Are there any audio managers that actually work? I want to have my notification volume louder than my ringtone and out of the ones I've tried (Quick Settings and Audio Manager Widget) they work for a few hours then get reset to the ringtone level.

I was watching a video on "best apps of 2014" on YouTube, and a startup manager was one of them.
I downloaded it and tried it out with Skype, rebooted, Skype wasn't under the running apps, barely anything was actually. i thought it worked with the skype, until i rebooted the phone again with nothing selected to not start at startup, and all the same - few - visible processes were running. disable some of the rarely used but always running background processes. for example, a game that i use and enjoy, but not every day and would like it to run upon my request. thats what i thought startup manager would do.
I have had a lot of smart phones but never used bluetooth headsets and have a few questions.Can you get a bluetooth earpiece for answering phone calls that lets you answer from the headset once paired?
Do all the earpieces support streaming or playing music/sprint tv audio/Google listen?Are they all mono or do some single earpieces have stereo?Is there an industry standard for noise reduction that I should look for in the feature list? Any other tips if I just want to buy one and be satisfied its the right one?
My wife's Hero is stock and she said she just lost the audio on the phone. I know there are issues with this on rooted ROM'd phones but hers is stock.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI went from a stock 1.5 to 2.1 using the Sprint 2.1 RUU and all is well. I understand it's a dev build and as such is already root but when I trying installing android-wifi-tether (both 2.0 and 1.6) it all looks well except when I touch the icon to start and it fails. The 1.6 version did report I didn't have root.
What do I need to do in ADB/shell to ensure the proper permissions are there for AWT? This is the last thing I want to get working and I'm happy.
Do I need to remount the filesystem as rw? Add superuser? Not sure what's needed.
I've started to recognize a peculiar problem. During a phone conversation on my Hero, I will start talking, and the other person will start talking just after that (maybe a second or two), then they stop, as they apparently now hear me "interrupting" them. In other words, to them, they started talking first, then I start but to me, I started talking first! (No, I am not purposely interrupting them) It's hard to describe, but it seems that there may be a delay in my audio getting to them. It seems to happen with all callers. Did I make this clear? Now, I am wondering if this happens when I am away from home as well, as I use an Airave device at home. Does anyone else experience this? Does anyone have a suggestion on how to test this? Or a solution?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm using EStrong's File Manager and it has the ability to work over a network. I set up my Linux desktop to share my pictures and music folders. I can connect to the shares via Estrongs and view the pictures, as well as play music. However, so far I can only play 1 song at a time. Does anyone know of a music app that would allow me to create a playlist and stream it from my computer to my phone via wi-fi?

Ok when I download or upload my music from a cd, the album artwork never shows up in itunes for me. So I usually have to manually copy album Pics from the net and paste them in the info section. However my hero either doesn't show the artwork or replaces my pic with some other random artwork pic. Anyone experience this and know how to fix this?

Is the reason why it wont work because im rooted(using fresh 2.0)?
when i download ringtones they come in as .dm files. how do i get them to work. i used to just go to the Internet and get them from the download history, but i lost all that when i ruled my phone. i have astro but can not play them from my card, so i can not add them as ringtones.

Each time it tries to get on the internet it says my sprint login/password are bad. Hell I don't even know where to change them on the Hero.

Also, when I look at open apps, random things like Sprint Navigation is open most the time, I haven't used it in weeks and if I keep killing it, how does it keep opening? Not really sure this thing does too much.
