Nov 7, 2009Is there a way to only set push e-mail for the Inbox folder? When I set up push e-mail for my Exchange server it wants to download the mail in all of my folders. That is over 2,000 messages.

Feb 2, 2010I have an Exchange calendar sync issue - can't find this problem anywhere.... I have Email, contacts and calendar all set to sync wirelessly (non data cable via HTC Sync). This works flawlessly for email and contacts but recently stopped working for calendar. My phone returns the message "The Exchange Server returned some status errors." Cannot find any status errors with the Exchange server....

Sep 15, 2010We just upgraded to Exchange 2010 at work, and all our other phones work just fine. Evo, iphones, other Droid models, so it's not the server. This one phone is the only one we have that is a Eris and we can't get it to sync contacts. I have tried to clear the calendar storage, nothing, redid the account, nothing. It gets email and contacts just not the calendar and has the ! next to the sync circle. If anyone can please tell me how to resolve this it would be great. Been searching for 2 days trying to figure it out.

Jun 2, 2010Ever since 2.1 OTA I can't get my sync settings to stick.I want it to push items as they arrive. I check that box, but when I exit out, it goes back to manual. I've tried changing this in the email settings and in the main sync settings.This is driving me crazy- I keep missing my work emails!Also- I have never figured out how to get my vibrating notifications back after the OTA. If my ringer is on vibrate, the only notification I have that an item arrived is my LED.Finally- has anyone found the fix to the multiple notification email bug? I still get 3-4 notifications for one email when my ringer is on ring.

Apr 8, 2010I'm looking to root my Eris with 2.1 tonight but I have a couple questions that I haven't found a definitive answer for. Hopefully someone can answer them for me.
1. Does Exchange mail work with any of these 2.1 ROMs? I think I remember reading that it wasn't working with some of them. This is pretty much a deal breaker for me, so if it doesn't work, I will probably wait.
2. Does the HTC Music player work with these 2.1 ROMs? If not, is there at least a music player that can still be used on the lock screen? I like that I don't have to swipe on the lock screen to navigate to the next track.
3. Will Live Wallpapers ever be usable with Sense or is there some inherent incompatibility? Are they not available on the official 2.1 with Sense enabled?

Jul 25, 2010So the Verizon-based ROMs don't support my Exchange Server's policies while the Hero-based ROMs do. This would be all fine and dandy if not for the realization that I haven't found a Hero-based ROM that I like. It would be great if there was a way to take the Hero mail app and add it to one of my favorite ROMs like xtrROM or Aloysius.

Sep 21, 2010I have flashed to KaosFroyo 2.2 v35.1. Everything is fine and the best thing of all is the amazing Power Control widget with all the customization of the widget. But!: I have Exchange 2003 Outlook recurring events created in Outlook. If I use the phone's calendar to delete today's event only from a weekly-recurring event ("Delete this event only"), it doesn't sync with Outlook. In other words, after a sync and check Outlook, I still see the event I deleted using the phone calendar. The other way around, it works fine (if I delete an event in Outlook, it updates on my phone to where I don't see it). Any tips/ideas?

Nov 30, 2009I want to add my gmail settings to the native mail app and use that for gmail instead of using the gmail app. I dont like how you cant attach a file other than a photo using the gmail app and I like the layout of the native mail app.If you add your gmail account to the native mail app can you still receive push email? I plan on disabling the sync settings for google in the main settings but that shouldn't affect an account added to the main mail app.

Jan 28, 2010for some reason i can't seem to set up my personal yahoo email account. i keep getting an error saying i'm not authenticated? i just logged in with this pc and didn't have any problems. i was trying to set it up using the mail widget google /gmail worked just fine with their widget are they trying to just force me to use gmail only anyone have any similar problems and/or tips to get it set up. i would like to move to one email account but you know how it is, you get on, you get another, people have the old address guess i could forward yahoo to gmail.

