I know the Nexus One and the Incredible are are very close, but can someone confirm that an Incredible will work in a Nexus One car dock and desk dock?

I am thinking about purchasing a MyTouch dock to use with my Sprint Hero, but I'd like to know from people who already use it. Does it fit the Hero well? Perfectly? Not at all? Is there a distinct "click" when it is plugged in, like what you feel when inserting a usb cable? Is it firm? Wobbly? Pictures/videos would be greatly appreciated.I would not be using a case with this dock. Just naked Hero.

I've seen plenty on eBay and random accessory sites, but most of them are very square/blocky and very unattractive. I've also heard that the MyTouch 3G dock works, but doesn't fit perfectly so I'd like to stay away from that.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been looking everywhere for a compatible dock/cradle for the HTC Sprint Hero that has the ability to charge the phone while also including external speakers for music playback while at work and/or home. Something similar to one of the ipod style speaker docks would be phenomenal. I even thought of buying of those styles and then getting an ipod to mini usb adapter for the Hero to plug into. I just don't know if it would work properly. It sounds like a good idea. Has anyone else found an alternative or tried something similar to this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI went from a stock 1.5 to 2.1 using the Sprint 2.1 RUU and all is well. I understand it's a dev build and as such is already root but when I trying installing android-wifi-tether (both 2.0 and 1.6) it all looks well except when I touch the icon to start and it fails. The 1.6 version did report I didn't have root.
What do I need to do in ADB/shell to ensure the proper permissions are there for AWT? This is the last thing I want to get working and I'm happy.
Do I need to remount the filesystem as rw? Add superuser? Not sure what's needed.
So, I installed the N1 News and Weather App and find it to be awesome!
My question...are there any other apps from the N1 or other android phones that will work on the Hero?
My alarm clock on the HERO doesnt work now, i set the alarm but it doesnt go off. Seemingly it might be an app which is stopping it from working? is it possible=? and also how might i find out which app it is thats stopping it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have the car dock which is nice rotates 360 but the phone home screen does not rotate, only certain screens rotate. It would be nice if the contacts screen would rotate also when the phone does. Also would be nice if it would rotate 360 not just one way 90 degrees.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf you want the nexus one launcher and you are running 2.1 (damage control/darchdroid) Look for "Helix Launcher" in the market....it is free and can have up to seven screens. Just hit menu, and configure up to seven screens. I just downloaded and it looks pretty sweet so far. I have heard from both 2.0.1 rooted and non rooted users as being able to see this in the market.Please let me know if you can�t. If you have a rooted Android 2.0.1 device and can�t see this app, there is a simple hack you can do to make 2.1 apps viewable and then down loadable in the market.

Okay, sorry about that first paragraph. Short description, This is being released because of another thread where it was requested. These are my personal mods that I made and use for myself but am now sharing with you all. I havent tried/looked into making a "flashable update zip" so for now this comes as a package of APK files that you will push to your phone via ADB. I have made this slightly easier for you as I have provided all the commands needed that can simply be pasted into a terminal window.......................
There is one already installed in Fresh 2.0d. I'm switching back to DamageControl v2.07 and I know there wasn't the launcher in there before. Does anyone know if there is a launcher I can flash onto Damage?

So I usually have to manually copy album Pics from the net and paste them in the info section. However my hero either doesn't show the artwork or replaces my pic with some other random artwork pic. Anyone experience this and know how to fix this?

Is the reason why it wont work because im rooted(using fresh 2.0)?
when i download ringtones they come in as .dm files. how do i get them to work. i used to just go to the Internet and get them from the download history, but i lost all that when i ruled my phone. i have astro but can not play them from my card, so i can not add them as ringtones.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my N1 car dock and i want to put it on my dashboard. Problem is its not smooth enough for the suction - so i "need" to use the included adhesive pad/disc to properly secure it..
I'm worried about this because: It's a brand new EVO that i paid a lot for - i do not want to mess up my dash.. So:
1) Is the adhesive disc removable?
2) Can it be removed and not leave and residue?
3) If it does leave residue can it be removed easy?
4) What is the possibility of it stripping off any paint on the dash?
Just got my Sprint Hero a few days ago and fell in love with it - especially compared to the Moment I traded in for it. Installed the Fresh 1.1 ROM and love it ten times more.
I can't imagine the Nexus One being that much better than this phone. Anyone have/use both and can offer some comparison thoughts? And maybe some links to side-by-side comparisons? For some reason when I look at N1 photos I imagine it to be about twice the size of my Hero.
I want to change my rom and backup my apps before I do so but EVERY app i've tried for this does not work. I've tried titanium, my apps, and astro... they all failed to back up my stuff. Any suggestions? do I even need to back them up or will they survive the flash?

The headphones work so I can hear music and such but the mic isn't picking up anything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
