I have a couple of questions about layout.
First, is moving things I don't use from where they are. It is possible to move the Browser icon off the home page?
On the first tap to the right I have the music application, and I never use that. I would like to use that space for App icons. Can I move that?
Finally, two taps to the left is the calender. Can I move that?
I see a Sprint Hotspot app on the Epic. What happens if you press it? Does it auto-activate the hotspot, or does it check to see if you have the add-on plan before it can be used?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've had my epic for a few weeks now and today was the first time I've tried to use the hot spot feature.I'm not rooted (and thus am still running on the stock Samsung image).I can successfully get my laptop to connect to the phone, yet I cannot connect to the interwebs through the phone.I have 4G turned on, but it will not connect when I have the hot spot turned on.Obviously I'm doing something wrong?4G can be turned on and will connect fine, then I can turn on the hot spot and it will disconnect.This is without me even connecting my laptop yet.What gives? Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a known issue and I've just not come across the thread that blatantly explains this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI know how to remove widgets... you long press on them to move them/delete them. My problem is this: I don't know how to remove regular icons on the Hero. On the Moment, everything was simply long press to remove. On this, long pressing the application icons on my home screen(s) just opens the associated programs. I kind of wanted to move them around, I don't wanna have to delete a scene everytime I want to move one icon around.
In short: How do you move/delete application icons from the home screens? (long pressing doesn't work for me)
I will enter a shitload of data on a web page, be it a forum or facebook or whatever. When I click send, reply, post or w.e it then goes to a page saying web page not available. Sometimes I'm able to click back & all of what I just typed is there but there are times when its not. When its not it can get annoying. It used to happen on my moment all the time & its just as frequent on my epic. Its not going to cause me to dump the epic, but I'm thinking maybe browser related ?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been playing around with my Vibrant and just lowered the number of pages the Home screen has. Doing this, however, changed the page that comes up when I hit the actual "Home" button. It's becoming very annoying and switching the order of the pages around by dragging them in the Edit mode hasn't helped. It even sometimes chooses the very right-most, completely blank page to be the default home one. How can I assign which of the Home pages I want to pop up when that button is hit?

Why did they only put 512MB of internal memory for app storage on this Epic when the AT&T galaxy version got 8GB of internal memory in addition to the 16GB micro Sd card???
My memory is full now, and without android 2.2 I can't move apps to the SD card. They should have provided all of their galaxy class phones with the 8GB internal memory.

I have the tronsmart CX-919 mini pc running 4.2 and there is an issue with the browser reverting back to the home page or the previous page. When I try to display a webpage on our intranet it reverts back to the homepage or previous page after about 3 hours. I need it to display constantly. I read somewhere that it was a Download Manager issue and disabling it would work but I can't find where to disable it. Also it was stated that Flash was an issue but i tried uninstalling it and it just reinstalled itself and the problem kept occurring. I just want to display a page in a browser and for it to stay on the screen (full screen) until I manually navigate away from it. I plan to leave it on for weeks at a time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to move an ogg notification to the Epic's internal memory so it will play when the SD card is mounted, but I can't move it to the /system/media/audio/notifications folder. I think it's due to NAND not being unlocked? I have root access. tried creating a /media/audio/notifications folder in internal memory and I could move the file to that folder, but neither rings extended nor ringdroid will see it in that location. Is there someway that this is possible, or do we have to wait for NAND unlock? Surely this is an issue that lots of other people have had.
