So I tried rooting my alcatel t10 using this method http:[url].... and after choosing normal, and the alcatel turned off, automatically turned back on, showed the logo now it's just a blank screen that's on.

My screen all the sudden would not show any widgets or shortcuts.I think it started happening when sliding open the keyboard and the screens rotating.When i would get out of an app each 3 of the screens was just blank with my wallpaper the only thing there and the the menu slider button.

I was installing some custom ROMs on my brothers OT-955. Everything worked fine, I got CWM on there and installed a ROM called PAC [URL] ......
It worked pretty well, but the phone froze a couple of times a day so I decided to try some others yesterday. When I installed a CM-based ROM, I got a 'status 7' error in CWM and after I rebooted the phone was stuck in a boot loop.
After a while, it showed up when I ran `fastboot devices` and I was able to get it into recovery and install a different ROM. When that ROM had some trouble I ran into the same 'status 7' error with another one.
I miss-clicked and rebooted instead of installing a working ROM. Once again, I was able to reboot to recovery using fastboot and everything worked out.
Fast forward 30 minutes, the last ROM had some trouble too and I decided to move back to stock. CWM reported that stock was installed successfully so I rebooted.
Since then, the phone won't move past the boot screen. Fastboot doesn't recognize it, `adb` used to recognize it as offline until I replugged it.
I already:Reinstalled the device driver
Cycled the power (empty, full)
Tried a different host machine
What to try next.

I succeeded in getting my default wallpaper but my lockscreen wallpaper went blank/empty/black .I can still choose the lockscreen wallpaper from cm settings but How do I fix that?

I have bought Ampe A10 i try to root it. I have run LiveSuit and try more of ***.img files. Everytime it stops at 3%. Well i was a little bit nervous soo i add (probably) not good firmware (it was SANEI_N90_0208(2012-08-27) ->0208.img) And it has upgraded. But now i have a problem. When i turn ON tablet it just flickers 3-4 times i see desktop like this:

Got a U9510, D Quad (unlocked and unbranded outright) (didn't see my phone listed so posting in this section)
Worked great, rooted easily. Installed Chainfire 3D, was all fine. Uninstall as decided I dont need it.
Then stupidly decided to try reinstall and try Beta EGL driver after browsing and finding some EGL level support.
Now the screen is blank, no lights, no boot logo, nothing, and I want to cry. (Though I have not been able to pull the battery)
Plug in via USB still shows up as Android device etc.
I dont know how to pull the battery on this phone, it's not easily accessible, I took the screws out of the back plate and tried to lift up the plate but couldn't see how to do it, so just put the screws back in.
Also it's new, so no SD card yet, internal only.
USB Setting is default to storage device, but internal doesn't show up on that setting, it does on MTP.
What steps to recovery?
Most similar issue I've found is this, but only seems like the same symptoms, not same cause: [URL]....
No mention of EGL, and I had no problems with Chainfire until I tried EGL.
Anyway to uninstall the driver over USB? And how to get the backplate off without damage to pull the battery?
I don't have anything critical on the phone storage I can't replace easily, have flashed roms before etc, but prefer to recover/undo if possible. And again with the storage issue, how would I gain access to the internal storage without the screen on?
edit: The removable disk drive shows up for the SD card (but obviously inaccessible since no microSD in phone), but I'm poor till wednesday night, so cant go out and get a microSD to attempt a fix yet.
HiSuite can't connect to the phone (HiSuite USB mode needs to be turned on OR USB debugging, debugging is) so I presume the phone is not in a fully powered on state running the OS (unable to start graphics driver etc).
edit2: The manual states if I want to change the battery to contact an authorised service provider (!), but can hold the power button for more than 10 seconds to force a restart (but I wonder if that will work in its current state?)
This was reported in the other thread about X8 Issues, but thought to start a new one to gather feedback from users. It's about the ''black screen'' freezing issue encountered by some users. I have had this several times since owning the phone for a few weeks, so it is a recurring issue. Problem: The phone hangs or appears to be shut down or become unresponsive suddenly. Pressing the hardware buttons doesn't help as the phone doesn't react at all. Solution: Take out cover and battery and restart.Observations: From my own observations, it's not actually a shutdown but a major freezing/hanging. Sometimes when it happens, I can still see vague shades of the display at an angle. After leaving the phone for a while in the pocket, the phone comes back to normal again. Not sure if this is true for all users with this problem. Anyway, gathering more feedback to see how prevalent the problem is, to evaluate whether I should take it to the SE service centre, or whether doing so will help at all.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem on my Asus ME301T tablet with the Play Books app (I'm running android 4.2). Regular text based books work just fine, however, comic books show as blank pages. Sometimes it will load a few pages if I rotate the screen a few times.
I've tried to reinstall the app and redownload the comics without luck. It works fine on my Samsung i9000 running android 4.3.
today I put my sd card into my sd card reader to throw some photos on to my computer. After I was done i put the sd card back into my droid and booted it up. After booting I get a notification saying my SD card is blank, so I turn off the phone and pull the battery out. When I grabbed my SD card it burnt my hand "literally" it was that hot... Wtf?!?! I put the SD card back in the reader and the computer doesnt even see the card. Idk if anyone has heard of a similar problem b4 and knows a fix...Thanks in advance! Side Note; I work at a cell phone repair store, so I put the sd card in two other blackberry's and they say "your sd card needs to be formated or it is corrupt". I put other sd cards into my phone and i have no problems.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSome background info: I got an HTC Evo a few days after the initial launch. I had no problems with the screen at first at least for a few weeks. Then all of a sudden, the screen would go blank after I took the phone off the charger, or would finish a call, and a few other instances. After dealing with that for a little over a week, I took the Evo back to sprint and got a brand new one. I looked all over the forums, but could not find any answers. I know some others are having this issue, but it doesn't seem that widespread. So I get the new phone, and for the first day, I don't install any of the apps I had on the last phone because of a lack of time. No problems to report the first day of use, so I think I'm in the clear. The next day I start installing all of the apps I had on the first Evo, and bang, it starts to happen again. The screen goes blank, and I can do nothing to turn it on except to pull the battery out and restart the phone which is a monster pain. After all of this, I have to think its a software issue. Some app I have running could be causing this? How likely is it that 2 Evo's have this exact same problem, and that it's hardware related? Here is a list of apps I have installed on my phone: maui9111's Apps on the phone. I tried uninstalling several of them, but still can't find the solution. Anyone have any ideas? I love this phone, but this issue is driving me nuts!

