Sep 4, 2010I unplugged my phone from the charger and had a text, i dont know why but the light turned purple it was a really cool color too.

Samsung Epic 4G :: Epic Will Not Charge - Turned Off And Will Not Turn On - Not Wet Or Dropped
Nov 24, 2010My Samung Epic 4g was working fine until I plugged in the charger and it WOULD NOT CHARGE. tried another charger, nothing. Tested outlet, yes, it provides electric. So I turned off the Epic and IT WILL NOT TURN ON. Took battery out for a while, put it back in nothing.

Sep 21, 2010I am on my third epic and still having the same problem. My notification light worked fine when the phone was first activated and slowly stopped working altogether. I also bought my girlfriend one and the same thing happened to hers. That's four phones in three weeks. I can't be the only one that is having this issue. Anyone else? My setting for the light to pulse is checked. I have also done a factory reset.

Sep 20, 2010I just downloaded the media hub update today and noticed that now when i get a text message my notification light stays solid instead of blinking...This is annoying because it could cause the battery to drain and it just looks weird...Is there any setting i can mess with, or has anyone else had this problem? I also notice that when i text i don't hear the typing anymore. It's just silent until i click send...Kind of weird...I'm thinking about uninstalling and re-installing handcent..

Nov 27, 2010I did a test I saw on another forum about turning off the DRM Protected Content Storage (OmaDrmConfigService) to make the battery life longer, and it makes mine last tons longer. When this is on my battery will drain to 10-15% overnight, just sleeping. With this 1 thing off, my battery was at 77% when I got up this morning. WTFudge is this thing, and how do I make it stay off because it turns itself back on after I turn on the phone? How do I automatically turn off other running services I don't need running all of the time? Like eBay and Tango and Craigslist etc.?

Sep 30, 2010I accidently sat got my evo into some water on our bathroom the other night and now my phone is acting weird. I disconnected the battery and the phone and allowed them to sit in bags of rice for a few days to draw out the mositure. I turned the phone back on and found the camera is no longer so the water must of wicked in through there, but what is troubling me is the orange charge light comes on as well as a red indicator light on the other side.

Dec 31, 2011I've just started having a problem with my MyTouch 4G in which it won't charge while the phone is switched on. The battery charging symbol displays but the battery % slowly decreases. I have tried using a different battery but no luck. If I go into "battery usage" in settings it says that Wifi & Cellular Idle are the 2 biggest users with 29% each. The strange thing is that these 2 are always using 29% even if I turn Wifi off and put the phone on flight mode. Another user had a similar problem and it turned out to be an app using buttloads of power but I can't identify any on mine doing this. I've done a virus scan.

Sep 24, 2010What's the status on this issue? Many of the Samsung Galaxy S phones come with a beautiful array of soft keys with LEDs that are dieing to be used as notification lights as well. For example, the T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant has 4 soft keys (menu, home, back, search). I would like to be able to set the menu key to light up at an interval of 3 seconds within the first hour of receiving a text message and light up at an interval of 5 seconds or more after the first hour of receiving a text message. Has Samsung released the necessary API? Or does Google have control over this?

I like the phone except for a couple of things that i have noticed one of them being the wobble oreo effect that I seem to have on both phones and I just noticed I have dead pixels on both phones! May 22, 2014I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with Android 4.3 installed on it. I bought it only a month ago, so it is brand new. Out of a sudden, today it randomly wouldn't charge when I plugged it in the charger (the one with the adaptor). I tried with other 2 USB cables, with the SSUB cable and with 2 adaptors and it wouldn't work with any of these (all of which work perfectly with my other devices). More specifically, when plugged in either my laptop or my PC, nothing at all will happen (even if it's turned off). So, the only time it works with these cables is when it's connected to my charger adaptors and the device is turned off. As a consequence, I cannot transfer any items to my SD card or charge it while it's on, which is ridiculous. the phone is brand new, rooted and I haven't installed anything "weird" apart from the usual Facebook, YouTube, Skype apps etc. I also tried a factory reset, but nothing changed. Furthermore, I tried it while having removed my SD card (in case there is a virus or something), without any changes again.

What I'd like to do is completely disable any notifications showing that the charge is complete. Reason being, I use Bedside and at roughly 2am the notification closes bedside and lights my screen up until I acknowledge it. Then I have to close it, re-open bedside and I'm back in business. I charged it from 60% to full and there was no LED on at all. Is there something in the settings that's causing this? I have silent mode on (but it surely can't be that right?) this is kind of weird.
