Anybody know if there is an app (or a way in the phone itself) to display a specific picture when you get an incoming call? They show this kind of thing on the *Phone ads and I think on the HTC and I would like to do the same thing on the crappy ol' BH2

When I get incoming calls, my screen locks and says to push the button to access functionality or whatever. How can I stop this. I noticed that someone else had this same thing happen when they were listening to music. I am not listening to music.
I do notice that it happens when my Bluetooth is on but the screen locks and won't allow me to depress the headset button and it doesn't respond to ANY button...Thus lost calls..
For some reason, all of my incoming picture messages are being resized to 3kb. It never used to do this; it started when I installed Handcent. But even after uninstalling Handcent, I still receive tiny pictures. It's driving me insane. Anyone know anything about this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first got my Vibrant a week after launch date, I noticed most people would tell me they had been calling me but I never received the call. Sometimes they said it would go straight to voicemail, sometimes it would ring and ring and ring with no answer and voicemail never coming on. Some times I wouldn't get text messages either, or just get the text messages hours after it was sent.
I ended up having to switch to Edge, which I really don't like because it's so much slower in my area than 3G. I know 3G is not what carries phonecalls, and that it shouldn't really matter. But my girlfriend and I both bought a Vibrant the same day, and we both have the same problem. She has gotten her Vibrant exchanged for a new one about a month ago since it ended up having a problem with the SD Card, and I had to get my Vibrant replaced a few weeks ago as well because my first one was lagging like crazy, and freezing............
I can make calls. I can text and receive texts. Surf the internet fine.. I just cant receive any incoming calls. When people call me they get the generic " the sprint customer you are trying to reach is unavailable". I have done a search of the forums to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay, so I've searched and found nothing similar to this - my phone deleted all the pictures that I've taken, every single one. From the SD card. I haven't done anything unusual, although the phone did a spontaneous reboot this morning. All the rest of my files seem to be there, including some desktop background images that showed up in the photo gallery - it just deleted the photos that I've taken. It's not rooted or anything, just running stock with the OTA update. WTF is that all about? I am beyond fed up with this kind of garbage.

View 3 Replies View Relatedits my fourth day sincei bought my Samsung I7500. fist two days of use were perfect. i suddenly couldn't charge the battery and it turned off. when i came home i've charged it and than next day i was loosing a lot of incoming calls! when someone calls me the phone just rings once and its stops, sometimes its shows as a missed call sometime it doesn't show anything.
can please anyone try to help me weather this is a hardware or software problem. i'm trying to update the phone through the NewPC but i definitely can't connect the phone and update it maybe i'm missing something...........

in the call log i can see the duration of each call but there seems not to be any way to see the total time for all ofmy calls...

My mobile is always on silent.. Because of my professional requirements.
What I am looking is a software by which I can add specific numbers (my wife; my dad and my mom and my boss).. These four numbers I want to add to a list which will always ring even if my mobile is on silent mode.
I'm trying to upload photos from the phone to my macbook. After uploading several pics to "my T-mobile album" and after emailing them to myself, I notice the pictures are pretty small, 480x360.. no where near what I expected from 5 megapixels (and yes, I have the option set at 5mp). What can I do to take larger sized pictures?
Possibly unrelated, I use the stock USB cable to plug in the phone. The phone will charge, but my Macbook does not recognize anything as being plugged in, so I cannot manually browse around to upload my photos. What gives?
Google photos doesn't seem to display all my photos from drive. some are missing and it doesn't show screenshots either.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the Behold II through T Mobile and when I'm on the road and in certain places I will have full bars but no 3g, or wifi. When I try to send a text it says "Unable to send text, will send once service becomes avalible" When I try to make a call it says service unavalible.
It tells me I have full bars, and when I go to network selection, it doesnt matter what network i choose or whats avalible it wont connect to it, a message will pop up and say "Network with limited service avalible, search for network" ..if i say yes it just does the same thing all over again, and if i say no it goes into automatic mode and wont let me do anything once again..
I have full bars, does that not matter? If I have to have 3g then why would it tell me i have a full signal when I really dont.
Whenever I have a missed call lately my screen display light stays on when my phone is locked and it drains my battery. How did I fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedNoticed yesterday that on the homescreen when the phone was locked that a missed call and voicemail notification appeared as pieces removed from a jigsaw overlay of the background homescreen image. Hadn't seen that before. Is that a default thing or can I change it (did look rather cool though). I usually use the pattern lock rather than the default swipe lock, so I'm wondering if it's to do with that default setting.

I've had, on more than one occasion, where people are trying to call me and it doesn't go through. My phone never rings but the person told me that it rang 3 times and went to voicemail. Is that Galaxy build problem or is that a T-Mobile problem? If there isn't an easy fix, I'm gonna call Customer Care and see if I can get the phone swapped for something else...
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had my evo for a little over a month now and I love it, only problem is it wont accept any incoming calls anymore. At first it would accept some but now it I don't get any. I updated to froyo today hoping it might fix something but no luck. I took it to sprint a few days ago he updated it and said see if it works now if it doesn't take it to the repair shop and if they cant fix it then they will give you a new one but I don't know how you'll be able to get a new one because we don't have any. I would rather not get a new one because I got the invisible shield put on my phone and I would rather not have to waste money getting a new one/putting it on. Has anyone else heard of evos doing this or know of anything that could make this happen? Everything else works fine on the phone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to set up a number (e.g. Google Voice or something else) and link that number to your mobile #, such that who ever calls you first dials the "proxy" number and the proxy is what directs them to you?
I ask because I have the 10 friends and family thing and I'd like to do a "one to many" by placing my proxy number on the list of numbers (so calls aren't deducted from my plan's minutes) and having certain people dial that number to get to me.
That way, the incoming number would (in theory) be the proxy number and therefore static, so that I could talk to non-Verizon people without the calls eating into my minutes.
I know one question will be: "So why not just list that phone number on your 10 friends and family list?"
Answer: Because I want a dummy proxy number so that, if I ever (i.e. can't anticipate which numbers they'll be) need to make a long call to a non-Verizon #, I can just have them dial that proxy number.
Make sense? Is this possible?
I also heard from a friend once about SIP or PBX virtual hosting to get all my calls onto VoIP through 3G or WiFi. That's something else that sounds like it works (because that person mentioned they were setting it up) and I may try if I can't do what I'm requesting above.
Does anyone have the problem of the phone only ringing twice on incoming calls, the ringer then stops but the caller is still there, have I got a setting wrong, how can I get it to ring until I answer the call?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI LOVE my EVO, but I have all my notifications set to vibrate which I like, except when I receive an incoming phone call, instead of just vibrating every 2 seconds or so, the thing goes into bezerk crazy vibrate mode, it's quite annoying and loud.Especially if I am sitting in a meeting and I get a call, every other phone I've had in my life just vibrates every few seconds, until it either goes to voicemail, or I ignore the call to stop the vibrating.So is there anyway to keep the EVO from vibrating so ferociously?I mean it doesn't even stop to breathe just one vibrate right after another.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a HTC Hero running the latest 1.5 software off of HTC site. One thing I have noticed, is that if I have any photos associated with a contact, the photo is heavily pixelated when it is displayed via an incoming/outgoing call.
I am using Gmail Sync to push email, calender and contacts. If I use the Pre or iPhone, then it shows up fine.
Is this a known bug? I have tried re-creating the image on the Hero - but once I select the area, it pixelates it again.
