I recently ripped and downloaded a DVD to my hero. However, the video plays fine, but the audio doesn't seem to be working. The volume in the "media player" is turned up all the way.Any ideas on why the audio isn't working?

I have installed Meridian for playing my mp4 video files. I have started converting my avi's to mp4. I was testing some of the first ones and Meridian. I like this player but I have a question about its use. How do you stop a movie that is playing? It is easy to pause a movie but I don't know how to stop it other than using a task manager and killing it.

On my onld phone (Windows Mobile based) I could listen to certain sports commentaries via the internet stream. (I think they are .wma files). Is there any app that will allow me to play these or is it beyond android to play windows media format at the moment. for information the Hero tries to play but returns a content not supported' type error

I came from a jailbroken iPhone and I use to have an app called iPodMovie.info. It let you stream and download tv shows, and movies, even before they were released. My question is, is there an app similar to this for Android or the Hero?
View 3 Replies View Relatedso I have all of my .mp3's on my PC by artist, then subfolders, albums. I have retagged them all. I have a total of 15 artists, 26 albums, 340 songs. I dragged and dropped the folders over to the SD card under "Music". I then fire up the music player and my "Now Playing" screen, at the very top, under "Now Playing" it's only showing 1/100. I can scroll through the albums, but it's not listing all of them. How do I get all albums to show on the now playing screen? Or is it even possible? This is driving me nutz!

Just have to fix a few things before I release it for download. I am trying to add audio but am having a problem. I load the audio file into the /data/local/ folder (as an mp3 file) but it doesn't seem to play. Here is a video of the boot animation:

I thought I could go the the main youtube.com website and play videos? Don't we have flash lite on the hero? Does anyone get videos to play or are we only limited to the youtube app?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a voice mail, it shows up in the visual voice mail application like it always does. Everything is normal EXCEPT ... When I play the voice mail I hear nothing. The time bar moves as it is playing, but nothing can be heard. This has been happening for the past 3 days. I then have to access my VMs through the traditional "Dial #1" portal. I love visual VM though, and would like to fix this. Does anyone know what the problem might be and/or have had this problem before?
Note: I am not using a task killer, and I don't even have one downloaded on my UNROOTED Hero.
My wife's Hero is stock and she said she just lost the audio on the phone. I know there are issues with this on rooted ROM'd phones but hers is stock.

During a phone conversation on my Hero, I will start talking, and the other person will start talking just after that (maybe a second or two), then they stop, as they apparently now hear me "interrupting" them. In other words, to them, they started talking first, then I start but to me, I started talking first! (No, I am not purposely interrupting them) It's hard to describe, but it seems that there may be a delay in my audio getting to them. It seems to happen with all callers. Did I make this clear? Now, I am wondering if this happens when I am away from home as well, as I use an Airave device at home. Does anyone else experience this? Does anyone have a suggestion on how to test this? Or a solution?

I can connect to the shares via Estrongs and view the pictures, as well as play music. However, so far I can only play 1 song at a time. The user can select from a list of audio files and come to this activity which plays the audio.Now the user might go back to the previous activity (with the list)and select another audio file. View 2 Replies View RelatedIn a nut shell, when the app is loaded, it will play a short movie (maybe a few seconds at most @ 12-24fps). I will then have 2 buttons displayed on the screen, and depending on what button is pressed, it I will play another short movie (5-10 seconds). While waiting for the user to make a decision, the movie will be looping.
The movie source is stop-motion photography so it's already chopped up into frames. My question here is if I should use a Frame Animation technique, or if I should use a Movie player for this. All in all perhaps there's less than 100 still frames that make up the stop-motion. I was going to go the Frame Animation route, but I wasn't sure if having so many individual frames would kill the app so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone had any insight.
Is there a movie player that will play the movie in full screen capacity instead of wide screen or only a small part of the screen?
View 5 Replies View RelatedHas anyone figured out how to play audio from the HTC EVO (mp3, Pandora, etc) through the USB or HDMI ports?I've looked seemingly everywhere and have not found anyone who has done it.I want to be able to amply drive my Grado SR80i headphones.I believe I could do it with a portable amp like HeadRoom's Total AirHead through the headphone jack, but if I'm not mistaken, the headphone jack is sonically inferior to a line out jack. The problem is, the EVO doesn't have a line out jack.my inquiry regarding harnessing audio from either the USB or HDMI ports.Let's assume the answer to my question above is NO.I'm relatively satisfied with the sound quality I get from the EVO using Sennheiser PX 100 headphones and the tiny FiiO amp. The problem is, I blew the Sennheisers. That's why I bought the Grados.Undoubtedly, the Grados will handle more power. Unfortunately, my tiny FiiO amp won't power the Grados. So my second question then is will a better amp sufficiently power the Grados through the headphone jack?

I just switched over from the Metro PCS Samsung Code which is a Windows 6 phone to EVO and I put my SD Card in my EVO. All my music files play and the mp4 video files play but the audio from the mp4 video files dont. Does anyone have advice on how to fix this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to very quickly port over an html application with plays sound (with soundmanager2) to a native android app using WebView. From my research, I haven't seen any evidence that sound, such as mp3s, can be played via javascript or any other methods using WebView.
My goal now is to quickly port over the html app and then eventually create a truely native application without using WebViews.
If anyone has been able to successfully implement playing audio using WebViews and Javascript or if this is just not possible at this time.
