For anyone who has received the incredible have you had any problems with pocket dialing? My Eris does it all the time and its really annoying. Also when you hit end call on the eris sometimes it would redial which also was a pain. Anyone have an issues with either of these?

For some reason my droid likes to power on in my pocket (I think its the screen sliding open/closed causing this). As I use the unlock pattern, it seems the emergency dial function is too prominent on the screen and almost every time I'll hear my phone using the emergency dialer when the phone presses against my leg while walking.Does anyone know if there's a planned fix or already released fix that can make the emergency dialer also a 'slide to activate' like answering a phone call or possibly reduce the emergency dial button in size considerably? As I've pretty much given up on Motorola providing much in the way of Droid updates at this point, esp since they appear to be ditching android slowly I'd be willing to root for this functionality.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had my Incredible for a month now and feel it is the best phone I've had. I'm coming from a Palm Treo 755P which I thought was good, but now looks like a brick. This morning I tried to make an international call from the Inc. and received a message from VW that the number was not in service or had been changed. My contacts list has a prefix of '+' in front of international numbers. he Palm recognized that and substituted a 011 instead. When I changed the number in the Inc. and added the 011, the call went through with no problem. I have tried international calls with Assisted Dialing on and off, and there is no difference. Is there a special way that international numbers need to be stored on the Inc. for the '+' to be recognized?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI need a way to turn off the fact that if I tough a contact once incorrectly it calls them. It's really annoying for me and i end up calling friends when I don't want to, then the phone turns black when it's calling someone for protection and I can't hang up right away. I can't believe this isn't a setting to turn off somewhere. Anything would work I guess, even if it's just an app that asks you to confirm if you want to make a call.
Anyone else heard of a fix to this? I would be forever in your debt..
Have the Android 2.2 update, but voice dialing using my bluetooth headset is not working. Following what is not working:
1. Turned on Bluetooth
2. Turned on my Bluetooth headset - got the headset connected message.
3. Pushed the button on my bluetooth headset and said: "Call _______ at home."
Nothing happens. How do I fix?I used the update.zip file linked at Android Central to manually update to Android 2.2.
Does anyone know of a setting or app that will prevent one-touch dialing? Many times when scrolling through a contact list i have accidentally tapped a contact and the phone immediately starts dialing.
Ideally I'd like to have the phone not dial until i hit "send" confirming that i do indeed want to place a call. Any way to do this?
The haptic feedback only occurs when I am dialing phone numbers, I recently installed swype but I disabled the haptic feedback setting for it as well. Any ideas?

Coming from a "dumb" flip phone, its way too easy for me to accidentally dial a number while messing around with my contact list and call history.
I will be swiping down the list, and it will dial a number if my finger rests too long on a contact.
Is there a way to require that I hit the "call" button before dialing anybody's number?
When I get a call, email, text message..etc.. my phone will make a noise once.. and then the LED will flash green. HOWEVER.. if I don't notice it.. it seems after a few minutes the LED stop blinking green. I often leave my phone on my night stand.. step out of the room for awhile.. come back.. look at the phone and the LED is not blinking.. but when I wake up the phone I show a missed call, new email, new text, etc. Is this how it is supposed to work? should the green LED keep flashing until I check the phone?

However, when I receive a notification while I'm doing something else, or heck even if I receive it while just looking at my phone, I want to be able to hit a button and make the noise stop! I realize I have an email, text, whatever, so now I want the .mp3/sound to stop and not continue to play the duration of the clip!

The next day when i unplug my headset, the music starts playing on the speaker! I had the exact issue on my blackberry, and never investigated it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had a timer set and it beeps when its done. if you have the timer page open, a popup comes up that says dismiss. however, if you aren't on the timerpage and you are doing something else when it goes off, it will just keep beeping and there is no button to shut it off!!!! are you kidding me? this is the worst glitch i have found on this phone.
