HTC Desire :: Way To Stop Message Tone Playing Whilst On Phone?
Oct 9, 2010Whenever I receive a text message while on an active call, it plays the message tone at full volume - making it rather hard to hear the other person! Granted, this only happens occasionally ... but when it does it can be quite annoying. I've searched other threads and had a (what I consider to be ) a thorough look through the phones' settings, but I can't seem to find a way to stop it. Is this just an omission on the developers behalf? Or is there something I could change?

Oct 21, 2010I could use a little help. I carry my EVO in my pocket, and am constantly answering calls that I do not know are incoming. It seems the phone is rubbing against my leg and answering the call. Obviously locking the phone does not help, since you can answer a call without unlocking the phone. Anyone know an app, or alternative solution to keep this from happening?

Oct 29, 2010I have a simple car cradle that I use to view GPS whilst driving. Unfortunately after few mins of driving, the three keys at the bottom lock up - touch screen and power buttons still respond but I cannot menu/home/undo with any of the three keys. If I take the X10 out of the cradle - tilt it back to the level then the keys work again!
Could this be to do with the accelerometer sensing the car vibration in this mode and some 'shake' event in the configuration locking the keys??? If so is there some setting that allows to not lock the keys?

i got b-folder... but you can only lock stuff you created using b-folder in it..
i can't for example put a music folder or video folder or excel file in it to prevent unauthorised viewing and stuff.
HTC Desire :: Last Number Dialed When Phone In Pocket
Jul 28, 2010Well it's 1am, I've taken my phone from my pocket and found that the screen is on and it's two minutes into a call to a friend of mine who called me earlier in the evening! This seems to happen regularly. The calls are always to the person who last called me. I think it happens when I've been playing with the phone and put it back in my pocket having forgot to turn the screen off first. Does anyone have any solutions before my friends start blocking my number?

Also, this morning I put google maps on to track my route but my screen kept locking. I know keeping it on will kill the battery but I'll be charging it at work via my laptop most days anyway.

So first time what I did was make a factory reset and everything was back to normal,and that was beforo Froyo, now when I am running Froyo, I wonder when I make a factory reset does it turns me all the way back to the stock desire, without new software version and Froyo update? I have bought Desire on contract so I have everything official, no unbranded or rooted phone.

Sep 5, 2010When I try to adjust the volume (ringer/media/navigation) I press the button and sometimes it's okay but mostly nothing will happen for up to 5 seconds and then all of the sudden it'll catch up and shoot right to the end. If I press it repeatedly instead of holding on, it normally takes a few presses before the first adjustment then it'll work pretty much okay but it might do a few moves then stop again randomly. The most annoying time is when I'm on the phone and I can't hear what's being said! I do not want to install a volume control app.

Jul 27, 2010Whilst listening to music via the headphone socket to my stereo i got a call but the music went quiet for a couple of seconds then carried on playing when id finished what i was doing i looked and id missed a call.
Is there a setting that will ring for a call and also alert you of a text when listening to music at all ? (stock music player btw).

Jul 7, 2010My EVO has been answering phone calls in my pocket. I've even "butt dialed" a couple of people when I forgot to turn of the screen before sticking it in the pocket.
If I forget to turn off the screen, that's my fault, but the screen turns itself on when the phone rings.
How the heck is a capacitive screen working through fabric, anyway?

Jul 28, 2010I have already done a factory reset once before because the phones ringer stopped working. The "FVE" said it was something I downloaded from the market and basically made me reset. It really is not a big deal to do a reset since all the contacts can get synced to your google account. I just don't want to have to keep doing this fix.

Sep 30, 2009Had a few days of use without issues, go to make a call yesterday and it takes ages to connect, but instead of connecting I get a beep and then it returns me to my contact list. Tried putting the phone in and out of flight mode by holding down the power button and selecting the flight mode option, the option turns grey after I press it, won't allow me to press it again and seemingly does nothing. Press the off option and turn the phone back on and it's fine. Now I reckon I had suffered this with earlier firmwares.

Then the touch was not working. I tried taking out battery and putting it back on. Tried factory reset after backing up data with Kies. Tried rooting the simplest way. Tried to flash using Odin with a recovery and pit file. Still nothing is working.
