I'm using a Galaxy Nexus, and I loved that my phone automatically synced my photos to Google. However, it has inexplicably stopped. I have trying manually syncing the photos, but to no avail.

My phone stopped syncing my mail to only one of my two yahoo accounts and I have not received any mail in that account since the 24th . The rotating syncing circle just keeps rotating forever. I have deleted that account multiple times and added it back.If someone knows a solution to this problem please post or f you also have the same issue.Could this be yahoo's problem or a problem with my phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI like to enter in my work schedule into my phone and let it sync with Google Calendar, but recently, my phone has stopped syncing any newly created entries. I'm not sure what seems to be happening here, but does anyone know how to fix it? The calendar syncs perfectly to my phone when I put new entries in there but not when I enter into my phone. Anyway, I hope someone else has had this problem.

I had been in and out of 3G coverage all day and on Wi-Fi networks 5 times...
I unchecked the "sync" icon on the settings widget, and it seems to be working OK now, but this hasn't ever happened on any of my other Android devices.
Yahoo mail app on phone, it all of a sudden stopped syncing. It refreshes but it is not getting the emails. It is showing emails up until yesterday. I have rebooted phone, force stopped app...nothing.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm only slightly knowledgeable in smartphone maintenance and technology, I know how to do fairly general maintenance tasks on my S4 but have difficulty when an issue comes up. Older phones used to be easy for me to handle. As phone technology advances, I find it harder and harder to keep up.
Anyway, Since the 4.3 update rolled out for Sprint customers, I've been having issues with deleted photos reappearing. Specifically, the ones stored on the SD card in folders that have a little sd card icon next to the folder icon (photos on the device delete just fine). I've searched for the issue but most of the things I read are related to a new card being installed or Picasa syncing the deleted photos. I don't have a new SD card, I've never had a Picasa account or had it on my phone, I've disabled syncing in Google, Google+, Facebook, Gmail, I've deleted Dropbox, turned off every sync option available in settings and the gallery settings, gone to apps > all > gallery and cleared data, gone to My files and tried deleting them there, installed a photo gallery app and tried deleting photos through it. None of these have worked.
I then thought I'd hook up the phone to my computer (running Windows 7) and try to delete them that way but the computer will not display any of the photos stored on the card. Only what's on the device. So irritated with this! Why can't I directly manage photos on my device through the gallery like the days of yore? WHERE is the syncing coming from??? Where did the SD card folder even come from? I didn't create it. And why the limited access to files when connected to my computer via USB? Gotta figure this out somehow. Photos and videos have somehow taken up 7GB of memory.
I don't want everything syncing and linking to everything else!! I like to keep things separate and manage each app/program/utility independently. The occasional access via, say, Facebook or something, is okay now and then but complete, automatic connectivity isn't something all of us want.
I have a Galaxy S4 and every time I go to sync my photos there are a ton of random pictures that I have not taken or taken screen shots of. This is really annoying and there are pictures that I definitely do not want on my phone that are showing up. The odd thing is these pictures do not show up in my actual gallery on my phone, only when I sync it to my computer.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have had the Hero since October 9 and never had a problem syncing my AOL email with my Hero. I have had it set to sync every 15 minutes and all worked well. About a week ago I started noticing issues with not getting my messages consistently and I started seeing a message below the emails saying "Get More Messages ____ messages total on server" (I don't recall seeing this message before). If the number of messages on the server is greater than what I have on my phone, I can manually sync and they will down load. Sometimes my messages will sync, but not consistently. As I type this I see that I was showing 9 messages and the server had 11 so I manually synced and two more messages downloaded to the phone but they were from over an hour ago. I have tried deleting the account and re-setting it up but that doesn't seem to correct the issue.
(BTW, my exchange messages still sync fine).
Out of the blue, my Gmail contacts stopped synching to my Incredible. Mail works fine, as does my calendar, but the contacts that were there this morning are still there, but the last sync is about 12 hours old. Tried a manual sync and it doesn't sync...just sits there. Using Google Apps Premier and the Gmail contacts sync fine with my Apple Address book, but just not my phone. I was going to delete the Google account and add it again, but when I try that I get a tutorial that the only way I can do that is to reset the phone to factory defaults. I don't want to reinstall all the apps I have on this phone...surely there is something else going on. Any ideas?

