How do you delete the widgets/shortcuts on the seven home screens. I accidentally put something on the same home screen twice and want to delete one of them. And how do you order them how you want them to be?
Then, how do I sync my iTunes library to the phone?

When I long press to delete widgets or shortcuts, they open instead of giving me the option to delete. Has any one else seen this? I'm on stock

View 7 Replies View RelatedI know how to remove widgets... you long press on them to move them/delete them. My problem is this: I don't know how to remove regular icons on the Hero. On the Moment, everything was simply long press to remove. On this, long pressing the application icons on my home screen(s) just opens the associated programs. I kind of wanted to move them around, I don't wanna have to delete a scene everytime I want to move one icon around.
In short: How do you move/delete application icons from the home screens? (long pressing doesn't work for me)
Does anyone know how to setup shortcut icons to specific home screens? This includes using any launcher out there. I know you can't do it in TouchWiz, even though if you press on any of the home screen indicators (the dots at the top) you can fast path to that screen. I tried launcher pro - but could not figure it out - that could be user error. The reason I want this, is to keep my home page clean and have a few icons at the bottom to get to certain pages without having to scroll. (examples music, tools, car, shopping).

I've used doubleTwist but it seems to stuck most of the time and it's really slow. I've also tried iTunes Agent but it seems to skip some items, and it doesn't copy sync album art!.
So since I'm a programmer, I wrote a simple app that will do what I need. It's written in C# so it will only work in Windows.
What it does is mirror copying your local music library into your Android device. Actually, it will work with any device, but it was written for Android, so I'll leave it as it is
Requirements:
- Windows Vista / 7 (Sorry xp guys!)
- Microsoft .NET 3.0 Installed (Most likely you have it).

- Download and extract the application
- Place AndroidSync.exe in your Android storage folder (sd card).
- Run whenever lib is needed to be synced.
Notice: It might have some bugs, as I wrote it in just one hour. Please tell me about anything weird you encounter.

I recently rooted my Epic 4G following this guide: joeykrim-SDX Permanent Root for Epic (and Verizon Fascinate).I then went ahead and removed some of the "bloatware" applications using this guide here: [GUIDE] How to Remove Pre-Installed Apps for FREE - xda-developers.I did successfully root my phone, and the applications I removed are no longer there, but now the shortcuts that can be placed in the Home (or any section) no longer remain after I shutdown the phone. Widgets and Folders on the other hand do get saved by the phone and remain after a reboot.Is there something that I may have removed that shouldn't have been? and if so is it easy to recover? Would a custom ROM fix this situation? Or is there a program that I can use to restore all the default applications (without un-rooting).

Well after downloading next Launcher I tried to set up my home screens with the same widgets I had on the stock launcher with no luck. It tells me there is a problem with the widgets tap to reload. what could I do to make my phone go back to how it should be?
So I removed a widget and then went back to put it back on and got the msg there wasn't room. I played around a bit moving and removing items to make room. I learned that while there doesn't seem to be room for the widget, there is room for the "program" for the same app/function.So now I'm wondering, what is the difference between these three?Will one result in more or less battery drain? Is the widget quicker to launch it's program equivalent?Should I avoid placing one type on the home page?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently got a Samsung S4 after being an Apple person. I went straight to Winamp as I use it at home on my PC and love it, and want to keep it consistent. I am able to import my iTunes library into Winamp on my pc without issue. It is when I go to copy it onto my phone that I have problems. I right click on the folder/playlist I want to move across, select Send To -> Devices -> Galaxy S4 and it appears to copy. However, when I check on my phone, the playlist shows as <name>.pla and there is no music in the playlist. Only if I click on Songs in the main menu does it show the songs, but of course all together and in alphabetical order. Is there a step I am missing out on here? I was looking to upgrade to the full version, but at this stage, I'm not willing to go any further unless I can get this resolved.
And trust me, I want to keep using this program; just annoyed that I can't get it to work properly on the phone as it's the best and only player I use on my PC.
In the last hour I have noticed that I can no longer delete app shortcuts from Home Screens. If I click and hold on the icon, after a secon, it opens the app when it use to allow me to drag it into trash... any ideas ?

I sent a text to my sister that said ?and ever since, every time i return to 1 of the home screens from any application, mail, etc, comes up at the bottom of the screen in black, then eventually fades away. What I assume it has something to do with the text i sent, it can't be just a coincidence that it's 4 ? marks too. Never seen anything like it on this phone, had it for about 4 months.

I use Zune instead of iTunes and have all my music organized and whatnot on Zune and do NOT want to have to download iTunes and do it all over again.
