My girlfriends 10 year old loves my new Desire and I'm happy for her to play games and generally mess around on it, but there are things i don't want her to see in my messages and e-mails. No matter how many times I tell her to stay out it seems she just can't help herself. Is there any way (or what is the best way) to lock the messages so that she can't see the things I don't want her to?

i got b-folder... but you can only lock stuff you created using b-folder in it..
i can't for example put a music folder or video folder or excel file in it to prevent unauthorised viewing and stuff.

View 7 Replies View RelatedDid a quick search and found nothing. Out of the blue last week, the vibrate notification for both emails and texts has stopped working. It is still working in vibrate mode for calls though. I use Profiles app and have changed nothing on it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my phone up in the settings for both email and for text messages to give me a vibrate alert on any text or emails. All I get is the audible ring and no vibration. It is the same on incoming calls. The vibrate works if I turn the ringer off and go to vibrate mode, but it won't work with the ringer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I put my phone in silent mode (so it just vibrates) I do not notice it vibrating for my instant message which is set to Yahoo IM. I notice it vibrating for calls, and text messages, and even emails, but not for yahoo IM. I have instant message set to go in the notification bar so it should, but i never notice it happening. Anyone have any ideas or do they know if it works on their phone?

1. Regarding font size. I realize there is no current setting for font size on this phone (that I know of) does anyone here know if the upcoming 2.1 update will include that?
2. I know there is a text size option for the browser. However, it doesent seem to work on most websites I go to (like CNN for example) I try setting it at different sizes and nada. So far my browsing experience hasent been that good because of this (having to constantly strain my eyes looking at website text) Any tips on why the text size option doesent seem to work?
3. is there anyway to increase the text size of emails and text messages?
is there a way to delete threaded messages, similar to if you wanted to delete emails? like if i have 20 text threads, and only wanna delete 10.. but do all 10 at the same time..

Tried looking around and unless I'm missing something (I am particularly good at missing the obvious!) there doesn't seem to be anything that does just that. View 2 Replies View Related(HTC Desire running Froyo, not been rooted/molested).I have the stock email app set up to send/receive email through my BT email account.This all works fine with one exception.If I am sent an email which contains an image, I just receive the text no image at all (not even any sign that an image should be there). If the image is sent as an attachment then it is fine, it is only a problem when the image is in the body of the email.I have checked through settings and have set mail size limit to 'No Limit'.Can't see any other relevant settings.I found an old thread about this when I searched and it suggested that this was a known issue and may be corrected in 2.2. However, I am running 2.2 already.This is especially annoying as my cousin has been sending emails containing photos from her iphone and finds it quite amusing that my HTC cannot even display them

I simply cannot forward attachments on emails
Situation
Mr Jones sends me email + word document + pic, i need to forward email to Mrs Smith.
The email forwards but when Mrs Smith gets the email its part of an unknown folder that you cant access the attacements with.
Ive downloaded the attachements properly but that hasnt worked.
If it makes any difference this is with Microsoft Exchange server.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHe's set up his gmail and work mail on the phone just fine, but his hotmail is playing silly buggers. The gmail is through that app, the work and hotmail through the desire mail app.
Anyway - he cannot get any hotmail emails into the inbox. When you first set up the account, he gets two 'welcome' mails - the kind you get when you set up the mail account online, welcoming you to your inbox. No other emails ever come through.
However - he can send from it. And it appears in his outbox online.
I looked in the syncing sections and under the exchange active sync - which works for his work - there is no hotmail. Except somehow it must sync somehow as it's sending his hotmail fine...
I was wondering how I can get Greek and German keyboard support so I can send emails and SMS in these languages.

I have just noticed that I an now looking emails when I read them in the mail app (not gmail but the HTC mail). I have my mail set up to the pop on my googlemail account. I can go into mail and see my new mail, but if I then refresh all the mail will disappear. I upgrade to Froyo last night and prior to that all was well. I have not changed any settings on mail or my googlemail account.

When i set it up initially the outgoing server was an ntl one which was suprising as i've always had to use o2 on other phones but it worked a treat on my ntl. but now its only sending mails if i am on home wifi connection not on the 02 network.
