and one other) and returning to T-Mobile. T-Mobile may not have the best coverage, but they do have great customer service, unlike Verizon.
When traveling near my home area I encounter areas with no Sprint service. The phone roams into Verizon network which is very strong in my area. Beginning last week when I attempt to make a call when roaming on Verizon I get a message stating Verizon can not verify this phone number unable to make call. I contacted Sprint about the problem. They suggested a few things i already did, update PRL and profile etc.... which did not help. They told me there was nothing they could do because they cant guarantee service on their phones when roaming. This baffles me because phone roamed fine on Verizon for 6 months all of a sudden it doesnt. Any ideas on how this can be fixed? About 30 percent of my home town has no Sprint coverage so I guess I am just SOL.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have not been to impressed with the signal strength since having my desire on 3 about a month ago. I contacted 3 by email and someone from the support team rang me last last night.
Not to sound rude but I could hardly understand her, but after discussing my concerns, she asked me what software version I was on. I told her 2.10.405.2 and she said it needed updating to 1.77 something or other, I forget now. Now anyone knows that 1 is before 2? and 2.10.405.2 is the latest update. Mine is unbranded from CPW so I guess has more up to date software than there branded ones. I had to cut the call short for something but she is ringing back tonight.
I'm looking for an app, but don't know if it exists. Basically what I want is an app that I can but a little disclaimer blurb, or something similar on and then have my customer sign it, all on the phone without the need for paper. If this could also be a part of a data base to keep track of customer info, that would be better.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm starting a new thread on this one because I don't know where it's going to end. Here's a review of what's happened so far. My original post: "Round 1"--My 6 month old Droid quit yesterday. I went to a Verizon service center near me and they searched within 30 miles for a replacement. None to be found. They said they would have one sent to me from "the warehouse", and I'd have it in 48 hours. That's acceptable, especially considering the fact that I didn't have insurance on it. My contacts and calender will come over from my GMail account, but I'll have to load about 50 apps and I assume any special settings I'll have to re-do. If the "Factory like new rebuilt" isn't as close to new as possible, it will go back and back and back until I get one as mint as mine was. I'm thinking positive and will let you know how I make out. "Round 2"--O.K. so far so good. I got home last night and had the note on the door that Fedex didn't leave it (no signature). Drove to Fedex location (10-12) miles away and picked up "like new" phone. I was impressed with the physical appearance. It looked truly "like new''. Called to activate phone-no problem. Did my *228 to program-no problem. I make my test call and the problems start. With the volume all the way up I can barely here the voice. When I take the phone away from my ear the display goes dark.In order to see the display to end the call I need to slide open the keyboard. So, no volume and no display when calls end. On the pnone with 2 levels of tech support for 1 1/2 hours and no luck. Said they would send out another "like new' to me but with the holiday I wouldn't get it until Tuesday. After some discussion they agreed to send it overnight Saturday delivery to my office by noontime. Believe it or not I'm not upset. Things happen. They are doing all the right things to correct my problem. By the way, all my contacts,photos,and favorites came over as I'd hoped. However only 1/2 my apps came over. That may be because I didn't give them enough time to. I'll keep you posted. Stay tuned for Round 3.

I want to be able to provide them (no one else) incremental updates but I am not clear what the procedure should be.I don't want them to have to install development tools or root their phone. These are non technical folks who would have no idea how to accomplish root a phone or use a command line interface.When I develop iPhone applications for them this was easy. They just give me the device UDID and I send them a binary that can be drag and dropped into iTunes.How is this done on Android. I have tried loading the application from a web server but the devices says it is not allowed to be loaded because of security reasons. In setting->Applications there is no menu option to "Allow Unknown sources".
View 6 Replies View Relatedi have to call customer support yet again, to get my fiance's droid replaced. Last time I called, the phone was not rooted. This time its running chevy'S ROM and kernel. Either way stock or modded this phone is just buggy.and there is something, wrong with the microphone. Can they tell ota that the phone is rooted? I'm going to return it to stock before I send it back to them, but don't want to do it till I know they are going to replace it.Last time they checked to see when the last tower update was, but I don't know if they were checking their info or my phone info.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWith a few thousand customers, only 2 have complained of this problem. They install the app, then put the phone in standby/sleep mode (i.e. turning it off, but not shutting it down). When they turn it back on, my app's icon is reverted to the generic green and white android icon and the title shows as the class name of the app instead of the title. And, of course, the app no longer works. I am at a loss as to what to do. It seems like an android bug to me. And I think both customers are using a Motorola Droid. Anybody else heard of this? I am not sure what to search for on Google.

I did revert back to previous stock ROM and had service just fine.Reinstalled CM6 thinking maybe that would fix it - no go.If it is not one thing, it is another anytime I try to install a new ROM.

1- replace existing kernel.
2- can use my phones functionalities: it is due to some drivers are closed source and i must use the vendor's kernel to use it's drivers.
A customer wrote me that his upgrade of my app would not install and gave the following error: package isnot signed correctly The install worked find for me but I was getting a lot of bad reviews because of this error and I removed the app. How is this possible; you can't upload an app to Google Markets without it being signed correctly?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf anyone is CURRENTLY with Sprint for their cell service in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area of Arizona, could you please tell me how your cell service is?I'm looking at moving to the HTC EVO in June when my contract is up with Verizon, but I'm pretty worried about the quality of Sprint's service. Most comments I have heard about Sprint have been either average or negative.On the contrary, my time with Verizon has really been stellar, few if any dropped calls, coverage EVERYWHERE it seems, and pretty decent customer service.Even though Sprints plans are $30 to $40 cheaper than Verizon, it won't matter if the service stinks and I can't make/receive calls or get on broadband.Just trying to weigh my options as the Incredible will be out as well, and may have to go with that one instead.
View 17 Replies View RelatedTried to access it today and it was saying that i was entering the wrong pin. I know for a fact that it was right. Now i'm locked out of it and it says to call sprint to continue. I talked to them for about 45 minutes, they switched me over to HTC for another 30 and then back to sprint for another hour. They had me hard reset the phone twice and it didn't do anything. Was on the phone with advanced tech for the last hour and they finally said to wait 2 hours and it should reset itself. Well, it's now been about 5 and it still won't work... Any ideas on how to get it to work?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Hero is going haywire. I was trying to download some apps from the market today and they don't want to start. So I rebooted my phone to see if it made any difference. Now when it starts up I get error messages that the com.android.phone and a few others are not working and have to force a close. I have no service either. All the installed apps and components are working but not phone itself. I am with Cellular South in Mississippi and my wife has a Hero also which is working normally so I know it's not a network issue.
