I just got my droid incredible last week, and I am in the process of getting everything set up on it. What have you guys found to be the best way to sync with exchange and is there anyway to sync notes?

I got my inc in April this year and had the exchange sync connected to my work email with no issues. Last week i dropped the my inc, broke the glass and got a new inc from asurion, which shipped with 2.2. I never installed the 2.2 on the old phone. Since the new phone, none of my work emails pop. If I open the mail app it syncs. I deleted and reinstalled the account a few times and no change. Anyone with these issues with 2.2 and know how to correct it?Also my phone is not rooted.

Restarting the server doesn't resolve this error, but removing the account from my Droid and re-adding it does.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have htc incredible and activesync is working fine for mail and contact.but i noticed, when i look at the account setting for by exchange account, that the calendar is getting a sync error - 'synchronization is experiancing problems.not sure what to do or where i can find more info on the issue. there are some events in my phone calendar, but others are missing.could it be one corrupt entry that is stopping things? any way to drill down (on phone or server) to figure out what the issue might be?

They change, but show up twice on my DINC: same event, same time, same place, etc., but only once via PC.I am trying to solve and here's a question: when you go to calendar > menu > more > Calendars > what choices do you have and what do you have checked? I have "'My Calendar"; "Exchange"; and "PC Sync" and I feel like I should only have one checked, but don't knwo which one. I am new to Droid and want to stay, but this is killing me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed b-folders (a password manager) and it allows for a wireless sync between the DI and desktop, so i connected to the wireless network at work for the first time for the sync.Everything went well, except I stopped getting push mail from Exchange.I remembered a thread about Exchange not syncing over a wireless connection, so I turned off the wireless.My other e-mail accounts work fine, as do syncing calendar and contacts for exchange (both ways).I can send mail from the DI on the Exchange account, but I get no mail on the phone from the Exchange account.I have removed the battery, resaved the account information for the Exchange account, but still no mail received on the phone.I am at my wits end trying to figure this out.the problem seems only to effect incoming mail from the Exchange server on the phone, all the other info from the server comes through fine (even 5 minute alarms for upcoming appointments).Any ideas from the cloud?
View 1 Replies View RelatedPicked up the Incredible the day it was release and have had no issues what so ever. I rooted the phone last night, and today Exchange Active Sync will not let my phone sleep. If I remove my Exchange account, or simply disable active sync, then the phone sleeps.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a calendar problem Microsoft Exchange/Active Sync. Calendar items I enter in my Incredible show up on Outlook. Initially, my Outlook calendar items also showed up on my Incredible but those calendar items have now disappeared after about three days and any new calendar items entered in Outlook do not appear. Email works fine and contacts entered in either Outlook or the Incredible sync without a problem.

I have Activesync working fine, able to receive and send emails, have all of my contacts and calendar items. Works flawlessly, other than the Company Directory. When I search for someone in the Global Address List using the Online Directories and then Company Directory I get the person, their email, Company and Title but no phone numbers. I have used a couple of iPhones and they return all the info and accessing the OMA page and searching returns all the info. Any thoughts? I looked at the logs on the OMA sever (also our OWA server) and show no errors in the Event viewer or the IIS logs and VZW was completely useless.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI got an incredible yesterday.Been trying to get Exchange active sync to work.The problem is that no matter what option I choose in Schedule (as items arrive, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, etc...), the phone always defaults back to Manual.Nothing I do will make the change stick.I've tried a battery pull, deleting the account multiple times and re-adding it.I even installed the trial version of touchdown to make sure push email was set up correctly on the server and it works perfectly in touchdown.Any thoughts?I've done about everything I can think of.I don't want to buy touchdown because this should work for free.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the D Inc and have a question. Is there anyone to create filters in Active Sync Exchange that filters out emails so they don't hit your Inc. I have a rule setup in Outlook that automatically sends an email sent by a specific email address to go directly to my deleted items in my Personal Folders in Outlook 2007. The reason why i ask is because on my BB Storm, I setup a filter that blocked these emails from going to my BB In box. I also remember on my Moto Q with Win Mobile I always also able to setup a filter as well. I work at a help desk with a ticket tracking system, the system sends an email for every ticket opened by the help desk to all help desk employees, so my in box can fill up quite quickly. I did notice that if I have Outlook opened up on my desktop these emails do not show up on my D Inc, but when I close Outlook (Like I did last night before I went home), they are showing up today on my Inc.

But I have gobs of outlook notes that I want to use on my Sprint Hero. MyLink Access (Advanced) is about the only one that I have found, but their developers have not released anything other than the free version. They told me the advanced would be released before Christmas. I know it is not Christmas yet, but I just don't see that in the future. I would settle for an application that I could manage on my desktop so that I could retype all the notes and then have the desktop synch with the phone ..

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an HTC Incredible on Verison running Android 2.1. With the Blackberry (NOT Exchange), I was easily able to sync contacts, calendar, Tasks, and notes with my BB. I cannot seem to do this with the Incredible.
I actually found an HTC Sync program on my phone which I installed and was able to sync the calendar and contacts once, but I have been unable to do so again. I have not found any snyc for notes or tasks. This seems like such a standard need that I cannot understand why it is not a basic ability on this awesome phone.
Anyway, I need to be able to sync my contacts, calendar, tasks and notes AND I would like to be able to backup my phone to my PC.
I have being trying to find an app the syncs Memos on my Droid X with either my computer or with Gmail. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the right app. So my approach is to set up a contact in Gmail and populate the "Note" field only with my Memo information. Then on my Droid X & in Gmail, I set up a contact group titled "Memos" and added these contacts to that group. This way, the "Memos" are on my handheld and sync'd with Gmail and can be viewed separately from my other contacts when I look at the "Memos" contact group.
It would be nice if we were able to automatically sync our "groups" in Gmail with the "groups" on Droid X instead of setting up the groups manually, but this is another one of the stupid deficiencies in the Droid X software.
I wrote up a method to do sync with Lotus Notes using CompanionLink. Of all the products I've look at, they all offered Sync via Internet and no USB. View 1 Replies View RelatedFor those of us Palm fans who have been searching for an application for notes/memo pad that can sync easily to the phone and laptop, the best one I have found so far is B-Folders. I have created notes on my laptop, edited them, deleted etc., then sync through WiFi to my HTC Hero easily. All notes are synced exactly, no duplicates, no weird stuff going on - and if I delete a note on my laptop, then it is deleted on my phone. It is phenomenal except that you can't yet sync using your cable (i.e. you always need Internet access to sync your phones). So this morning, Saturday 31 July, about 8.45 am, I emailed the company who makes it (Welcome to JointLogic!) and asked them when would we be able to sync with a cable i.e. direct to the computer without using internet. Less than 15 minutes later I got a response (remember, this is a Saturday morning): which was:
