I have configured this to push and its working fine in terms of sending and receiving emails. The main problem I have is that it loses sync with the exchange account. If I delete from the device it sometimes does not remove them from my outlook and viceversa. Has anyone else got this phone connected to an exchange 2003 server SP2 ? Also has anyone managed to get any other folders to sync other than the inbox ?

What is the easiest way to troubleshoot the Exchange Active Sync configuration on a HTC Desire? I cannot get it to work though I am using all the settings that our IT department has given me. The setup keeps saying, check your Exchange account settings. I am not even able to connect to the mail server. I am using Wi-Fi and I have a network connection so there is no problem with that part. Can I get a trace or similar that shows if there is the credentials that are not working or what is the causing the problem?

I've been readying have successfully been able to setup their droid phones this way but heard EVO users were having difficulties. I was not able to sync with the hotmail exchange account and wanted to see if any other Evo users have been successful.

For some reason I can't sync my google exchange account. My calander syncs fine, but my mail won't. It keeps saying "synchronization is experiencing problems." Anyone else have this issue as of today? I am just trying to figure out if its my phone or something on googles end.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an Exchange account with my school that I sync my email and contacts to my android phone with no problems. However, the school made a shared calendar for our class schedules that I added to my Exchange account (by adding the URL), but this calendar will not sync to my phone. If I create my own events in my personal calendar, that works fine and shows up, but the calendar that I added from the school will not. It shows up just fine on Outlook on the PC.
My current solution is to just add that calendar to my google account and sync it, but the problem with that is that our class schedules can sometimes change suddenly and gmail doesn't sync very often, which has led to some problems for me in the past. I would much rather have the direct syncing of the calendar to my phone instead of through google.
What makes it more aggravating is that my friend has no problem syncing the calendar with iOS, so I know it should be possible. I've tried using Touchdown but that has the same problem.Here is an image from the Outlook Web app showing both calendars

I want to sync my phone contacts with the gmail account. I read several threads from this forum and tried to change from phone contacts to google contacts instead. However, nothing happen when I manually sync. The icon rotating indicated that sync was in process. Afterward, I checked on my gmail's contacts, nothing change. No contact has phone number. I even tried to create some dummy contacts but not work either.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have searched around on this and other forums, looking for the answer to a question that has been bugging me since before the weekend.I got the HTC desire on friday (love the phone!) and have got to the point where most of the things are set up how I want. I have used HTC sync to import my contacts from Outlook where they were already set up how I wanted. However I can't seem to be able to import these contacts back up to my Google account though. I have turned on all the sync settings and checked these, but nothing seems to work.I tried creating a dummy contact in my google account and prompted a sync from my phone which pulled this down ok. So this would indicate that the sync seems to work one way, but wont pull my contacts back up the other.I don't really want to re-enter all my contacts into my Google account to get the sync working properly plus I am assuming this will create a duplicate of every contact already on my phone.

I've manually synced them on the phone and refreshed the web page to no avail.I created one much earlier on (maybe even yesterday) and it's there.If I create a new contact on the web it appears almost immediately on the phone.

Mail and Calendar works fine, but when syncing contacts it says it can't connect to server. I then have to remove my account and set it up for scratch again. Then it works fine for a weeks or so. Anyone else with the same problem?

I've got my emails working fine on the gmail app, but for some reason when I try to sync gmail with ActiveSync exchange I keep getting 'authentication error'. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to resolve it? Also, anyone who's got it working could you let me know your settings? I think I'm using the correct ones but might as well check.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the HTC Desire with Android 2.1. I sync it with exchange, but it tells me I have to have a "phone unlock code" to sync with exchange. This more or less ruins the phone for me, as I have to type a password EVERY single time the screen locks (or go to standby). Only way I can see around it is forwarding all my exchange mail + syncing all my exchange contacts and my exchange calendar with g-mail, but that is a rather poor solution I think : I have g-mail sync running as well, and that does not require me to have a "unlock password" Does anyone know a way to get around this annoying "you must have an unlock code to sync with exchange" issue?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought my phone week ago and problems with GPS started immediately: I installed MOTONAV (iGO for Motorola) and tried to test it and it worked perfectly... for about 10 minutes and than message "GPS signal lost"... without come back. Reset of GPS or phone didn't solved the problem... I tried GPS signal later (after 15-30 minutes) with GPS Test app and there it was - working just like that: catches signal after 10 seconds!
After that I thought application was a problem: uninstalled it, downloaded Navigon - same thing: signal lost after 5-15 minutes of using navapp.
Hard reset of phone, navigon again - same issue.
Just wondering is their anyway to view my contacts on my hotmail account I've setup on my Desire? I can't seem to find them. Also with a few other HTC phones you can link up your contacts individually to their facebook. With the Desire I've found it just seems to want to add everyone to my contacts. Is there anyway to individually link them?

My problem is, I am wanting to do something so simple, I want to sync my contacts on my phone to my gmail account so that it's backed up (if anything happens to my phone) But i tried going to settings and it wont let me do it (maybe i am doing it incorrectly).
