I keep getting errors that my login/password are bad when I try to do mobile networking with my laptop, I wanna use my phone as basically a modem for my laptop. Each time it tries to get on the internet it says my sprint login/password are bad. Hell I don't even know where to change them on the Hero.

I have been having some trouble getting my mobile network sharing to work. I have my mobile network on and its connected to my computer and i have htc sync installed and it starts to connect. It load the adapter to my comp but i get this error code 67 thing and it says that my PCS vision user name or password may be incorrect.

First, hi, new Hero owner (1 week now) and I love it. I've been reading the forums here since I got it and I have to say, you guys are very helpful.I'm an avid facebook user and I've been breaking in to twitter recently. Currently I'm using facebook for android and i tweet (read the peep warning thread) and was wondering if there were any better apps for these?Also, since so many sense UI widgets seem to have troubles with taking too much memory, I wondered if I should find a different mp3 player than the stock music player/widget?

I was interested in purchasing an unlocked HTC Hero but I wasn't sure how to configure it to the tmobile usa network. In the video posted by Rob Jackson here HTC Hero On T-Mobile USA: SIM Card Switcheroo | Android Phone Fans it shows him going into mobile network settings and configuring some things. If i were to get a hero would i have to do the same to get the phone working? If so how would i get that information.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI went from a stock 1.5 to 2.1 using the Sprint 2.1 RUU and all is well. I understand it's a dev build and as such is already root but when I trying installing android-wifi-tether (both 2.0 and 1.6) it all looks well except when I touch the icon to start and it fails. The 1.6 version did report I didn't have root.
What do I need to do in ADB/shell to ensure the proper permissions are there for AWT? This is the last thing I want to get working and I'm happy.
Do I need to remount the filesystem as rw? Add superuser? Not sure what's needed.
1.) Is it 3G compatible with AT&T or T-Mobile?
2.) Does the Android 2.1 update enable this phone for Live Wallpapers?
Out of curiousity, is it better to use the mobile network or Wi-Fi if it is available? Is there a difference in battery consumption/speed/connectivity, etc.?

I can't even toggle the mobile network widget.When I go to Settings Wireless, Mobile network is grayed our and it says "Turning on..." below it.I saw in another thread to cycle the network off and on. I have to do this through a long press on the power button, but it doesn't ever connect.Is this a phone issue, or could there be network problems in my area?

Im trying to do something and i realize i cant because my mobile network is off, i dont use wifi because i want to save battery life. View 5 Replies View RelatedI don't know if it was a settings app (Quick Settings by Sergey) from the android market that caused it, but after uninstalling that app (the only other one i use right now is the lock screen widget - which i just uninstalled), i can't turn the mobile network on. i've tried the airplane mode trick, gone into settings, soft reset, etc. any ideas in the manage applications? i'd rather not do another hard reset (had to for the google account). i called htc and they were useless - with no trouble shooting, they recommended a hard reset and to not download apps! btw, i'm on a non-rooted phone.

Since I've gotten the Hero, the Video tab does not show up on espn mobile, anyone know why or have another way of seeing these videos?

AndroLib, Find all applications and games available in the Android Market for your Android Phone, HTC Dream, HTC Magic etc... shows that it is out there! I hope this isn't an Android 1.5 thing... But heres the Question: Is there a way to root this hero to unlock the sprint mobile network so that he can text anytime and anywhere the phone is on? Right now he can only do it through wifi.
So I'm guessing you cant talk and go online through the mobile network, I remember reading that in the book and from personal experience. But I remember talking and browsing the web while connected to wifi, but can no longer. Whats up with that?
