Samsung Epic 4G :: Epic Will Not Charge - Turned Off And Will Not Turn On - Not Wet Or Dropped
Nov 24, 2010My Samung Epic 4g was working fine until I plugged in the charger and it WOULD NOT CHARGE. tried another charger, nothing. Tested outlet, yes, it provides electric. So I turned off the Epic and IT WILL NOT TURN ON. Took battery out for a while, put it back in nothing.

Sep 1, 2010My Epic Has been charging for hours now and still hasn't hit full charge. I was charging it at work all day and now when I got home. Horrible battery life and worst of all it takes insane amounts of time for it too charge. Yes I have reset my phone many times and even did a factory reset. Is this happening to anyone else?

Sep 19, 2010How many times do you charge your Epic 4G a day? On the day where I'm on the go and don't use it that much I charge my Epic 4G 2x a day. On a day I heavily (3-4hrs then charge) use it I charge it about 3x a day. What about you people?

Sep 15, 2010I've had this phone since day one and I've ran the battery down almost every day and only had minimum "low battery" alerts but tonight I am getting a warning flash on the screen every 10 seconds saying "Low Battery: Please Charge Battery". Seriously, every 10 seconds and it started at 15% battery left.so I have at least 30-60 minutes of life left.

Nov 27, 2010I tried to search but I'm new to Sprint and just got the epic 4g coming from N1 and AT&T. Had a question regarding the 3g icon. Most of time instead of seeing the up and down arrows under the 3g icon, I see a "D" and if I have 4g on I see the 4g logo with the letters "zzz".. what is the "D" and if this means it is idle 3g how can I stop this? Does this mean that my gmail etc does not sync unless I use an application that needs to use data?

Jul 20, 2010I, like everyone esle, am waiting on the Epic 4g but I have a theory on why Sprint will continue to hold off on the Epic, the Evo Shortage. Currently there is a shortage of HTC Evo's, and waiting lists for them at all the stores in my area. Last store I checked with had a waiting list of 70 people. Sprint actually stands to lose money if they released the Epic 4g before they filled the EVO orders. My prediction is we wont' see the Epic 4g released until the Evo shortage issue is resolved. If they have 70 people on a list for Evo's that's 70 guarenteed sales. anything they sell with the Epic is a bonus. if they release the epic too soon the people waiting for evo's could just get Epics and then they lose their bonus Epic Sales. Just a thought big business doesn't think "how can we make our customers happiest" they think "how can we make the most money out of the situation".

Jun 29, 2012I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G and then decided to unroot it. I was using Odin3 v1.85 and about half way through it failed and the phone restarted. Instead of booting into the OS is just displayed a message saying

. When I put it into Downloaded Mode it says

And when I plug it in to to my computer to try to unroot it again, it would not recognize the phone, it did not appear in device manager. I tried two different cables, two different computers, and re-installed the drivers.

As of aug. 9th however, they have updated their news page to have the Epic be publicly displayed in their newsroom. Nothing in the link we already don't know (specs wise), but this does mean that they are beginning to make actual advertisements for the phone which only means the release date is drawing nearer.