Feb 16, 2010I've searched the forums and looked at the Sticky above, but it doesn't seem to answer the question. We have one staff member here that bought a Droid Eris (Verizon) and unlike the Motorola Droid, I can't get this phone setup via Active Sync to our exchange server. I setup his account on my phone (M Droid) and it worked perfectly...messages, contacts and calendar all synced up fine. I go back to his Eris, and it says the account cannot be created at this time. All the settings are the same etc., so I'm a little stumped. I called Verizon and they said to wait for the new 2.0 upgrade that's supposed to be coming, but they weren't sure if that had been addressed or not. Am I missing something, or does the HTC Droid Eris not fully work with Active Sync with MS Exchange 2003?

Jan 1, 2010Has anyone been able to sync their Eris in Vista? I have yet to get HTC Sync to even see my phone. The only way I know that I can even see it is by doing a USB mount to copy files over to the MicroSD. I did some Googling and it looks like others are having the same problem. Just wondering if anyone found a work around. I have yet to try it on one of my XP machines.

Jul 31, 2010I am not sure if there is a hidden setting somewhere that has been reset or this is a flaw with Evil Eris, but whenever it synches with Exchange 2003 it only downloads 100 emails and stops and says 100/179 and is not showing any emails from the past three days.
Also, a few days ago, it got a synch error and said it was out of disk space and I checked my SD card and saw it was very low so I deleted a bunch of MP3s and freed up 6.5 gigs of space but it still doesn't work.
Are the emails actually saved on the SD card or on the phone? When I have the USB plugged in can I browse to their location?
My send/receive setting are:
Mail size: Entire mail
Download frequency: Every 5 mins
Download past mail: 14 days
Include file attachment: Smaller than 2MB
Reply with original text: Checked
Always BCC me: Unchecked
This is my work email and it's critical that it operates properly when I am on call.

Dec 7, 2009has anyone found that their Eris calendar has some apponitments off by one hour from their corporate exchange/outlook calendars? I have the correct timezone on the phone. Many appointments are accurate but some are off by an hour on the same day that many are correct.

1. Corporate directory: Is it possible to see phone numbers now in addition to emails? Is it still 10 menus deep?
2. Is there autosync and notifications for email subfolders?
3. Out of Office reply options?
4. Can you sync tasks?
5. Does the calendar have a week view?
6. Notifications on 1.5 only show a "new email" message, does 2.1 show sender/subject info in the notification (like gmail and txts do)?Also, is TouchDown available on the 2.1 market, or is it protected?

Jun 5, 2010I previous had email working fine on my Droid Eris with the 2.1 OTA. However today after updating my password, the Exchange ActiveSync account will not work on my phone. It gets past the authentication phase, however it seems to have issues saving the account on my phone.After some research, I have found documented cases of simlar issues on other hardware but not the Eris. Is anyone else having this issue, and what changed? Ive had it working on 2.1 OTA, but it will not work now.In my research I came across the following site, is it legit? It seems kind of sketchy, and I dont have the knowledge to determine if it is harmful or not.

May 16, 2010I've been watching this forum for the past two months since I got my Eris. Well this morning I installed the OTA update to 2.1. Since then I cannot sync my SBS03 Exchange email. The strange thing is that the contacts and calendar will eventually sync (after a few hours). I spent the better part of today talking to Verizon and HTC tech support people who have no ideas what to do. I rebooted my server and still have the problem.
First thing I did was do a hard reset on the phone and the problem did not go away.

Dec 15, 2009I logged in to my gmail and needed to send email and it wouldn't suggest contacts anymore. I went into contacts and all of them gone except the ones that only had email field filled in. The groups that i created are there but no contacts.
I went into my phone and google contacts are there but they won't sync, errors out with "sync is temporary down".
All this creates another problem for me, I have phone contacts and google contacts in my Eris. Phone contact are synced to PC and all is good but I need my google contact in my gmail so I can email people and I have no way of putting them back to gmail and don't even know how to back them up.

Feb 26, 2010Did a search but couldn't find anything on this. I don't have a single song on my Eris. And probably only about 20 pics. Very vew apps. Which tells me this is all based on my email file. I sync'd up both the Sent Items and the Deleted Items about a week ago and I'm betting that stuff has filled up my card. If there a way to clear those two buckets? I really don't need Deleted and Sent on my phone. Didn't realize it would take so much room on the card. Anybody have any ideas?
