I am looking for a dock/cradle that will work with a hard leather case. I don't want to have to take the case off everytime I go to use the dock. All the docks I have seen seem to be a very tight fit. Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Amazon.com has this snazzy looking cradle that also supports the charging of an additional battery (for those of us that bought an extra or an extended life battery ). I am definitely going to be getting myself one of these (especially for the less than $20 asking price!)Anyway, click the link and check it out. I was so excited that I had to share. Im trying to find an app or program that is just like the screen when the moto droid is plugged into the multimedia dock (you know, the screen with the time, date, music and weather). Ive already tried a program called DockRunner, but it FCs every time.

I have the phone in the cradle, in the back of the cradle they have a battery, and then the cord is plugged into a wall adaptor (the ones shown on ebay) that is holding a spare battery.It took awfully long to charge and not end up fully charged.I know the Innodock Jr from Seidio which I had would have been fully charged, hours earlier..when I asked which one of two cradles to get, it was pointed out that any cradles advertised to do the same things, i.e. case compatible and dual purpose, will be the same quality, just get the cheaper one.
Or could it be due to the device dividing power up three ways (excuse my lack of Electrical knowledge) charging the wall charger, the battery back of the cradle, and the phone itself?
I just received my 2 dual charging cradle dock and the battery charges in the back slot but the front phone doesn't charge or sync. What does it mean "appendant switching adapter"? Is there something I don't know here? Both don't sync or charge the phone while its sitting in cradle.

I've seen plenty on eBay and random accessory sites, but most of them are very square/blocky and very unattractive. I've also heard that the MyTouch 3G dock works, but doesn't fit perfectly so I'd like to stay away from that.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been looking everywhere for a compatible dock/cradle for the HTC Sprint Hero that has the ability to charge the phone while also including external speakers for music playback while at work and/or home. Something similar to one of the ipod style speaker docks would be phenomenal. I even thought of buying of those styles and then getting an ipod to mini usb adapter for the Hero to plug into. I just don't know if it would work properly. It sounds like a good idea. Has anyone else found an alternative or tried something similar to this?

View 17 Replies View RelatedI've just recently cast by Blackberry Storm aside for a Droid ErisSo far, the only thing I'm really missing is that my Storm had a BEAUTIFUL charging dock (cradle). It hasn't been easy to find one for the Eris, though I did order one from eBay. What I'll really miss, though, was that the Storm automatically converted into a full-screen clock when plugged in. While I did figure out how to keep the home screen lit while charging, it's not quite as effective bedside clock as the storm was. The similar feature (weather station/clock) on the Moto Droid was the ONLY thing pulling me to that device instead, but I hold out hope that an app will be developed to add the function I'm looking for.

I have an issue with my desk cradle app. It somehow magically is now linked to my home button. Everytime I press the home button, my desk cradle app starts. It does it even though I restart and do a battery pull. I do have the desk cradle that I use. Has anyone seen this before, and is there a simple fix for it? thank you.

Personally I am not really sure that I need one, but at the same time, a little extra juice is always a welcomed option for a smartphone especially when you are a heavy user.That said, it seems that Seidio has two options available, a 1750mAh and a 3500mAh which are selling for $49.95 and $69.95 respectively.The main difference here, aside from the 3500 offering more juice (and being more expensive) is that the 1750 model was designed to fit with the original battery cover. And that means no extra thickness. The 3500mAh battery on the other hand will add some extra thickness, though its said to only be 3-4mm. The nice part here is that this battery does come with the replacement back cover.

Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?
I love my Eris but i just can't use it anymore and i feel like i will keep having problems if they keep sending me refurbs.
Since the Eris doesn't have a flash is there anyway to take good night/dark photos? All the good "kodak moments" happen at night.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI want to add my gmail settings to the native mail app and use that for gmail instead of using the gmail app. I dont like how you cant attach a file other than a photo using the gmail app and I like the layout of the native mail app.If you add your gmail account to the native mail app can you still receive push email? I plan on disabling the sync settings for google in the main settings but that shouldn't affect an account added to the main mail app.
View 15 Replies View RelatedHey everybody, I've looked for an answer on here, but to no avail. I tried to root my replacement Eris with 1.5, and HBOOT 1.47. Everything was going well until it got to the point of making a recovery, which for some reason, my phone wouldn't let me do. Infuriated and frustrated, I followed the steps to go back to 1.5 to a tee. However, I miss Vlingo so much, and i went to install the OTA 2.1, and it aborted the installation. I now have HBOOT 1.49.2000, so does my phone basically think I have the 2.1v3 leak, or am I just flat-out screwed? Done multiple factory resets, etc. and they haven't helped either

I will be on the Main home screen and then it will start jumping Home screens as if I'm swiping to the left but I'm NOT swiping! Once it is on the last screen to the left it won't let me switch back to HOME. I can almost never do anything when this happens. I haven't dropped the phone. I've reset the G-Sensor. Has anyone experianced this? I've even done a Wipe of the device.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've searched the forums and looked at the Sticky above, but it doesn't seem to answer the question. We have one staff member here that bought a Droid Eris (Verizon) and unlike the Motorola Droid, I can't get this phone setup via Active Sync to our exchange server. I setup his account on my phone (M Droid) and it worked perfectly...messages, contacts and calendar all synced up fine. I go back to his Eris, and it says the account cannot be created at this time. All the settings are the same etc., so I'm a little stumped. I called Verizon and they said to wait for the new 2.0 upgrade that's supposed to be coming, but they weren't sure if that had been addressed or not. Am I missing something, or does the HTC Droid Eris not fully work with Active Sync with MS Exchange 2003?
