Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Contacts Do Not Appear On Incoming Calls For Phone / Fix It?

Whenever I receive incoming calls, the caller, and even the phone number, doesn't appear to me, that is, the caller always appears as unknown. This means that I don't know who my missed calls are from if they don't get to voicemail. This isn't because of privacy settings on the other phones, I know, because some of the people have public numbers. Does anyone know what's causing this? And if you do, is there a way that I can fix it?

I recently bought this phone from Rogers (I still have a week to test this thing out to make sure it's not broken) I'm noticing that answering incoming calls can sometimes take up to 20 seconds before the other side can hear me! I can make calls and people can hear me as soon as the call begins but I'm answering the phone after it has shut itself down (I mean the screen goes dark and then I need to slide the slider on the screen to answer the call) SOMETIMES there will be a few seconds delay, sometimes nothing but I've had up to 20 seconds delay on multiple occasions I'm running 1.6, and from the sounds of it, we won't get 2.1 until next month but is ANYONE else getting these issues? Should I return this phone for another? This is inexcusable and I am having too many callers hang up the phone on me because they think they have a bad connection but in reality there is a delay before they can hear me.

When the Bluetooth is on and I am near my laptop, incoming calls are connected without the phone being touched. I have seen a few comments about this in other threads, so it is not just me and this is the 3rd replacement phone, so it is not just a one-off fault.

Recently bought the x10 and I am still getting used to it. One thing I have noticed is that when a caller not on my list is calling, I only see the number. When I plop my sim back into my old shitty LG VU, I can once again see the number and the name registered to it. Is this an x10 thing?

Recently got my X10 Mini Pro. When driving my motorbike and listening to the radio with the handsfree headset I want to answer incoming calls without touching any button. This I could do with the P1, and X1 phones, but the X10 Mini Pro seems to miss this great feature. Could there be an update or some add-on for Android phones I could download to get this feature?

Yesterday when i picked up a call i turned the speaker on but thereafter i am not getting the ringer tone for my incoming calls though i've not kept it on mute nor silent. My ringer volume band shows full volume. besides, I am also not able to play any music file provided by the phone. Can any one please help me how to enable my ringer or sound.

How to set the phone up so that I can view incoming/missed calls numbers? what happens now that all phone calls are just recorded as "unknown"on the screen, even for those I've already saved in the contact list. or should I contact my network provider which is optus in Australia?

I use Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro MK16I. (Rooted, Bootloader unlocked).
Recently I had issues syncing contacts with Google, Fb etc and I had to do a factory reset of the phone. Since then I've following issues so far.
1. Incoming calls are getting rejected automatically
2. Silent, Flight mode are missing when I press the power button
3. When I'm in some application and if I press the Menu/Home button, it does not take me to the home screen and nothing happens
4. Windows can't detect or install the drivers for the phone, even if I do it through the 3rd party sources windows still doesn't show it.

Does anyone know if it is possible to set default numbers in my phone for text messages and phone calls for individual contacts, please? I would like to set up the phone so it defaults to mobile phone numbers for text messages, so I don't accidentally try to send a text message to a landline.I have fiddled weith the phone for ages, but haven't yet found the option to do this.

Just this writing, I was answering an incoming call and the phone just auto shut down and rebooted. This is not the first time thoug, happens 2-3 times with 2-3 weeks inverval.

I'm having an Xperia X10 and I like most of the features though some things annoy me just like this. The phone automatically locks itself after an call. This is becoming really irritating when you want to make few calls and every time you have to unlock and then call, then unlock again. How can we disable this so that I've to lock it manually?

If SE had ANY respect for their customers they should have done this by now - its a bloody mobile phone for heaven's sake - what use is it if you cant make phone calls? I suggest for everyone who agrees with me to start their own discussion and flood the board - I am so fed up with this as I have had the phone since March and its simply ridiculous!

I put all my contacts on my phone from my sim card, great no problems, then opened a gmail acount which was usefull for editing and adding email addresses to the contacts. But I now have a problem where, if I add a new contact to my phone, say a name and mobile number, it will soon disapear when the phone synchronises with gmail. The only way I have found to add new contacts on the phone is to put them in gmail first on my lap top. I know It is possible the stop synchronisning but surely gmail shouldnt take contacts off my phone?

I cannot save all my phone contacts of x10 mini to sim card. I imported all my contacts from old Sim to new x10 phone now I want to use that sim to put in other phone but cannot import contacts to Sim - there doesnt seem to be an option. Very annoying.... Should not have thrown away old sim.

can we use our sim card contacts instead of the phone?after i sync my phone to sony ericsson website, more than 50% of my contacts disappeared from my phone.when i sync again hoping to get from SE website back to my phone, even the SE website is down by more than 50%.tried to copy the contacts from sim card to phone and it keep telling me 'the process com.andriod.phone has topped uneapectedly. please try again.' I have updated my phone because I had gotten some new contacts through facebook, and I would not ..Therefore, I also update the phone again to reset it all ..Now I can not get the contacts in the phone book, though I had backed up everything. And last time I updated my phone, there were no problems getting the contacts out again!?When I send an sms I can easily find my contacts, search for a name!Can not figure out how to have them in my phone again ..So I have the latest update on my Sony Ericsson x10 mini and finally I got the latest on there was no problem with getting the contacts in the phonebook!

I have 2 type of contacts on my phone, they are googlemail contacts and sim or phone contacts.Im getting annoyed that whenever i ad a new contact it saves on googlemail account, which i dont want.What i want is contacts to be saved only on phone or sim.How do i completely stop googlemail butting and saving contacts?
