I've had this phone since day one and I've ran the battery down almost every day and only had minimum "low battery" alerts but tonight I am getting a warning flash on the screen every 10 seconds saying "Low Battery: Please Charge Battery". Seriously, every 10 seconds and it started at 15% battery left.so I have at least 30-60 minutes of life left.

View 15 Replies View RelatedMany of us have experienced some battery life fall out since the last update. I mentioned this in the battery life thread but I thought it deserved it own topic. I have an app that I downloaded called battery status. it has a battery history. and it says time without sleeping 7h 10m 25s ago. Thats exactally when I unplugged my phone. This explains why I am seeing 2-3% per hour loss while not using the phone and while in airplane mode. Before the update I could keep the phone in airplane mode, not usre it, and leave work with over 94% battery life. So this proves that somehow the phone is not going into sleep mode... I can guarantee that everyone else in that is experiencing battery drain since the sept 16th update is due to this reason. The question is... why the hell is this happening and why won't the phone go into sleep mode?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a sprint GNex. I just started having this problem recently (but before the 4.3 update). I plug my phone in overnight and at some point in the middle of the night an error occurs that make the phone think it is off the charger and has a fully depleted battery. The battery level icon shows no charge and if I pull the phone off the charger it immediately says it has to shut down due to a low battery. However, as soon as I turn it back on it is back to normal with a full charge.

I charged my battery for 16 hours and it died within 30min. and not just the low battery warning the phone shut off. Ive tried the car charger pluggin it into my computer and the wall charger and the longest it has lasted is 1 hour. havnt really downloaded anything other than a task killer to see if that helped. Bad battery?

Is there a "reserver" on this battery? And what's the trick to getting the phone to charge to 100% and getting the most out of it?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi have an interesting problem. for some reason, when i charge my phone while off, it will only charge itself to 96%, and will only charge to 100% while turned on. i noticed this and figured that maybe i did not fully charge it before i flashed it last time, so i repeated the process and got it to a "true" 100% (i know this because when i plugged it in, it immediately said battery full, as opposed to before i discovered this when after charging (while off) and it said battery full i'd pull the battery then reinsert, it would begin charging again) i then reflashed (warheads). i now run my battery until it dies completely, then charge while off (still only get to 96%), but when it finally gets to 100%, the "battery left" widget says less and less time left each time i charge. (the first time it said 24hrs, then it went to 22, then to 18, then 16, now its 14)what have i done wrong? and does anyone have ideas on how to fix this one?

I know that With the nexus one, people are told to fully charge the phone for an amount of time before even turning on the phone.
Once I get my samsung captivate should I do the same or something different?
1. My battery will never fully charge. Stays at 90%
2.pandora sounds messed up. All other music apps soumd fine but the bass is messed up coming through headphones or a stereo.
3. The button on the headphones tha came wih the phone does nothing. Why is it there?
4. No 3d games. I had an iphone with a 400mhz processor that ran games, why did I upgrade to something that can onlybplay games like tetris and bejewled.
5. Sometimes my phone just randomly shuts down for no reason and will reboot to the screen where it shows the android screen.

My Note 2 stopped connecting to charger and PC last week. It eventually died. I have since tried another charged battery from my sisters phone and it still will not turn on. The initial start-up "Galaxy" logo appears, but doesn't go further than that. All functions seemed fine until battery initially drained after day two without charging. The data storage was at it's limit at the time too.
View 3 Replies View Relatedits my fourth day sincei bought my Samsung I7500. fist two days of use were perfect. i suddenly couldn't charge the battery and it turned off. when i came home i've charged it and than next day i was loosing a lot of incoming calls! when someone calls me the phone just rings once and its stops, sometimes its shows as a missed call sometime it doesn't show anything.

My phone is currently "off" and plugged in. if i click the end button the little battery chart shows that it is charging because the meters are still climbing up. does it ever tell you that your battery is full?
I have been searching and just can't find a way to show the amount of current draw/charge on the battery (in milliamp hours). On windows mobile we could see this and in light of the Moment's battery issues it would be a great way to see what is really going on.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI received the update yesterday.I did about 20 speed checks.Browsed on roaming for at least a half hour.Was roaming standby overnight,slept at my girlfriends in the hills.Today did moderate calls of about a half hour.At 29 hours 30 minutes my battery is still 50%.Huge difference so far. Oops, forgot I charged in the car for 30 minutes.But this is still way better than before.

There are two threads of interest over there:Time without signal > 50% - xda-developers Wow battery from 100 to 10 in 3 hours xda-developers.The short of it is that the 3G signals don't stay locked and the phone keeps hunting.If you go under the battery life settings and click on "Cell Standby" there's a field for "Time Without Service".Mine and many others were hover around 50%.This is constantly draining battery even while you do nothing.So the temporary quick fix is to turn on Airplane mode, then turn it right back off.This fixes some incorrect setting.On my phone, Time Without Service dropped from 52% last night to 0% today.And my battery only dropped about 9-10% idling over night.This is MUCH better than the 30% draining overnight I was seeing over the past few days.

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust picked up the Epic yesterday, and already been having issues all day long. The phone has does this about 5 or 6 times today. It will fade away, and when I come back to it a little later to check messages or anything, it will all be blacked out, and nothing will come back. (by hitting the power button) No matter what I push, the screen stays black, and the phone seems like it is off. (A few times, the lights have stayed on, and the buttons act like they are responding, but nothing works still) It has also lost signal completely twice today, and I've had to restart it to get signal back.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI am coming to the conclusion that the poor battery charge time is a result of the batteries and not the phone. The reason I believe this to be true is: I purchased the charger that comes with a spare battery and it takes a good 3-4 hours to charge in that, with no phone attached. Batteries in my previous phones would take an hour to fully charge in a dedicated charger. I bet when Seidio comes out with batteries for this phone, we will see much better charge times and possibly better battery life.

View 20 Replies View RelatedI've had my phone unplugged since 11AM this morning. It's now 8PM. My battery meter shows 1h 30m since unplugged (I think this is the built-in status from the OS). Additionally my battery widget shows 26% but the blue batter in the top corner shows 1/2 full. Are there any good battery meters out there that I can trust? Is anyone else noticing wild inconsistencies in time's and battery meters?

One day it lasts 10 hours the next I get only 5 hours with about the same usage time and its driving me bonkers. If I find the Epic to be more reliable with power management I'm keeping the Epic and changing over. Its all up to the battery now!
