Running Droid 2.1 stock with Dolphin HD.This is a new problem as I never had it before with Dolphin. Just changed to Dolphin HD.When I try to make a bookmark shortcut to the desktop, the bookmarks it shows me are from Browser, not Dolphin. In Dolphin HD, I see all my bookmarks, but they are not choices for screen shortcuts.

When I add a bookmark shortcut to my home screen, sometimes the website's favicon is full size and others there is only a small preview of the favicon on a red flag. (How) can I make it so they are always full size?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSometimes I wish I was Dr Frankenstein and could take the parts I like from all 5 major browsers and put them together into one SUPER-browser.
1. Stock Browser (full-featured but slow)
2. Dolphin HD (medium quick but weird bookmarking scheme)
3. Opera Mini (fast and great bookmarks, but no pinch-to-zoom)
4. Skyfire (all round probably best one, but slower than xscope)
5. xScope (very fast and light but lousy bookmarking and no copy text)
Anyway, I was giving Dolphin HD a shot because I like the way you can drag your bookmarks out from the left side. I actually like to have my bookmarks alphabetized (I know, NUTS, right?), but apparently Dolphin sees no need for this as they don't have any option to sort your bookmarks by any metric other than to drag each one by hand - a rough task if you have 200 bookmarks.
Dolphin does have this "Bookmarks to SD" add-on that will allow you to export your stock browser (universal) bookmarks to an html file, then import them back into Dolphin. Unfortunately, it somehow reverses the order of my A-Z alphabetized universal bookmarks so that they are Z-A in Dolphin.
I have my Dolphin bookmarks set to sync with my Google account. When I tell it to sync, I don't receive any errors. It tells me downloading bookmarks / uploading bookmarks.
However, when I go to my Google bookmarks, I don't see anything. I am going here:

Where should I go on my computer to view the bookmarks I synced with Dolphin?
I have a Evo4G with Sense, and included is this really fantastic widget that displays all of my bookmarks as a full panel on Sense. It scrolls, has more than 6 bookmarks, just great stuff.
Well recently I discovered DolphinHD, and want to commit fully to the browser, however, I lose the functionality of my widget because it points to where the stock browser saves bookmarks.
So my question is this, can I re-point said widget, or is there another widget available on the market with the same functionality (I think the answer is no), or is there someway to use dolphin to manage/save bookmarks in the same location as the stock browser?
I somehow have mutiple copies of a shortcut on my homescreen and can't figure out how to delete one.

I'm on 2.1 and updated to the newest leaked rom yesterday. I still use the standard browser as well as Xscope and I liked the fact I could edit these but I can't seem to find a way to do that on the newest 2.1.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have yet to find a good Bookmark/Favorites widget. I have tried all the ones in the market that I can find and haven't found one with all the features I am looking for in a single app. Anyone know of a good one or working on one?
Basically I am looking for one that can do the following:
-show bookmarks in list form (icons take up a lot of room)
-allow editing of names and tags- AND have the changes take effect in the native browser
-have an entry in the program list (not just a widget or browser integration) so that a shortcut can be placed in a folder instead of just on the home screen
-import/export compatable with Firefox
If you don't know of one, feel free to add to the list of features incase any devs decide to take on the project.
So please please forgive me if this has been asked, or is in conjunction with another thread, but I have a question for you all. Maybe you guys can help. So I know the sense Roms for the droid are around the corner (hopefully), but im not completely sure of what is included in it.
My only desire from the sense ROM would be the bookmark widget that is found on sense phones. Looks like the pic below. I was wondering if there might be apk out there that could be ported over with the fixed resolution for our phone. Or is my phone waiting for the sense ROM. Sorry I'm kinda obsessed with that widget, but not worth it to trade my droid for just that.
My Facebook bookmark on my default browser doesnt load correctly. It loads what was on my page hours ago. Then I hit home and it loads what was on it a minute after that, and again. I have to hit home (Facebook home) about 10 times before it gets up to date. Its pretty annoying.

It's not the biggest deal, but if I could find a way to preserve them for easy restoration when I update, that'd be great.

I don't like having to do two key combos or having to switch to the home screen and/or app screen. With all my previous android phones I've been able to set up desktop shortcuts to each account so they can be checked separately. With the X, I cannot seem to do this. The email shortcut does not allow me to specify an account, and just shows the default account. I'd really like to continue to use my old system of two account shortcuts.

Without the thing turning into a trash can, almost every time I tried to place one there, it would vanish. I literally had to have it 2 pixels under the above row or it wouldn't take. I want to push a bookmark/internet-shortcut to a user's home screen as a result of them clicking on a link-via their browser of choice.
I know they can usually set the bookmark themselves and then choose to put it on their home screen. But I'd like to provide a link like "Put a shortcut to this page on your home screen" that takes care of everything kind of in the background/underneath.
What parts of the framework would I need access to to make it happen?
I cannot figure out how to copy the url of the page I'm viewing. i can share it and copy it that way but no way to just copy it. Anyone know how to do this or if it's not possible?

Long press the homescreen (or setup in Launcher Pro Dock) and select Shortcut, Folder Organizer Item, Direct Call, choose from your contact list. For the Direct Text using Folder Organizer Lite again. I want to know how to use the advanced shortcut option in HelixLauncher2. Basically I would like to have the generic phone icon on my dock but instead of taking me to the Dialer I would like it to take me to my Call Log. I would also like to use the standard Contacts icon on my dock but would like it to always take me to my Favorites Contacts instead of All Contacts. Does anyone know how to set this up in the Advanced Shortcuts in HelixLauncher or know a different way to do it? Also if anyone knows if there is an easy way to use a different Icon for each of those?
