I have no idea what to do here, I can manually sync my accounts but they dont refresh like they are supposed to. I even tried turning push off, battery pull etc NOTHING. I really need my email on me at all times!

I use the Email App that was on the phone (not the specific Gmail app). I have two Gmail accounts and one school email app. All of the settings are set to check every 5 minutes. All three email accounts have been syncing fine for the first two days that I have had the phone, but all of a sudden the two Gmail accounts have stopped autosyncing. However, none of the settings have changed. My school email receives all my emails every 5 minutes, but my two Gmail accounts will only get the email once I enter the accounts and do a manual sync. Both of my Gmail accounts are set to IMAP and they are all on the right settings.

I did a soft reset, nothing. Hard reset, nothing. All the setting are the same. It just continuously tries to sync, but never connects. Will I have to set up the account again or what ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have searched and haven't been able to find any threads with one of my issues, so I apologize in advance if I missed one. Anyways, my DX has been working flawlessly since I got it back on 10/6. Sunday, 10/31, my DX quit syncing just my corporate Exchange 2003 emails, then yesterday it started not sending emails as well and now, this morning, it quit syncing my personal email. Corporate email will sync manually, just not push. I have rebooted several times, pulled the battery several times, and also deleted both my Exchange account and my personal account and re-added both and the problem still persists. I don't have any task killer apps installed and haven't recently added any apps since the issues started. Anyone have an idea what may be causing the lack of push (in and out) on both of my accounts?

I have two non-Gmail accounts set up using the stock email program: one Yahoo Mail and the other for my domain. The email account for my domain is set up as the default, so when I start a new email, it comes from that account. However, I can not figure out how to switch to the Yahoo Mail account to compose and send email without making the Yahoo Mail account the default account. There has to be some way to open your inbox or send a new message without switching which account is the default everytime, or at least I would think so.

The first time was a few weeks ago after having the same accounts for months. The next time was a couple of weeks ago and then it happened again today. I checked my emails when I got to work, and then while I was sitting in a meeting, I picked up my phone to peek at emails and all 3 accounts were gone along with my corporate calendar account. I re-entered the accounts and it loads everything, but this is kind of annoying.

I have one Exchange account for work and one Pop account (yahoo). Both times I've gone to access my email and the accounts were just gone (my gmail account however remained in tact). I have to go and add them in again and adding Yahoo as a Pop account is no picnic. Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening or if that's even possible?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Droid X for a week now. I'm coming from the Incredible. Both are great phones but I prefer the X. I have 3 email accounts setup on this phone. My corp account using the Corporate Sync and 2 personal accounts using IMAP. The Corporate Sync works fine but the IMAP accounts will only download email every few hours instead of every 15 minutes. If I reboot the phone, it will download new emails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of our Droid's have lost the mail accounts at least once (when you go to email it shows the "new account wizard" - however, the old accounts still show in the "Sync" area. One of the devices seems to be doing it regularly. Wanted to see if anyone had advice with this issue, as I have heard other discussing the issue, but never seen resolution. Specific to the unit that has lost it several times. I factory reset the device last time to see if that would resolve it. It dropped it again not a week later. This unit is not rooted, and is at 2.0.1. The only other assumption I can make is possible problems with an APP?

I don't know for the life of me how to see all my accounts I have with the stock email app. I have two AOL accounts, but every time I open the app, only one account shows up. I try pressing "back" and it exits the program. I also tried seeing what I can do when I press the settings button (first left button).

I just can't figure out how to add multiple email accounts under the Email app. Under email settings I see where it says default mail account and it shows both of my account, but the front screen doesn't show both accounts?

I have the phone set on Wi-fi, and in Performance mode and the email still doesn't sync unless I do it manually. View 9 Replies View RelatedI've had this happen to me twice now over the past week. It seems that periodically my notification sounds will stop. I will see that I have new emails but never heard the sound. I will then go send myself a test text message and it will vibrate but make no sound. I've made sure all my volumes are up, and even went in to pick a notification sound and it will work fine in the sound chooser when I pick it.
I also noticed both times that it did this if I go in to Spare Parts or Battery History and look my phone is staying awake and Android Usage is the one with the partial wake lock. Generally I don't have any sleep issues, it only happens when my notification sounds have also quit working. The only way to fix it is power off and back on and then all is good again.
Anyone else having a problem with launcher pro not auto syncing email or app market. I need to manually refresh my gmail. And usually it tells me when I have an update in the market.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a student email account for Virginia tech and I can't get it set up properly on my phone. Is there certain settings I need to use to get it to work? I don't really know a whole lot about POP3 and IMAP etc. One thing I did notice is that when using Microsoft outlook at school everything works fine. But when I go home I can still receive messages but cant send them. I am thinking its because my IP address isn't one on campus and that messes up something with the servers?

So I have 3 Gmail Accounts in the Gmail app. My question pertains to how Android syncs the contact lists (which include many of the same contacts) from these 3 separate accounts. Will I end up with dozens of duplicate contacts? If so, is there a workaround? Also, is there an easier way to switch between different Gmail accounts? E.g., in the Gmail app, you have to go to Menu then Accounts, which is inefficient. The built-in mail app displays a list of accounts when you open it (an ideal approach), but I would prefer to not open my Gmail accounts in the default mail app.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've searched and seen various derivatives of this message throughout this forum, dealing with cameras, or email on different phones etc, but nothing exactly like this for the Milestone. Milestone: "Sorry The application email (process com.android.email) has stopped (unexpectedly) Please try again" followed by a "Force Close" button. This pops up dozens of times per day, causes no real problems that I'm aware of, but is pesky, as I have to keep tapping the 'Force Close" button all the time to make it go away (for a while).

On the old phone I had all my email accounts, Exchange, Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail.I could open the mail app and see all accounts as a list and then select which account to access the new email as it would show which accounts had new mail. On the Eris, when I get a new email notification, I have no idea which email account the new mail is for. I have to open mail, then touch to open the pull down of accounts and then check each one , one by one until I dig out the new email. Is there an easier way to see all new mail in an overview list of all accounts on the Eris? All in all loving the phone after 48 hours but the email use seems clunky and slows down my productivity.

However, after some thought, I decided to create a personal Gmail account and wanted ALL of my phone's contacts to sync with THAT newly created personal Gmail account. No can do.Although I have the original Gmail account's settings on "off" (not to sync at all), when I sync the phone to Google, all calendar events are there on the new G account, but NOT the contacts. They are simply not coming over?

I am seriously considering the hero having had a G1 and digging that before i was sucked into the iphone web (at&t bleeps). A couple questions that will either seal/break the deal: can you multitask on the hero as you can in the pre? i-e: have pandora going while you check email and answer a text? pre's web OS allows syncing with all three of my accounts: gmail, yahoo and hotmail. notifications for all three show up along with threaded conversations w/ various contacts. Can the hero also do this? or is yahoo/hotmail restricted as it they are on the iphone?

So far I have three email accounts including my gmail account on my eris. When I first setup my msn, and school email I was able to separate the accounts into two separate icons. Now that I have figured out how to add my yahoo account I would like to have a separate icon for this also but can't figure out how I did this the first time.
