My phone just quit receiving Gmail yesterday. I just thought it was a little quiet, but when I went to my inbox and did a manual refresh, I had 16 messages.
I had been in and out of 3G coverage all day and on Wi-Fi networks 5 times...
I unchecked the "sync" icon on the settings widget, and it seems to be working OK now, but this hasn't ever happened on any of my other Android devices.

My phone stopped syncing my mail to only one of my two yahoo accounts and I have not received any mail in that account since the 24th . The rotating syncing circle just keeps rotating forever. I have deleted that account multiple times and added it back.If someone knows a solution to this problem please post or f you also have the same issue.Could this be yahoo's problem or a problem with my phone?

I'm not sure what seems to be happening here, but does anyone know how to fix it? The calendar syncs perfectly to my phone when I put new entries in there but not when I enter into my phone. Anyway, I hope someone else has had this problem.

Today my phone rang and the ring tone was a Bob Segar song. I had not set the song as a ring tone so I was a bit perplexed by it.
Later, my Wife called me and the ring tone was "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen which is also not a song that I had set as a ring tone.
Yesterday I was receiving voice mails despite the phone never ringing.
I was wondering if this is one of the bugs in 2.2.1 or is this just a problem on my phone.

View 13 Replies View RelatedMy search button on my Dinc randomly stopped working today. It lights up and when I press it, I do in fact receive the haptic feedback. It just doesn't do anything. Is there a setting somewhere I might have screwed up somehow? I haven't changed anything and I did try rebooting a few times.

View 2 Replies View RelatedGot my Hero almost on release date from Orange Uk. I am well happy with it especially after the ROM update (official Orange one from HTC). I suffered from the missing SMS problem thats mentioned in another thread on here but I installed SMS2mailbox and that seems to be sorted now. I don't use my gmail account as my main email account I use my ISP which is Sky. I have a strange hit and miss problem with the POP mailbox and I wondered if anyone else suffers from it or knows a fix.
I have the email account setup on the Hero and it shows mail in my mailbox no problem, the issue I have is that it randomly deletes mails from my POP server and only keeps the copy on the phone. Heres an example. I get sent 5 emails in a day while I am at work. I check my Hero mail app and it shows them all. When I get home I open my Outlook client on my PC and only 4 emails come down. I can check on the phone and it still displays the 5. First I thought it was a phone setting but the 'Delete Mail on Server' is definitely set to off. This happened before and after the ROM update. I wonder if it is peculiar to Skys mail servers.
My Google play store randomly stopped working earlier today. It isn't closing or crashing. It is just endlessly loading. No time out message or error message. Tried with both 4g and wifi. I am using a Galaxy s3 on Verizon, jelly bean 4.3. The only thing I noticed is that Clash of Clans updated this morning but I was able to get on and download the update and then get back on play store but like not long after that it won't open.

View 14 Replies View RelatedTitle says it all. I do not pay the extra corporate email fee but I have never had problems with emails pushing to my phone. I've checked all the settings, rebooted the phone, pulled the battery.
Before going through the circus of asking someone in IT at my office if there is a problem I figured I would ask for suggestions here.
Settings are:
Download Frequency: As they arrive
Include File Attachment: Never
Mail Size Limit: Entire email
Not the default Account
I have had the Hero since October 9 and never had a problem syncing my AOL email with my Hero. I have had it set to sync every 15 minutes and all worked well. About a week ago I started noticing issues with not getting my messages consistently and I started seeing a message below the emails saying "Get More Messages ____ messages total on server" (I don't recall seeing this message before). If the number of messages on the server is greater than what I have on my phone, I can manually sync and they will down load. Sometimes my messages will sync, but not consistently. As I type this I see that I was showing 9 messages and the server had 11 so I manually synced and two more messages downloaded to the phone but they were from over an hour ago. I have tried deleting the account and re-setting it up but that doesn't seem to correct the issue.
(BTW, my exchange messages still sync fine).
Out of the blue, my Gmail contacts stopped synching to my Incredible. Mail works fine, as does my calendar, but the contacts that were there this morning are still there, but the last sync is about 12 hours old. Tried a manual sync and it doesn't sync...just sits there. Using Google Apps Premier and the Gmail contacts sync fine with my Apple Address book, but just not my phone. I was going to delete the Google account and add it again, but when I try that I get a tutorial that the only way I can do that is to reset the phone to factory defaults. I don't want to reinstall all the apps I have on this phone...surely there is something else going on. Any ideas?

Of course this happens when I'm away from home with no access to my gmail account other than my hero. When I go to my gmail webpage and settings on my hero, I noticed that there wasn't the option to manually fetch mail. Then I remembered that you had to change the gmail address to http instead of https due to some security issue they had. But when I try to do this via Dolphin on the hero, I can't seem to find a way to change the web address to http.

View 11 Replies View RelatedAll programs on my phone recently seem to want to randomly end from time to time. All apps seem to be experiencing this issue, IE stock apps (SMS, Browser) and a variety of apps from the market. It's happened before and after the 2/2 OTA, and obviously a restart did not fix this issue.
This doesn't seem to discriminate if other apps are running. I've had this happen on the SMS app with the stock KB, shortly after a restart without anything else running.
This isn't a compatibility issue. Okay so when I first installed HTC sync it was fine. I used it to install the latest ROM from T-mobile. I haven't used it since seeing as I didn't really have any need to. But today I though I may as well try it. So I turn my phone on. Plug it in. Drag down the notify bar. HTC sync. Sync now.
Pop-up on my computer says syncing calendar. Then it stops after 2 items. I look at my phone and it says HTC sync stop unexpectedly and I had to force close it. So I go into setting and try using HTC sync from there. But then my computer tells me the connection to my phone has times out. So, I restart my phone this time I get to 4 items. But the same thing happens.
Over the last few days, my Gmail has stopped syncing several times intermittently, with even a manual refresh having no effect. Coincidentally or otherwise, downloads from the Market have been taking absolutely ages to start over roughly the same period. Not sure whether this is connected, but these symptoms started at about the same time that I started getting "Low on space" warnings on status bar - though I still have about 13MB spare - surely enough to sync a few emails and complete small market downloads? Rebooting the phone seems to get Gmail working again, and kicks pending downloads from the market into life as well. Which would seem to indicate that memory is not the issue. This is a stock Desire, with the recent OTA firmware update. I am now also wondering whether this may be linked to that OTA update?
