I am looking for a dock/cradle that will work with a hard leather case. I don't want to have to take the case off everytime I go to use the dock. All the docks I have seen seem to be a very tight fit. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Amazon.com has this snazzy looking cradle that also supports the charging of an additional battery (for those of us that bought an extra or an extended life battery ). I am definitely going to be getting myself one of these (especially for the less than $20 asking price!)Anyway, click the link and check it out. I was so excited that I had to share. View 49 Replies View Relatedwhen i turn my phone horizontally the keyboard comes up with no problem, then when i begin to type on it the letters/words do not show up until i turn it back vertically and then i am able to read what i wrote. any ideas why this might be happening...or how to fix it? its a new phone i just got for christmas, and the horizontal keyboard only stopped working a few days ago.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter the OTA and a factory reset my screen dims when I tilt the the phone in camera mode. It's fine when the phone is vertical but when I go to take a horizontal landscape shot it dims the screen to black. It will do the dimming proportionally to the angle the phone is rotated off the vertical axis and front to back (freaky) It will still take the shot but I have no idea how centered I am on the shot. I changed auto dimming to "off " but it still blanks it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my desk cradle app. It somehow magically is now linked to my home button. Everytime I press the home button, my desk cradle app starts. It does it even though I restart and do a battery pull. I do have the desk cradle that I use. Has anyone seen this before, and is there a simple fix for it? thank you.
i have looked everywhere, but i cannot find one that does. i can't stand the added bulk that the 2 piece snap on cases add, and i never use the keyboard any way, so a nice 1 piece silicone or resin cover would be excellent. it would also cut down on the number of times that the keyboard slides open while in my pocket, which happens fairly often. i know i can't be the first one to think of this!

Personally I am not really sure that I need one, but at the same time, a little extra juice is always a welcomed option for a smartphone especially when you are a heavy user.That said, it seems that Seidio has two options available, a 1750mAh and a 3500mAh which are selling for $49.95 and $69.95 respectively.The main difference here, aside from the 3500 offering more juice (and being more expensive) is that the 1750 model was designed to fit with the original battery cover. And that means no extra thickness. The 3500mAh battery on the other hand will add some extra thickness, though its said to only be 3-4mm. The nice part here is that this battery does come with the replacement back cover.

Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?
I love my Eris but i just can't use it anymore and i feel like i will keep having problems if they keep sending me refurbs.
Since the Eris doesn't have a flash is there anyway to take good night/dark photos? All the good "kodak moments" happen at night.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to add my gmail settings to the native mail app and use that for gmail instead of using the gmail app. I dont like how you cant attach a file other than a photo using the gmail app and I like the layout of the native mail app.If you add your gmail account to the native mail app can you still receive push email? I plan on disabling the sync settings for google in the main settings but that shouldn't affect an account added to the main mail app.
View 15 Replies View RelatedHey everybody, I've looked for an answer on here, but to no avail. I tried to root my replacement Eris with 1.5, and HBOOT 1.47. Everything was going well until it got to the point of making a recovery, which for some reason, my phone wouldn't let me do. Infuriated and frustrated, I followed the steps to go back to 1.5 to a tee. However, I miss Vlingo so much, and i went to install the OTA 2.1, and it aborted the installation. I now have HBOOT 1.49.2000, so does my phone basically think I have the 2.1v3 leak, or am I just flat-out screwed? Done multiple factory resets, etc. and they haven't helped either

I will be on the Main home screen and then it will start jumping Home screens as if I'm swiping to the left but I'm NOT swiping! Once it is on the last screen to the left it won't let me switch back to HOME. I can almost never do anything when this happens. I haven't dropped the phone. I've reset the G-Sensor. Has anyone experianced this? I've even done a Wipe of the device.

We have one staff member here that bought a Droid Eris (Verizon) and unlike the Motorola Droid, I can't get this phone setup via Active Sync to our exchange server. I setup his account on my phone (M Droid) and it worked perfectly...messages, contacts and calendar all synced up fine. I go back to his Eris, and it says the account cannot be created at this time. All the settings are the same etc., so I'm a little stumped. I called Verizon and they said to wait for the new 2.0 upgrade that's supposed to be coming, but they weren't sure if that had been addressed or not. Am I missing something, or does the HTC Droid Eris not fully work with Active Sync with MS Exchange 2003?

Do the messages get stored on my card or device? SHould i delete my podcasts that rest on my card?
One of the big things I was looking forward to with 2.1 was full flash support. But, as we should have expected, thats a no go for 1st gen phones. In this article they make mention of the processor architecture being the reason, does this mean that even after root and some hacking it will never work? Or is that just Adobe's excuse?
