My phone would be in my pocket, but if I were to take it out and check my mail, the screen would be blank. I would see the wallpaper and the 3 icons on the bottom of the screen (phone, application drawer, and contacts). It'd lag for a bit before things show up. When I say lag, I mean a pretty significant lag.

One thing that's bothering me about SH... I don't use Beautiful Home anymore. In fact, I've removed all beautiful widgets from all my home screens and home screen replacement apps. Yet for some reason I get the weather thing in my status bar as if I had Beautiful Home running. Which means it's somehow being run without being told to. And it only does this with Sweeter Home.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just bought this phone off of CraigsList.When I try to launch the camera, whether using the dedicated camera button on the side of the phone or using the icon on the screen, the display goes blank for one second and then goes back to the Home screen.I called Tmobile, and they just had me do a hard reset which didn't have an effect.
Well, what happened was my screen turned blank. I could not turn off the phone. It was just blank. The buttons on the bottom of the phone will light on and off when pressing the power button. What am i suppose to do in this situation or any other situation where my Droid isnt acting right? Well, i didnt know what to do so i just took out the battery and put it back in. I am not sure if thats the proper way of doing it. I hope my phone will be okay after that. So, whats the right way of going at it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I have had my Evo for about 2 weeks, and all of a sudden when I am in an app, then hit the home button, I am presented with a blank home screen for sometimes up to 15 seconds then all of my widgets and icons appear. It is actually quite annoying now that it is doing this almost every other time I go back to the home screen. It even happens when I hit the back button sometimes to get back to any one of my 5 home screens.Has anyone else had this issue?
View 9 Replies View RelatedOn the Desire home screen I have a clock with what should be the weather info underneath which is the standard home screen.The weather info is blank apart from the name of a nearby village which i believe is where the nearest phone mast is located. (the picture on the box the phone came shows Barcelona with lots of weather info).If I tap on the blank area next to whe name I get the weather screen opening up with the name of the village where the mast is, and the word "current" in brackets next to it and the info is all showing "0" if I update it the message appears "no weather data available".I can chose another location (various pre loaded or choose Manchester UK by searching ) then choosing my desired location which then shows data.When I return to the main desire home screen the village name is back under the clock with no weather info.I guess the HTC is trying to get the weather data for the mast location nearest my phone as a default setting, I dont know how or if I can override this so that I can have my desired location (ie Manchester uk) wether data showing under the clock on the home page permanently.
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo last night I went to change my battery and when the phone booted back up, a lot of programs were not installed anymore and I was getting about 3 other programs that were force closing right away when it came on.I tried to reinstall the apps, but I was still getting some force closes and general funny stuff going on.So I factory reset it and started from scratch again today. I got most of my apps reinstalled and thought it was fine. Then just a little while ago, I noticed that I couldn't browse the Internet or use the market. I rebooted and it was fine.A little while later I went to use my phone to make a call and when I unlocked it, all my home screens were blank! Reboot again and that fixed it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running Launcher Pro and only have one home screen.Earlier my phone was locked and I hit the unlock button and there is no unlock puzzle piece. The capacitive buttons don't work, I can't pull down the menu, but the screen is there.So I reboot.It works fine for a few mins but next time when I unlock all the icons are missing from my home screen except the 5 dock buttons.Capacitive buttons are fine, menus work fine, even the app drawer.I went to task manager and killed Launcher Pro and restarted it and everything was back, but I've never had a lick of trouble with it before and suddenly it starts.The only thing I can think of is that a little while ago I went under preferences and hid several of the apps from my app drawer (many of which are on my home screen) but I wouldn't think that would adversely effect function/stability.I've been running LP for over a week and it's not given me a luck of trouble before this, and then two issues in under an hour? Any ideas?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have seen this buried within a couple of other threads, and thought it was worth starting a new thread on this issue, since I suspect it is getting more common. The issue is immediately when placing or receiving calls the screen goes blank, and locks up. I can not press the bottom on top right to wake it up. The only thing that wakes it up, is to open it to the keyboard. This started yesterday, I called Verizon and was transferred to Technical Support, Technical support tried to blame it on a Battery widget that I installed several days earlier. I told her my sister has had it on her Droid for months with no problems, she said I probably had a bad version. Even though I was not convinced, I removed the widget from my phone to test the fix, but it still died. Then she told me to hard reset, and again I was not convinced, so I took it in to a Verizon store, after 5 minutes the Technician decided to give a me new phone. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI listen to Slacker Radio a lot and I noticed that even though my screen will be locked, the volume rocker on the side of the phone will still be active to change the volume for the music. I'm kinda on the fence about whether I like this or not (sometimes it's annoying to unlock the screen just to change the volume by a notch or two, but I also don't want to change the volume by accident when it's in my pocket), but either way, is it supposed to be like this?

View 13 Replies View RelatedRunning 2.2 from OTA when I take the phone out of a dock (Multimedia or car), the home screen has to rebuild it self. Meaning all the icons are slow to come back. think of it as on a windows machine Explorer dies and you have to do a start/run/explorer to get it back. Only difference i that this is automatic, just slow to get responsive again. Even swipping through the screen is slow at first. Is froyo, google's VISTA?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my Moto Droid since it basically came out last Nov and I have never ever run into a problem with the phone until last night. I had a phone call and after I got off the phone, I noticed my droid reseted itself and it wasn't going back to the home screen. Meaning it would just display the word "Droid" then go right into the droid red eye screen, then right back to the word Droid and just kept repeating itself.
I took the battery out and put it back in, but it kept doing the same thing. I am really not sure what would cause my phone to do this, but the only new change I can think of was that I installed the "TMZ" application to my droid about 3 hours prior to this happening. But the application worked fine and I really hope it wasn't because of that. Is there anything I can do before going to Verizon? I would really hate giving up my phone with all my stuff in it, but I know theres probably not much I can do if I cant even get to the home screen.
This is hard to explain, but all the videos i show for the droid x shows that when you finger scroll through screen left to right and you get that little thing that pops up on the bottom where you can tap the dots to take you to certain home screens.in that same video i see that the phone arrow for apps and contacts icons move out of site while the dots pop up. until you let go then the navigation dots dissapear and the phone arrow for all apps and contacts icons slide back up.The same thing for deleting an app, when i see someone in the droid x video tap and hold and drag down to bottom to delete the phone, contacts and all apps moves out of the way.

View 8 Replies View Relatedso been rooted for quite some time now, got my droid out of my pocket and its just a blank screen.Tried multiple battery pulls, memory card pulls, boots into recovery, nothing will get it to reboot again. its essentially bricked.I wasn't flashing anything battery was just charged, everythign was fine, 800mhz kernel.Now my question is can I return this phone to the Verizon store and still be under warranty, I've had the phone the day it came out with no problems.I think the screen just went out, I can still move the buttons on the screen even when they don't show, and I can also lock the phone with the lock button. Still will I be okay returning this on warranty with the screen out and rooted?

I have last night updated my X10i through SE US to Android 2.1. Following from here I cannot get past the boot screen, it switches on, but stays blank and does not do anything else. I have tried to re-install / repair through SE US (PC Companion does not work in this case) to flash it once again, and also that did not help. It keeps telling me that everything is fine, and I should just switch on my mobile phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is like a default option but i've found thet my X's entire OS goes into landscape mode, including app tray, browser, apps, everything. I haven't downloaded any apps that do this and while its in this mode it wont rotate back to portrait. The only way I could change it back is by rebooting. I haven't found a way to voluntarily recreate this, it just happens, maybe by a certain combination of keys,but I'd like to know how to recreate this. I'm sure its probably really obvious so forgive me for my obliviousness
