I set up exchange and accidentally clicked "import contacts". Now I have way too many names in my contacts list since it imported every business contact who emailed me. Am I screwed or is there a way to remove all these contacts?

I have problem with calendar on my HTC desire. Sync with ms exchange works fine, but I can't add new exchange event on the phone. It is strange becouse I can edit exchange calendar entries (synced from PC). Has anybody got an idea how to fix it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my inc in April this year and had the exchange sync connected to my work email with no issues. Last week i dropped the my inc, broke the glass and got a new inc from asurion, which shipped with 2.2. I never installed the 2.2 on the old phone. Since the new phone, none of my work emails pop. If I open the mail app it syncs. I deleted and reinstalled the account a few times and no change. Anyone with these issues with 2.2 and know how to correct it?Also my phone is not rooted.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to sync my outlook and exchange data as the same appointments and info on my phone? For example: When I was on winmo, my Exchange appointment and outlook appointment would update each other not create a duplicate. Now that I've synced my PC, I have the same appointment twice on my phone. Green for Exchange and Orange for Outlook. Is there anyway to keep the data the same? In other words, if I have a 5pm meeting on exchange, and I sync with outlook, I want both sources to update the same appointment. Not create another 5pm meeting.

(i'm using plain vanilla Outlook, no Exchange). i happen to run all email via a gmail account for backup, spam filtering, emergencies when I don't have my laptop) so syncing email is not an issue.

Is there a way to have it sync with ALL the calendars on my exchange account? (And I did go to the calendars selection settings but it only shows one of my exchange calendars.

I can refresh my email, but I can't see a calendar refresh option? I worked it out. Just go to home screen, menu, Settings, Data synchronization, Exchange ActiveSync and there's a Sync now button at the bottom of the screen that syncs mail, contacts and calendar when you click it. Perfect. Would be nice if it was a little easier to get to though!

View 1 Replies View RelatedContacts and Email sync just fine with Exchange 2007 on my EVO 4g (latest firmware update as of 7/26/10) the problem is the calendar sync.I can create single appointments on my EVO and they'll appear right away in the Outlook calendar. I can do the reverse in Outlook and they'll appear right away on the EVO's calendar. I can delete in both places as well.The issue is, any appointments that seem to be reoccurring don't sync over to the evo. I see them all in Outlook, but no matter what I do, I can't sync them to the EVO. I've tried setting the sync range to "All" in the calendar settings, manually refreshing, even slightly modifying the reoccurring appointment in Outlook and saving it, but nothing helps.

I got rid of my iphone 3g for the HTC incredible, as so far its been great.I'm looking to have my gmail set up on my HTC using their exchange, or push email (rather than imap). I've got that set up, but had to download a new mail client to do so, as the built in mail client wont allow me to sync my work calendar (only the calendar) though my corporate exchange, and have gmail set up with exchange as well.I was wondering if there is an exchange calendar only app, or an email app that will sync my corporate exchange calendar. I do no like the interface of the email app I downloaded. I would like to use the built in email app with android 2.1 for my Gmail, and a different app to sync only my work calendar.Note, I do not want to sync my work calendar to google calendar, and then to my phone. I'm less than impressed with google calendar, and thats one more hoop to jump through / point of failure.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a new HTC Hero.I am currebtly syncing with Exchange using the Exchange sync app that come with the Hero.I used to us RoadSync from DataViz on my Nokia which was great.There are a couple of features that I miss.
a) I can't set different sync schedules for different times of day lie I can in RoadSync.
b) I can't seem to access the Exchange Global Address List like I could in RoadSync.
So.
1) Does any one have experience of using the Beta of RoadSync on Android. Is it any good ? Does it have the features above ?
2) Can anyone recommend any other Exchange sync apps ?
Also, is there any way to force exchange sync, roadsync or any app for that matter to use a particular connection, i.e. 3G or wifi only ?
I am looking for the best way to sync my Outlook with my Droid 2. I am a single user, don't have MS Exchange or Google Apps. I want to be able to update both in Outlook and on my Droid and have them sync.... with the least amount of problems and applications.
I don't mind paying a (moderate) fee, but it seems like TouchDown and some of the other recommended apps require MS Exchange.
2) If I do need MS Exchange, what's the best way for me to do that?
3) I remember reading that the upcoming Droid Pro (for Verizon) will have the inherent ability to sync Outlook and the Droid (I'm not positive but I believe it will) - does this mean that there will be a 3rd party application, or an update to Froyo 2.2, that will be released afterward to allow this with other Droids?

I'm trying to set up the exchange sync to sync my work email to my Desire.I go through the setup and fill in the details as required but when I go to finish the setup I always get a message saying 'Failed to create the account. Please try again later'. I've tried lots of times but always get the same message. I've tried varying the information I've put in to see if that helps but no joy.Has anyone else had this problem?

All i want is to receive the adresses in our Company Directory into my phone. But will my phone try to upload my (private) contacts into exchange? I have not found any rules to be set about this. I know that IT at work have made changes to allow Android phones as they did it when the Motorola droid appeared, but whenever i try to connect i get "Username or Password incorrect".They are setup correctly and i have logged into OWA on the phone just to make sure its ok.Has anyone else had this? if so how did you resolve it?

I've been readying have successfully been able to setup their droid phones this way but heard EVO users were having difficulties. I was not able to sync with the hotmail exchange account and wanted to see if any other Evo users have been successful.

I connect my DHD to the Exchange 2007 at works and it works great for the most parts, but weekly my contacts fail to synchronize. Mail and Calendar works fine, but when syncing contacts it says it can't connect to server. I then have to remove my account and set it up for scratch again. Then it works fine for a weeks or so. Anyone else with the same problem?

For some reason, I keep getting an Exchange sync error for Contacts only. Mail and Calendar work fine, but I do not see Notes and Tasks. Now, i have it set to check "Every 10 minutes" and my battery is at 60% after 7 hours of heavy use!! Incredible! I am using Exchange 2003 (hosted provider) and I've NEVER had a device do this. The devices always seem to last longer with "as items arrive" set - since it isn't syncing regardless every 10 minutes.