I did a soft reset, nothing. Hard reset, nothing. All the setting are the same. It just continuously tries to sync, but never connects. Will I have to set up the account again or what ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Nexus 4 and Nexus 7.I am trying to sync all my Google Drive photos with my Google + account. In Google + I have checked the box to allow Google Drive to sync with Google Drive. Most of the pictures show up in Google + without a problem. Some however, do not. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this either. All of my photo folders. It doesn't seem to be related to one format or another. (Ex. One JPG file is there and another isn't)
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis isn't a compatibility issue. Okay so when I first installed HTC sync it was fine. I used it to install the latest ROM from T-mobile. I haven't used it since seeing as I didn't really have any need to. But today I though I may as well try it. So I turn my phone on. Plug it in. Drag down the notify bar. HTC sync. Sync now.
Pop-up on my computer says syncing calendar. Then it stops after 2 items. I look at my phone and it says HTC sync stop unexpectedly and I had to force close it. So I go into setting and try using HTC sync from there. But then my computer tells me the connection to my phone has times out. So, I restart my phone this time I get to 4 items. But the same thing happens.
Over the last few days, my Gmail has stopped syncing several times intermittently, with even a manual refresh having no effect. Coincidentally or otherwise, downloads from the Market have been taking absolutely ages to start over roughly the same period. Not sure whether this is connected, but these symptoms started at about the same time that I started getting "Low on space" warnings on status bar - though I still have about 13MB spare - surely enough to sync a few emails and complete small market downloads? Rebooting the phone seems to get Gmail working again, and kicks pending downloads from the market into life as well. Which would seem to indicate that memory is not the issue. This is a stock Desire, with the recent OTA firmware update. I am now also wondering whether this may be linked to that OTA update?

If I open my media player and go to the sync tab, I can create a play list to sync. Only when i hit start sync, it starts sycing ALL songs in my media play as opposed to the ones i selected. What's the best way to get songs on my phone. Same goes for photes. I have pics on my computer that I would liek on my phone but i have no clue how to get them there.

I would rather use the photos I have for contacts in Gmail but now that I've synced with Facebook I can't get the photos to go away, short of going to each contact and choosing to sync the birthdays but not photos. Even then, would i really have to add each of their photos to the SD card and change each one individually in their contact file? More simply put: How can I unsync Facebook photos with contacts? I tried logging out of Facebook and uninstalling the app but, disturbingly, it continues to show contact photos from FB and, more disturbingly, gives me updates on them. I'm definitely logged out and I definitely uninstalled the app.
View 4 Replies View RelatedNew to HTC Hero and Android and i've had a little problem present itself this morning with my Facebook contacts and Phonebook. Basically, when i set the phone up, i linked everyone that i had On facebook with thier contact info on my phone. All the photo's linked over and i've been receiving updates etc as your supposed to. However this morning i looked trhough my phone and on the widget where you show your favourites, as well as the whole phone book, the profile pictures have disappeared!
Has this happened to anyone before, is it a common problem (i couldnt find any previous threads etc), and can someone assist in fixing it again?
I use the Email App that was on the phone (not the specific Gmail app). I have two Gmail accounts and one school email app. All of the settings are set to check every 5 minutes. All three email accounts have been syncing fine for the first two days that I have had the phone, but all of a sudden the two Gmail accounts have stopped autosyncing. However, none of the settings have changed. My school email receives all my emails every 5 minutes, but my two Gmail accounts will only get the email once I enter the accounts and do a manual sync. Both of my Gmail accounts are set to IMAP and they are all on the right settings.

Now I have quite a few videos in there as well, but I do remember a message saying that videos are not supported by Picasa and that only the photos would be uploaded. I'm now trying to do the same thing, but whenever I choose the entire 'Camera' folder to upload to Picasa, the only 'Share' options are YouTube, Gmail, and Bluetooth. Does anyone know how I may have done that the first time, or a way to sync photos from the gallery to Picasa web albums?

ive tried a bunch of rescan sd card apps but they all crash when i open them.

My Galaxy Nexus died after only a year. It had gotten to where the phone portion stopped working completely and data rarely worked even though I am in a 4G hot spot. I went in yesterday to pay full price for a phone and the rep offered me a new phone for the regular upgrade price. After an hour I walked out with a new Droid DNA and could not be happier.
Yes, I had to give up unlimited data but the most we have ever used is 3.5 GB per month and they gave us 4 along with unlimited minutes and texting which my wife needs. I could not be happier at the moment.