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have added a couple of soft keys through navigation_bar.xml in SystemUI.apk. The soft keys show great, but are also showing on the lockscreen, when the others "disappear".
The added ones are Menu and Search, the order is Home, Menu, Recent Apps, Back, Search. This is to be the same as my desire hard keys. I know, no point in it, but have just got used to the soft keys so much!
Anyway, here is my coding, I have removed the android:visibilty="invisble" attribute to no ill effects...I have also added the relevant strings and ids in their respective places..

Could it be to do with the ID's? (I know that when I made the center clock, I added the "@id/clock" and it made the clock "disappear" on the lockscreen, where taking it out the clock stayed in the status bar!)...
The thing is that time to time my device does not respond to screen touch. For instance: then there is an incoming call it stays blank and I can not see who is calling and at the same time not able to answer it.
Touching the screen does nothing, only after pushing hard buttons, I am able to terminate the call. Also, when I am trying to access the OS from sleep mode by pressing the power button--there is no home screen--it stays blank. The only thing it does---the lights go on the home, menu, back and search buttons.
I did contact ot HTC help service and they told me to try to use the device in safe mode for two days. (this should terminate all 3rd party applications, that might cause the issue). Its my first day that I am use is in the safe mode and so far I do not experience any problems.
I do suspect that the reason of my problem could be the task killer that I am using in order to eliminator some programs running in background. But I did try out several task killers so far, however the issue remains the same
I have a problem with my magic which is about 4 months old, When i switched the phone on the Vodafone logo and Andrioid logo appear BUT after this the screen goes blank, if you look from a certain angle the screen looks like its on and glowing white.

I had the LCD and touchscreen replaced (don't ask long story) and now I have the following issue: When I make a call and even before I lift the phone to my ear the screen goes blank. None of the buttons work but the call is fine - I can be heard/hear the other person. When the other person ends the call the phone bips to tell me the call is over, but the screen stays blank. I can re-activate the screen by receiving a missed call - ie calling my phone and then hanging up re-activates the screen. In addition, when my phone rings the screen is fine, but as soon as I answer the call and lift the phone to my ear the screen goes off as before. The only other way to bring the screen back is to remove the battery. Whilst the screen is blank I loose all touch-screen capability too. Everything else on the phone works perfectly, sync to email, text, GPS, camera, internet etc all not a problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHad a HTC desire now for a couple of weeks and Ive come across an annoying problem, when I make or recieve a call and raise the phone to my head the screen goes blank which in it's self is fine, but after the call has concluded the screen remains blank and there appears to be know why to get it to leap back into life ive tried moving /jiggling the phone and pressing all the buttons including the power, the only way seems to be to remove the battery and force a reboot. Anyone else experienced this or have any ideas that might help solve it?
View 49 Replies View RelatedSo I have had my Evo for about 2 weeks, and all of a sudden when I am in an app, then hit the home button, I am presented with a blank home screen for sometimes up to 15 seconds then all of my widgets and icons appear. It is actually quite annoying now that it is doing this almost every other time I go back to the home screen. It even happens when I hit the back button sometimes to get back to any one of my 5 home screens.Has anyone else had this issue?

I was messing around with it, and switched the camera to the front one, which has now caused the screen to be blank, just black. None of the buttons function when it's like that, except the home screen. Please let me know if anyone knows anything I can do about it tonight.
