My screen all the sudden would not show any widgets or shortcuts.I think it started happening when sliding open the keyboard and the screens rotating.When i would get out of an app each 3 of the screens was just blank with my wallpaper the only thing there and the the menu slider button.

I have home, home++, and GDE. In all three when I am trying to place a deleted shortcut in it does not even show up. For example in home++ I deleted camera thinking i wouldn't need it. Now i need it for screenshots how do I get that icon back on? Sorry for making a whole thread for this.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWith 0.1 and 0.2 there is a weird problem. Aside from my phone rebooting under load (Navigation running, then taking a call) - the widgets are funked. I don't know what triggers it, but even with a simple reboot or nandroid back up my widgets don't load - just the black box marker. I have fixed permissions, the apps go to internal memory, IDK. Even after a fresh nandroid backup, when I restore it - previously working widgets don't show up (just the place holder). I can only pin this on the DropTheme that I have, but it worked fine with the initial (non BB) Froyo. I am going to try non-themed 0.2.1 - nandroid it - theme it - nandroid it and test both. If it's FUBAR, I am just going to have to go back to non modded Froyo or 2.1.

View 2 Replies View Relatedtoday I put my sd card into my sd card reader to throw some photos on to my computer. After I was done i put the sd card back into my droid and booted it up. After booting I get a notification saying my SD card is blank, so I turn off the phone and pull the battery out. When I grabbed my SD card it burnt my hand "literally" it was that hot... Wtf?!?! I put the SD card back in the reader and the computer doesnt even see the card. Idk if anyone has heard of a similar problem b4 and knows a fix...Thanks in advance! Side Note; I work at a cell phone repair store, so I put the sd card in two other blackberry's and they say "your sd card needs to be formated or it is corrupt". I put other sd cards into my phone and i have no problems.

Just changed to Dolphin HD.When I try to make a bookmark shortcut to the desktop, the bookmarks it shows me are from Browser, not Dolphin. In Dolphin HD, I see all my bookmarks, but they are not choices for screen shortcuts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have seen this buried within a couple of other threads, and thought it was worth starting a new thread on this issue, since I suspect it is getting more common. The issue is immediately when placing or receiving calls the screen goes blank, and locks up. I can not press the bottom on top right to wake it up. The only thing that wakes it up, is to open it to the keyboard. This started yesterday, I called Verizon and was transferred to Technical Support, Technical support tried to blame it on a Battery widget that I installed several days earlier. I told her my sister has had it on her Droid for months with no problems, she said I probably had a bad version. Even though I was not convinced, I removed the widget from my phone to test the fix, but it still died. Then she told me to hard reset, and again I was not convinced, so I took it in to a Verizon store, after 5 minutes the Technician decided to give a me new phone. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I would see the wallpaper and the 3 icons on the bottom of the screen (phone, application drawer, and contacts). It'd lag for a bit before things show up. The buttons on the bottom of the phone will light on and off when pressing the power button. What am i suppose to do in this situation or any other situation where my Droid isnt acting right? Well, i didnt know what to do so i just took out the battery and put it back in. I am not sure if thats the proper way of doing it. I hope my phone will be okay after that. View 1 Replies View Relatedso been rooted for quite some time now, got my droid out of my pocket and its just a blank screen.Tried multiple battery pulls, memory card pulls, boots into recovery, nothing will get it to reboot again. its essentially bricked.I wasn't flashing anything battery was just charged, everythign was fine, 800mhz kernel.Now my question is can I return this phone to the Verizon store and still be under warranty, I've had the phone the day it came out with no problems.I think the screen just went out, I can still move the buttons on the screen even when they don't show, and I can also lock the phone with the lock button. Still will I be okay returning this on warranty with the screen out and rooted?

I learned that while there doesn't seem to be room for the widget, there is room for the "program" for the same app/function.So now I'm wondering, what is the difference between these three?Will one result in more or less battery drain? Is the widget quicker to launch it's program equivalent?Should I avoid placing one type on the home page?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently rooted my Epic 4G following this guide: joeykrim-SDX Permanent Root for Epic (and Verizon Fascinate).I then went ahead and removed some of the "bloatware" applications using this guide here: [GUIDE] How to Remove Pre-Installed Apps for FREE - xda-developers.I did successfully root my phone, and the applications I removed are no longer there, but now the shortcuts that can be placed in the Home (or any section) no longer remain after I shutdown the phone. Widgets and Folders on the other hand do get saved by the phone and remain after a reboot.Is there something that I may have removed that shouldn't have been? and if so is it easy to recover? Would a custom ROM fix this situation? Or is there a program that I can use to restore all the default applications (without un-rooting).

Apex launcher has action shortcuts for this, but they are only 1x1. I cannot use widgets to get these actions... I have to use shortcuts. I have done what I want with 1x1 shortcuts, but they are just too small for my taste. I really want 2x1 shortcuts. I just bought this phone off of CraigsList.When I try to launch the camera, whether using the dedicated camera button on the side of the phone or using the icon on the screen, the display goes blank for one second and then goes back to the Home screen.I called Tmobile, and they just had me do a hard reset which didn't have an effect.
