Just wondering is their anyway to view my contacts on my hotmail account I've setup on my Desire? I can't seem to find them. Also with a few other HTC phones you can link up your contacts individually to their facebook. With the Desire I've found it just seems to want to add everyone to my contacts. Is there anyway to individually link them?

I'm signed into FB on my Desire using Friendstream, not the FB program.Every time the phone does an automatic sync, or I do it manually, the FB contacts are unselected from view and I have to add them again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S4 and I synced all my contacts from Facebook with that of my phone. My idiotic sister logged out of my account without my permission, logged into hers and left it like that. Now my facebook account wont sync with my phone contacts again. Everytime i go to my contacts, tap on options and go to 'accounts' and select my facebook from the list of accounts i've added, the 'sync now' button works but when I click on it it says 'sync disabled'.
I went onto my FB app and looked for account sync options but I couldnt find any.
how to set up my Facebook account to only sync with my existing contacts, instead of every Facebook friend I have?
View 1 Replies View Relatedjust got my desire this morning and i don't really know what i'm doing with it, i've never had a smart phone before. i've set up my hotmail account as the email account on the phone but, call me paranoid, i'd rather not have it on there at all. if i delete the account on the phone will it have any detremental effect on the actual email account?

I've been readying have successfully been able to setup their droid phones this way but heard EVO users were having difficulties. I was not able to sync with the hotmail exchange account and wanted to see if any other Evo users have been successful.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have searched around on this and other forums, looking for the answer to a question that has been bugging me since before the weekend.I got the HTC desire on friday (love the phone!) and have got to the point where most of the things are set up how I want. I have used HTC sync to import my contacts from Outlook where they were already set up how I wanted. However I can't seem to be able to import these contacts back up to my Google account though. I have turned on all the sync settings and checked these, but nothing seems to work.I tried creating a dummy contact in my google account and prompted a sync from my phone which pulled this down ok. So this would indicate that the sync seems to work one way, but wont pull my contacts back up the other.I don't really want to re-enter all my contacts into my Google account to get the sync working properly plus I am assuming this will create a duplicate of every contact already on my phone.

I've manually synced them on the phone and refreshed the web page to no avail.I created one much earlier on (maybe even yesterday) and it's there.If I create a new contact on the web it appears almost immediately on the phone.

However, when I open an email from the phone, it would still show as "unread" when I open my Hotmail account from a laptop / computer. Is there a way this can be changed, so that when an email is opened/read on the phone, it would also show as open/read when I open my Hotmail account from a laptop?

View 4 Replies View RelatedHave had a look through other threads, but with no result.I have synced all of my contacts with their relevant Facebook Profiles.Unfortunately, syncing has brought all of their details across - including 'phone numbers' such as 'ask me' etc etc.I've fumbled around the "Edit Contact" screen for quite a while trying to work out how to remove these details from here, but to no avail. It seems I can only edit the details I've entered in myself, and not the details that have been synced from Facebook.I'm aware I can simply remove the link / sync, but I quite like having the contact pictures in there.Anyone know how to remove these 'extra' details but leave it synced?

I only want to sync contacts manually to their facebook account and not some random people (who I only added for networking) to appear in my phone contact list.

I am able to receive my hotmail emails and can send them back but when I look on my laptop it still showed unread messages on both hotmail and outlook even when I have read them on my phone. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have 2 gmail accounts. Unfortunately, one of them is for my calendar and contacts and the other is for my personal e-mail. As of now, my cal and contacts are syncing fine but I do not use the e-mail account that is associated with thier username. I have my other account (personal e-mail) set up sepeartely....along with a few other e-mail accounts(work and etc.). I would like to know if i can leave my cal and contacts setup on the regular droid sync account but change the e-mail account to my personal acct. so it will "push" by default with out having it in a seperate palce on the droid. I know this is confusing but i dont know how else to explian it.

I don't want all of my Facebook "friends" to show up in my contact list on my phone but I would like Facebook data to sync for my actual contacts in my Google contact list. I purchased my samsung epic a week ago and every since I've been getting the message that my facebook contacts is unable to syn at the moment an error of some sort,and too try later.WTH? My facebook calender syncs but not the contacts.I thought that it was th phone so I took it back to the sprint store they restarted my hard drive but it still didn't work,thy sent me to the repair center at another store and the general manager told me to go back and tell them to replace the phone and that I shouldn't be having issues so soon. Well I did that,they gave me a new phone and guess what.yep u guessed it,still the same issue.I went back to the repair center they played with it for 2 straight hours while I waited impatiently and still I walked away with the same problem. I want to use my gmail account from my phone and have all emails sync on my device. But I do not want to sync my gmail contacts with my "local" contacts (local being the contacts stored on my phone). I only want to sync my emails.
I read on another web site that one guy managed to sync his Outlook contacts with his Android phone contacts, but once he started to configure his gmail account, all his local contacts were automatically saved in his gmail account, and vice versa. Is there a way to use gmail with only emails sync, and without contacts sync? I prefer to be sure that it is possible (and know how to do it) before starting to use gmail on the phone. My Outlook contacts contain lots of professional contacts that I do not want to see in my private gmail account.
