How many times do you charge your Epic 4G a day? On the day where I'm on the go and don't use it that much I charge my Epic 4G 2x a day. On a day I heavily (3-4hrs then charge) use it I charge it about 3x a day. What about you people?

My Samung Epic 4g was working fine until I plugged in the charger and it WOULD NOT CHARGE. tried another charger, nothing. Tested outlet, yes, it provides electric. So I turned off the Epic and IT WILL NOT TURN ON. Took battery out for a while, put it back in nothing.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI called HTC and told them my battery will not fully charge unless I plug & unplug my phone several times. They said there wasn't a hot ticket about this issue and offered me a replacement battery. I suggest everyone call them and let them know this is problem. 8664498358 I refused the battery as I do not believe it is the issue. I told the rep that I just wanted to make the issue known. I suggested everyone call to let them know there are several people with this problem, not so you can try to get a free battery. I also called Verizon to order a spare battery, then I ordered a separate battery charger from fommy.com to deal with this issue until it is fixed. Shame on you to those who thought they could "steal" a battery from HTC.
View 49 Replies View RelatedLast Friday an OTA update became available for my Epic.I now have Media Hub, which I did not have on my phone when I purchased it last week.Ever since the update while in an application I press the "Home" key to return to my main screen and a window pop-ups that shows 3 options: Home, TWLauncher or LaunchPro. When I click on the check mark "Use by default for this action" and then LaunchPro.I select the LaunchPro by default and you would think that would be the last time i have to do that.It doesn't set it by default and that window keeps popping up every time I try to go back to the touchscreen while inside in an app.I went into the manage applications screen to clear the defaults for the "Home" and "TWLauncher" instead of clearing the defaults for the "LaunchPro". Doing that still doesn't make the LaunchPro the default. When I go back into an application and choose to view my main screen by pressing the "Home" key the pop-up windows comes up for me to make a selection between "Home", "TWLauncher" or "LaunchPro".
I also did download a Home launcher program called "Home Switcher". That still does not lock in the default for me to use LaunchPro.It seems to me that I'm going to have to go to the Sprint store for them to fix the problem, unless you have any more ideas.I did try to troubleshoot this the best I could before posting my problem on here. I'm at a loss as to what to do. Other than this bug I love my Epic.Can anyone help me? I really don't want to go to the Sprint store about this. Is this a permanent bug or is there a solution out there for this? Maybe this is a bug that the 2.2 Froyo update could fix.
Is there an app or widget that will turn off the alert volume at set times? I need to keep my phone on at all times, but the notifications wake me up. I only need the ringer on. I just want an easy way to turn off the notifications and alerts rather than having to open up the options every night.

Horrible battery life and worst of all it takes insane amounts of time for it too charge. Yes I have reset my phone many times and even did a factory reset. Is this happening to anyone else?

Is there a fix for this? Im not running anything new compared to when I was using 2.1 and it "SEEMS" like my battery is dying quicker. I say seems because I havent compared awake/uptimes between 2.1 and 2.2.
Battery life wouldnt be so much an issue if it didnt take FOREVER to actually charge the battery.

I've had this phone since day one and I've ran the battery down almost every day and only had minimum "low battery" alerts but tonight I am getting a warning flash on the screen every 10 seconds saying "Low Battery: Please Charge Battery". Seriously, every 10 seconds and it started at 15% battery left.so I have at least 30-60 minutes of life left.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo its been about a month and a half that I've had my captivate. I've had a few problems with the phone and have searched them, I have found most have the same problems but no one gives any answers to what you can do to fix it.
Problems:
.phone restarts at random times until the battery is taken out and put back in
.text messages delete at random times
.phone does not sync with Facebook
.it does not retrieve e-mails
.gets a bit laggy at times for a 1gHz processor
.seems like the side buttons seems a smashed in and do not "click" properly
Does anyone have any answers to these problems?
Also I wanted to do a factory restore so how can I save my files/ contacts/ etc before I do this to see if it fixes any of the problems.
How to backup my phone would be great..
My mother has the Sprint Moment, and for the past couple days her battery has not been working properly...she keeps her phone plugged in, however her phone does not charge. The battery remains below 15%. Today she even went to Sprint and got a new battery, but the problem persists.
Any ideas? Could she just have a lemon of a phone?

So I end up charging it partially at home and then finish charging it in the car.
