May 8, 2010How do i view attachments to my hotmail from the phone? My friend sent me pics from a fishing trip and I'd like to be able to view them on from the phone.

HTC Incredible :: Can't View Pics And Movies Via Hotmail / Fix It?
May 14, 2010Smartphone noob here, I can't seem to view movies sent to me via Hotmail from my daughter's iPhone. Any idea how to fix this?
Plus, when she sends me pics of my grandson I can't view these either.

Sep 2, 2010I have an Exchange email account set up on my Samsung Captivate. I can open/view attachments that have been sent to me, however I cannot open/view attachments in email messages that I have sent. I can see the attachment, and it's file extension, but when I click on it nothing happens. There is no open or save button like there would be normally. EDIT: I have read the other threads on this forum referring to issues with email attachments and none of them had the solution to my problem.

May 5, 2010Trying to figure out why I can't open file attachments from emails. Received some pdf files and two doc files today. Tried opening files from email with pdf reader program and quickoffice or whatever its called. Neither type of file would open. Tried to download then open files with same problem. Files are definitely .pdf and .doc, just opened and rad them on laptop now. Also confused...is there any way to look at my SD card folders and files through a phone app? Can't figure out how to see anything other then my music and photos.

Aug 6, 2010I own the Vibrant and use gmail. Its the only email synced with the phone.
Ive learned that when you using the Gmail app, it wont let you view attachments that are in a format you cant view. I got an email with a video attached that was recorded on an iphone. Its in the .mov format. It wont let me mess with the attachment in the gmail app but when I got to the website gmail.com, it lets me save that file. When I went to open the file, it said....format not supported.
Is this true? Can the Galaxy S really not view videos shot on an iphone? Is there an app in the market for this? I know I can convert the file when im on a mac or PC but I want to view it on my vibrant.

Jul 19, 2010I just got the Captivate, and I am having difficulty viewing attachments (Low kb excel spreadsheets and word documents). The weird thing is, it let me open one excel sheet once as what looked like an html instead of excel, which is fine as long as I can see it, but this hasn't happened since and it wasn't any particular thing different that I did. What should I do? Is it a bug with my specific phone?

Apr 30, 2010I am having trouble watching wmv attachments that are attached to an email on my Incredible. I've tried from the email, saving to the phone and then trying to watch in a media viewer and I can hear everything fine but not see any video. Is there some setting I don't have set correctly or is this a flash issue that will hopefully be fixed with 10.1 later this year?

I have tried searching around here and it seems the EVO folks are stuck as well. Would Google really stop us from doing something so essential? And I know you can in HTC Mail, but I have notification issues with HTC Mail that I can't deal with (like the notification sound continuing perpetually when a new email arrives).

May 4, 2010Did a search first. Is there any way to name an email attachment? Whenever my wife emails me a picture of our dogs (no kids so these are our kids) it always comes through as "photo" so when I download it saves as that. Now if I don't go back into the picture viewer and rename it the next time i try to save a photo attachment it tries to overwrite the last one as its comes in as "photo". Is there any easier way of renaming these attachment without having to go into picture viewer and renaming the last one first? Basically I'm want to do a "save as"

May 16, 2010Using a droid incredible and sync with exchange. Tried to attach to songs from phone in a new email to myself. The email sat in the outbox and would not deliver. Deleting the email also deleted the files off the file system (or sending an email deletes the file?)

Oct 4, 2010I have a non-rooted 2.2 Inc with the 2.3 version G mail app. Since updating to 2.3, I can no longer preview/download attachments. The app gets stuck on "Fetching Attachment" and eventually force closes. I've sought help from Google but there's no official answer to this issue. Does anyone here have any advice? I've even gone so far as to do a factory reset, but to no avail. Like many of you, the Incredible is my workhorse on the road and I desperately need the ability to open attachments.
