I'm looking for an app, but don't know if it exists. Basically what I want is an app that I can but a little disclaimer blurb, or something similar on and then have my customer sign it, all on the phone without the need for paper. If this could also be a part of a data base to keep track of customer info, that would be better.

In my app,I need a customer signature for prooving the customer have seen some informations and validate them.Does anybody knows the Android way for implementing a customer signature?With Windows CE, we can use a signature's specific component, and the customer can use the pen to draw lines. But how can we do this with finger's like mobile phone?It seems to be a very difficult question, and I haven't found an answer to my question yet.
View 4 Replies View Relatedthis Android code worked fine before, but i'm having problems for some reason. here is the request i'm trying to make: https://www.google.com/reader/api/0/token. i'm getting 400:Bad Request as a response, and i'm not sure why. isn't this the correct URL for requesting a token? the auth token is being passed as a header in all requests now, and i can request feed list, and it works just fine, so there's nothing wrong with the auth code. what gives? in addition, i can request a token in a normal browser, like Chrome, and get a token as a response body. so the request itself is not the problem. i just can't figure out what is wrong with my requests in code...

I don't know where I am going wrong with the request. I am using AsyncTask to send the request to the server. The request also uses a token which I receive when I login to the webpage. I own a Xiaomi MI2S, running MIUI-3.8.16 @ Android version 4.1.1.JRO03L with Baseband version CEFWMAZM-2.0.128 017.
From my phone provider (Tele2) i have to dial a 1 (one) before my PIN-code when traveling abroad.
The code is accepted, I can be called and i can send and receive SMS messages.
However i cannot make phone-calls...
The error (?) is "DIAL request modified to SS request" and (very short) "not connected"
I am developing an Android application for a customer. I want to be able to provide them (no one else) incremental updates but I am not clear what the procedure should be.I don't want them to have to install development tools or root their phone. These are non technical folks who would have no idea how to accomplish root a phone or use a command line interface.When I develop iPhone applications for them this was easy. They just give me the device UDID and I send them a binary that can be drag and dropped into iTunes.How is this done on Android. I have tried loading the application from a web server but the devices says it is not allowed to be loaded because of security reasons. In setting->Applications there is no menu option to "Allow Unknown sources".

They install the app, then put the phone in standby/sleep mode (i.e. turning it off, but not shutting it down). When they turn it back on, my app's icon is reverted to the generic green and white android icon and the title shows as the class name of the app instead of the title. And, of course, the app no longer works. I am at a loss as to what to do. It seems like an android bug to me. And I think both customers are using a Motorola Droid. Anybody else heard of this? I am not sure what to search for on Google.

1- replace existing kernel.
2- can use my phones functionalities: it is due to some drivers are closed source and i must use the vendor's kernel to use it's drivers.
A customer wrote me that his upgrade of my app would not install and gave the following error: package isnot signed correctly The install worked find for me but I was getting a lot of bad reviews because of this error and I removed the app. How is this possible; you can't upload an app to Google Markets without it being signed correctly?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have not been to impressed with the signal strength since having my desire on 3 about a month ago. I contacted 3 by email and someone from the support team rang me last last night.
Not to sound rude but I could hardly understand her, but after discussing my concerns, she asked me what software version I was on. I told her 2.10.405.2 and she said it needed updating to 1.77 something or other, I forget now. Now anyone knows that 1 is before 2? and 2.10.405.2 is the latest update. Mine is unbranded from CPW so I guess has more up to date software than there branded ones. I had to cut the call short for something but she is ringing back tonight.
I'm starting a new thread on this one because I don't know where it's going to end. Here's a review of what's happened so far. My original post: "Round 1"--My 6 month old Droid quit yesterday. I went to a Verizon service center near me and they searched within 30 miles for a replacement. None to be found. They said they would have one sent to me from "the warehouse", and I'd have it in 48 hours. That's acceptable, especially considering the fact that I didn't have insurance on it. My contacts and calender will come over from my GMail account, but I'll have to load about 50 apps and I assume any special settings I'll have to re-do. If the "Factory like new rebuilt" isn't as close to new as possible, it will go back and back and back until I get one as mint as mine was. I'm thinking positive and will let you know how I make out. "Round 2"--O.K. so far so good. I got home last night and had the note on the door that Fedex didn't leave it (no signature). Drove to Fedex location (10-12) miles away and picked up "like new" phone. I was impressed with the physical appearance. It looked truly "like new''. Called to activate phone-no problem. Did my *228 to program-no problem. I make my test call and the problems start. With the volume all the way up I can barely here the voice. When I take the phone away from my ear the display goes dark.In order to see the display to end the call I need to slide open the keyboard. So, no volume and no display when calls end. On the pnone with 2 levels of tech support for 1 1/2 hours and no luck. Said they would send out another "like new' to me but with the holiday I wouldn't get it until Tuesday. After some discussion they agreed to send it overnight Saturday delivery to my office by noontime. Believe it or not I'm not upset. Things happen. They are doing all the right things to correct my problem. By the way, all my contacts,photos,and favorites came over as I'd hoped. However only 1/2 my apps came over. That may be because I didn't give them enough time to. I'll keep you posted. Stay tuned for Round 3.

Either way stock or modded this phone is just buggy.and there is something, wrong with the microphone. Can they tell ota that the phone is rooted? I'm going to return it to stock before I send it back to them, but don't want to do it till I know they are going to replace it.Last time they checked to see when the last tower update was, but I don't know if they were checking their info or my phone info.

I haven't really concerned myself with app piracy; I only have one app under my belt for Android, it's in beta and it's free. I'm about to start development on another app and looking to use ProGuard for obfuscation and LVL as I would like to make it a paid app, and I've been wondering something ever since the news that LVL had been circumvented months ago.Is it possible to check the .apk's signature from within the API? If not currently, perhaps Google might add some code to Android itself or to the API to enable LVL to make sure that the.apk signature matches the signature that Android Market already has on file?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI already use easytether for internet access on the go, what i need is an app that will allow me to tether my phone and dial a specific number of my choosing. I run a termninal program on my pc that connects to a remote terminal via land line that uses typical rs-232 communications, but easytether or pdanet do not allow dialing of specific numbers. I use a LG VX8360 with the drivers (LG CDMA USB mondem driver) and this gives me the option in my terminal program on my PC to select the LG phone and as modem and the terminal then dials which ever phone number i choose.
