Sprint HTC Hero :: Hero On Sprint 2.1 & OTA Doesn't Ring On Incoming Phone Calls
Jul 5, 2010I have read a couple of threads that touched on this ring issue, but was unable to find any that had a solution or work around.Since the 2.1 update and the OTA update, many times when an incoming call comes, the phone doesn't ring. If I happen to be in front of the phone, I can see the screen change showing an incoming call.If I am listening to Pandora Radio, when the phone rings, Pandora stops, but the phone never rings.If I am not near or looking at the phone this results in missing the call.If I shut off the phone and re-boot it appears to ring fine, but at some point later in the day or week it will quit ringing.I normally never turn off the phone. Should I start to re-boot every day?

Sometimes, when I receive calls, the phone will ring 2 or three times before going to voicemail - it is almost like I am rejecting the calls, which I know I'm not, as it tends to happen when I'm not even touching the phone.

Sep 7, 2009its my fourth day sincei bought my Samsung I7500. fist two days of use were perfect. i suddenly couldn't charge the battery and it turned off. when i came home i've charged it and than next day i was loosing a lot of incoming calls! when someone calls me the phone just rings once and its stops, sometimes its shows as a missed call sometime it doesn't show anything.
can please anyone try to help me weather this is a hardware or software problem. i'm trying to update the phone through the NewPC but i definitely can't connect the phone and update it maybe i'm missing something...........

my question is if there is a way to see the total time of my incoming and outgoing calls?
in the call log i can see the duration of each call but there seems not to be any way to see the total time for all ofmy calls...
any ideas - apps that i have not found or thought?

I was fumbling to mute the tone before it woke up the whole house. But I could not find any option. I get the voice mail if they leave one but no signs of then calling besides that. I love my captivate but I have trouble sending and receiving pic messages too. Sep 21, 2010When I first got my Vibrant a week after launch date, I noticed most people would tell me they had been calling me but I never received the call. Sometimes they said it would go straight to voicemail, sometimes it would ring and ring and ring with no answer and voicemail never coming on. Some times I wouldn't get text messages either, or just get the text messages hours after it was sent.
I ended up having to switch to Edge, which I really don't like because it's so much slower in my area than 3G. I know 3G is not what carries phonecalls, and that it shouldn't really matter. But my girlfriend and I both bought a Vibrant the same day, and we both have the same problem. She has gotten her Vibrant exchanged for a new one about a month ago since it ended up having a problem with the SD Card, and I had to get my Vibrant replaced a few weeks ago as well because my first one was lagging like crazy, and freezing............

May 2, 2010I have so far found two bugs in Galaxo 1.6.3:
a) Speaker doesn't work in call (very weak). works well in ringtones etc.
b) Scrolling contacts by letter doesn't work.
Other than that this is a leap forward, especially with the overclock options!
Both bugs, as well as others, fixed in 1.6.3.1 update!

Apr 24, 2010on my moment i use to have a bubble buttons right under the picture ID of the incoming caller. were you could answer or ignore but now the only way to answer is with the hard keys is there a place to get that option back with the bubbles.

Jan 11, 2010When I get incoming calls, my screen locks and says to push the button to access functionality or whatever. How can I stop this. I noticed that someone else had this same thing happen when they were listening to music. I am not listening to music.

This has happened even when the ringer volume is turned all the way up (it's much too easy to inadvertently lower the ringer volume, but that's another story). Yeah, I know - I live in New York City, where it's easy to not hear a phone ring, but I've missed calls even when I'm in a totally quiet room. Just now, I was sitting with the phone on the table in front of me, and it started lighting up with an incoming call, but the ringer made no sound. I checked and the ringer was up 3/4 of the way, so it should have been ringing.
