View 5 RepliesI use the backgrounds app, and it lets me save backgrounds to my SD card. I go into Astro/ sdcard/ backgrounds and then click on the picture. It gives me 2 options to open it. "ASTRO Image Viewer" and "View picture". For me to use it as a background I have to pull it up in "View picture", BUT....no matter how many times I try and pull it up that way, it shows me the first picture in my camera album. If I click "ASTRO Image Viewer", I can always see the picture I selected, but under menu, I only have the option to "share" and nothing else. Can you tell me why the selected picture won't show up in "View picture"?

I have Documents to Go full version but the phone won't even download the file.
I have an EVO. My emaiul is synced with the server at work so I use Outlook. When I attach a picture to an email with Outlook Ecxchange Active Sync via our server at work I receive an error. "Delivery to the following recipipients was aborted after 3 seconds. " The settings on my phone allow for the all file sizes. The pic is 1.3MB . I don't see anyting else on the phone that would prevent the attachment from not sending. Please advise if any phone setting I'm missing that are causing the problem.

View 19 Replies View Relatedwhen receiving pictures through gmail (I simply use the gmail app) they don't automatically appear in the email, like it does on my girlfriends Captivate through the gmail app. She didn't do anything special, just set up email and when she receives pics when she opens the email they're just there. Now there is the download and preview button next to the attachments but when I hit those my phone just says "fetching attachment, please wait". I've left my phone for at least 5 minutes and it will just sit on that screen. On one pic I did let it sit for a few minutes, gave up waiting, but noticed the pic later in my dowloaded folder. But this is the only pic it's done that with. So I would a way to get the pics to just show up in my email when I open the email, or not have to wait minutes on end for a pic to maybe get downloaded. I feel like there should be some solution without me having to download some app, since my girl's phone can do it.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen in the messaging app, and in text message conversations I am having many issues. 1st issue: conversations or "threads" as it is put are seperated, which I like this option, but it also makes it an issue. I am unable to forward any messages I receive.
attachments in messages are not accessable, or able to be saved. I can not save photos, video, music, files ect. I can not set any attachments as ringtones, screen savers, backgrounds. And I can not forward any of the information that is included in a text. I have become very frustrated with the Droid, I thought this was a great phone but seems for the pricetag and hype, I am unable to do less with it as simple functions that I had on my previous phone the LG Chocolate. I can not save anything I receive, and I also can not send any of my music files or recordings as an attachment.
I may not have this whole Droid thing figured out, but I dont want it to take me a month to figure it out. And it seems like I am going past my "Worry Free" period of time. I was unable to save many of my items from old phone to Droid, and that was a bother. But the text messaging is my biggest complaint, I liked the ability to save sounds, forwards sounds photos ect. And I can not do this now with the Droid, is there a way to fix this issue?
How do I save and send picture messages?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI own the Vibrant and use gmail. Its the only email synced with the phone.
Ive learned that when you using the Gmail app, it wont let you view attachments that are in a format you cant view. I got an email with a video attached that was recorded on an iphone. Its in the .mov format. It wont let me mess with the attachment in the gmail app but when I got to the website gmail.com, it lets me save that file. When I went to open the file, it said....format not supported.
Is this true? Can the Galaxy S really not view videos shot on an iphone? Is there an app in the market for this? I know I can convert the file when im on a mac or PC but I want to view it on my vibrant.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got the Captivate, and I am having difficulty viewing attachments (Low kb excel spreadsheets and word documents). The weird thing is, it let me open one excel sheet once as what looked like an html instead of excel, which is fine as long as I can see it, but this hasn't happened since and it wasn't any particular thing different that I did. What should I do? Is it a bug with my specific phone?

I've noticed today that sending a picture messages takes a loong time on my Droid--considerably longer than on my old feature phone. Usually, it takes around 3-4 minutes. One picture took around 10 minutes to send. My apartment has bad reception, but when I sent these messages I had 3g and 3 reception bars. Is this normal?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Exchange email account set up on my Samsung Captivate. I can open/view attachments that have been sent to me, however I cannot open/view attachments in email messages that I have sent. I can see the attachment, and it's file extension, but when I click on it nothing happens. There is no open or save button like there would be normally. EDIT: I have read the other threads on this forum referring to issues with email attachments and none of them had the solution to my problem.
