I am having trouble watching wmv attachments that are attached to an email on my Incredible. I've tried from the email, saving to the phone and then trying to watch in a media viewer and I can hear everything fine but not see any video. Is there some setting I don't have set correctly or is this a flash issue that will hopefully be fixed with 10.1 later this year?

The new Froyo update has changed the look of the screen when receiving a phone call. It now has their FB status scrolling across the bottom of their picture!! This is EXTREMELY annoying....is there a way to disable that? I just want their contact pic to show...but if I didn't want the pic to show, just their name and number, is there a way to do that??
Lastly, I have contacts that are linked with phone and Facebook...I have adjusted so the pic of the "phone" entry is what shows in "people" and in handcent...but when I receive a call, the FB pic is what shows..
How do I watch TV on my Incredible? Do I have to down load an app? My husband said he has seen alot of people at work watching tv on there phones.I really am only interested if I do not have to pay more in order to watch it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I tried googling and poking through a ton of different forums (this one, nexusone forums, etc.) regarding formatting video to be used on the DInc. The general consensus was to use Handbrake with the iPhone settings to convert video. But that was taking forever. What is weird is that I bought the Sandisk 32GB card, and I put a number of copies of the new season of Dr Who on it (all avi's, unsure what codecs were used for it though). They're all smaller than the native resolution of the phone (something like 366xsomething). But neither Meridian nor DoubleTwist can play them. I wasn't sure if it was card related, so I moved the files off the card onto the phone (which took forever, btw) and it still would freeze up opening the video. So I'm guessing I'm still going to have to convert the files, which is fine - but does anyone know of software better than Meridian to do so?
It's funny, I watched the entirety of Clerks on my LG Voyager (after converting it to 3gp or whatever that weird format was), and doing that seemed simpler than watching videos on my DInc. As an aside, we were watching the iPhone4 vs EVO video on my fiance's MotoDroid, standing outside a VzW store talking it up with an old co-worker of mine from when I used to work there, and the video froze. She shut it off, then turned it back on, and it started power cycling (M loop, whatever you want to call it). I spent 3 hours digging through forums looking for a way to recover her phone without factory reset, couldn't get anything to work, so we factory reset and it continued to power cycle. Totally bricked. Anyone know if this is normal?
We already ordered a replacement phone for her, as it was stock to begin with. Just find it rather weird, especially since it had happened shortly after we installed the latest version of LauncherPro on her phone. I guess the inner-troubleshooter in me is determined to figure out the cause-- especially if LauncherPro and/or YouTube interacted funny, I thought it'd be a really useful thing to give to the developers.
So i have the Droid Incredible.I also have a 16gig class 6 MicroSDHC.I have movies at home. Avi's, mp4, mkv, etc.I created a "videos" folder on the root of my 16gig and place different types of video files there.I know the incredible can't view avi's, but it should be able to view MP4 as is, correct? Mine won't read them. I need to convert them with an app (forgot the name) and convert them to 3gp. They videos always end up so crappy and pixelated.

I get the message: "Unable to save attachment to SD card" after choosing "save". I have previous attachments there, but new ones won't go. Any solutions?

I have tried searching around here and it seems the EVO folks are stuck as well. Would Google really stop us from doing something so essential? And I know you can in HTC Mail, but I have notification issues with HTC Mail that I can't deal with (like the notification sound continuing perpetually when a new email arrives).

Whenever my wife emails me a picture of our dogs (no kids so these are our kids) it always comes through as "photo" so when I download it saves as that. Now if I don't go back into the picture viewer and rename it the next time i try to save a photo attachment it tries to overwrite the last one as its comes in as "photo". Is there any easier way of renaming these attachment without having to go into picture viewer and renaming the last one first? Basically I'm want to do a "save as"

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing a droid incredible and sync with exchange. Tried to attach to songs from phone in a new email to myself. The email sat in the outbox and would not deliver. Deleting the email also deleted the files off the file system (or sending an email deletes the file?)

Any way to get these songs back? I tried reseting the phone but that didn't work.
I have a non-rooted 2.2 Inc with the 2.3 version G mail app. Since updating to 2.3, I can no longer preview/download attachments. The app gets stuck on "Fetching Attachment" and eventually force closes. I've sought help from Google but there's no official answer to this issue. Does anyone here have any advice? I've even gone so far as to do a factory reset, but to no avail. Like many of you, the Incredible is my workhorse on the road and I desperately need the ability to open attachments.

Tried opening files from email with pdf reader program and quickoffice or whatever its called. Neither type of file would open. Tried to download then open files with same problem. Files are definitely .pdf and .doc, just opened and rad them on laptop now. Also confused...is there any way to look at my SD card folders and files through a phone app? Does anyone know the steps I'd need to take to get the video from a DVD onto my phone to watch? I want to watch some stuff on an airplane, and the phone is easier to handle than my laptop. I know how to rip the DVD to an ISO on my PC. I have used Handbrake to convert other videos to be viewable on my phone. What I don't know are the necessary intermediate steps.
