When I receive an email on my desire as soon as I receive it on my laptop it disappears from the phone. By internet is my isp and I am on Orange with my phone. Can anyone tell me how to stop them being removed from the phone.

Why is it that sometimes when I receive emails I get two notifications for one email?? They are different formats of notifications though. Both from Gmail just different looking screens. I usually get the outlined envelope in my notification bar but sometimes will get that and also the solid white envelope. Both are the same email just two different notifications. Doesn't happen all the time.

The problem is all old emails are continuously coming back to the device! she has deleted them both from the phone also from a regular pc and they come back still....I looked into the app called (k9) however it doesn't look like it supports smtp only Imap and pop3.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Desire was crashing, so I requested a replacement with O2 business. I upgraded to 2.2 last week using the software update link on the phone. Today I received my 'new' handset from O2 which still has 2.1-update1 as the firmware version. When I tried to upgrade I was informed there is no newer version. Spoke to O2 business, who told me that HTC had withdrawn it again. I'm kinda pleased that my 2.2 desire has been sent back, if there are serious enough issues with Froyo for it to be withdrawn. I did like a couple of things extra in the menu structures, but is it really that important?

I was wondering if anyone knows how to stop the Desire/android from automatically connecting to specific wifi networks. I have a wifi network at home which I want the phone to always connect to when in range. I also have a wifi network at work, that I only want to connect to from time to time to update the calendar and download emails. Currently I have to turn off wifi when at work until I need it, but I've had this working before. I'm on my second Desire as the Orange 2.2 update fubar'd the first , my first phone would always ask me if I wanted to connect to the works wifi, the new one just connects straight away, and it will only be a matter of time before my twitter app gets me into trouble.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have removed some apps but there is still some of the files on the sd card.should i either delete the files with the pc or download the apps again then clear the app cache before removeing again? will just deleteing the files with my pc when it hooks up to the htc cause any problems or fail to remove hidden files elswhere for the apps? also could somebody list what the default files would be from a new phone and what the file names mean/corespond to please so i dont delete important files.

Granted, this only happens occasionally ... but when it does it can be quite annoying. I've searched other threads and had a (what I consider to be ) a thorough look through the phones' settings, but I can't seem to find a way to stop it. Is this just an omission on the developers behalf? Or is there something I could change?

View 4 Replies View RelatedUnder Accounts and Sync (in Settings), Stocks and Weather seem to nestle permanently - I can't see a way of getting them out of there. I don't use the Stocks app at all and have turned autosync off on it. Is there a way to get if off the Accounts and Sync screen?

Adding why I want it to go: each time I go to the Accounts and Sync screen, the Stocks app ends up getting restarted! Even if I force close it from "Managing Apps", it shows up again as running when I go to the Accounts and Sync screen.
Printing limitations. I can print photos using the HP iPrint App, but is there an easy way to print emails and text messages?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the phone for about 2 weeks now, with 3-4 hours daily use. In the middle of a call this morning, it went silent and when turned on again, it displayed "SIM card removed. Reboot phone". I took the card out and put back in 3 times, but it still happens. Wi-Fi is working, phone is still running apps. I tried to press the SIM card tightly while trying to connect, but it's no good. A quick Google search does not show many people with this problem. Anyone has a quick solution before I call ATT or Samsung?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just updated my phone to 2.1. What happened, was this: reboot, then the yellow bar was filling itself. So far so good. After the yellow bar was filled 100%, it took a while, and after that the box icon changed into a white triangle with a yellow exclamation mark. The yellow progress bar disappeared. I waited 10-15 minutes, display didn't change. After that I removed the battery, waited a while, plugged it back in. Pressed power button, and the result was "HERO" nothing more. Waited a long time. Nothing happened. So now I have a broken phone, with nothing working. Does someone have any clues on how to fix this?
