I've been having an Exchange sync error but don't how to find more dettails of the actual error, was working fine until yesterday and am told nothing has changwed on the serverside.the error I get is "Sync protocol error".Has anyone seen this before?

I have problem with calendar on my HTC desire. Sync with ms exchange works fine, but I can't add new exchange event on the phone. It is strange becouse I can edit exchange calendar entries (synced from PC). Has anybody got an idea how to fix it?

When I reduce the number of contacts in their mailbox down, synchronization resumes. Does anyone know of a limit that android has on contact synchronization? I've seen this on both the Droid X and Incredible.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed b-folders (a password manager) and it allows for a wireless sync between the DI and desktop, so i connected to the wireless network at work for the first time for the sync.Everything went well, except I stopped getting push mail from Exchange.I remembered a thread about Exchange not syncing over a wireless connection, so I turned off the wireless.My other e-mail accounts work fine, as do syncing calendar and contacts for exchange (both ways).I can send mail from the DI on the Exchange account, but I get no mail on the phone from the Exchange account.I have removed the battery, resaved the account information for the Exchange account, but still no mail received on the phone.I am at my wits end trying to figure this out.the problem seems only to effect incoming mail from the Exchange server on the phone, all the other info from the server comes through fine (even 5 minute alarms for upcoming appointments).Any ideas from the cloud?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new to the forums, hoping someone is able to assist me with some Exchange Server Contact sync problems. We are running Exchange 2007 (w/ SSL) and my mail and calendars sync no problem. But when it does the contacts, I get the error "Synchronization is experiencing problems" with no further message to the error. I have tried over WiFi and with the carriers network. This is on a fresh wipe of the device, I have tried deleting and re-adding the exchange account to the device but with the same error. I get approx 6 of my 325 contacts synced.

For the first ten days or so all my contacts were syncing fine on the Hero from my Exchange account. I then added a new contact in Outlook / Exchange and from this point on, every time I sync the exchange contacts it fails with a client / server conversion error in the notifications. I deleted said contact again in Outlook to no avail.
The mail and calendar are syncing fine, and I have an HTC Snap syncing to the same Exchange account on the same network (Orange UK) just fine (I know the latter is Windows Mobile but still...)
Any ideas? Or is there any way I can see a log of some sort to see why it is failing?
Just updated to 2.2 froyo on an O2 Desire.Everything went smoothly except that my exchange is no longer syncing.I tried removing the account and adding it again but to no avail.Anybody identified the exact problem?I've tried everything.

Please try again later'. I've tried lots of times but always get the same message. I've tried varying the information I've put in to see if that helps but no joy.Has anyone else had this problem?

Mail and Calendar works fine, but when syncing contacts it says it can't connect to server. I then have to remove my account and set it up for scratch again. Then it works fine for a weeks or so. I've got my emails working fine on the gmail app, but for some reason when I try to sync gmail with ActiveSync exchange I keep getting 'authentication error'. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to resolve it? Also, anyone who's got it working could you let me know your settings? I think I'm using the correct ones but might as well check.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the HTC Desire with Android 2.1. I sync it with exchange, but it tells me I have to have a "phone unlock code" to sync with exchange. This more or less ruins the phone for me, as I have to type a password EVERY single time the screen locks (or go to standby). Only way I can see around it is forwarding all my exchange mail + syncing all my exchange contacts and my exchange calendar with g-mail, but that is a rather poor solution I think : I have g-mail sync running as well, and that does not require me to have a "unlock password" Does anyone know a way to get around this annoying "you must have an unlock code to sync with exchange" issue?

I cannot get it to work though I am using all the settings that our IT department has given me. The setup keeps saying, check your Exchange account settings. View 2 Replies View RelatedUp until today i have had no problems with my Desire, then i tried to sync my phone with HTC Sync and the phone couldn't see the software. done the usual and checked and double checked i had the right settings, also un installed it and re installed from the SD card and it see's it but won't allow apps to be installed from my pc 80004005 is the error i get when clicking on the application installer in HTC Sync. I have tried the updated HTC sync from HTC website and that won't even install to my PC, i get an error when clicking the .exe All this was working fine yesterday and now somethings wrong Any ideas guys?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI get this error whenever I try to manually refresh my Exchange email account. I noticed I hadn't received any emails all weekend, which was odd. I booted up my iPhone, and there were 7 new emails. My Evo (which has all my previous emails in it) doesn't show these. I was not connected to WiFi (we aren't allowed to have it at my work) when I initially setup the account, and I've since tried through my home WiFi and through 3G.

I got my inc in April this year and had the exchange sync connected to my work email with no issues. Last week i dropped the my inc, broke the glass and got a new inc from asurion, which shipped with 2.2. I never installed the 2.2 on the old phone. Since the new phone, none of my work emails pop. If I open the mail app it syncs. I deleted and reinstalled the account a few times and no change. Anyone with these issues with 2.2 and know how to correct it?Also my phone is not rooted.

For example: When I was on winmo, my Exchange appointment and outlook appointment would update each other not create a duplicate. Now that I've synced my PC, I have the same appointment twice on my phone. Green for Exchange and Orange for Outlook. Is there anyway to keep the data the same? In other words, if I have a 5pm meeting on exchange, and I sync with outlook, I want both sources to update the same appointment. Not create another 5pm meeting.
