My Gmail through exchange stopped syncing today. I decided to delete the account and set it up over again. Problem is, I keep getting errors connecting and it won't let me set up anymore.

Earlier today my phone stopped automatically syncing with my work Microsoft Exchange. Yesterday was perfect ( I have had the phone for 3 months all ways synced before). I did a soft reset, nothing. Hard reset, nothing. All the setting are the same. It just continuously tries to sync, but never connects. Will I have to set up the account again or what ?

View 14 Replies View RelatedOver the last few days, my Gmail has stopped syncing several times intermittently, with even a manual refresh having no effect. Coincidentally or otherwise, downloads from the Market have been taking absolutely ages to start over roughly the same period. Not sure whether this is connected, but these symptoms started at about the same time that I started getting "Low on space" warnings on status bar - though I still have about 13MB spare - surely enough to sync a few emails and complete small market downloads? Rebooting the phone seems to get Gmail working again, and kicks pending downloads from the market into life as well. Which would seem to indicate that memory is not the issue. This is a stock Desire, with the recent OTA firmware update. I am now also wondering whether this may be linked to that OTA update?

I have two Gmail accounts and one school email app. All of the settings are set to check every 5 minutes. All three email accounts have been syncing fine for the first two days that I have had the phone, but all of a sudden the two Gmail accounts have stopped autosyncing. However, none of the settings have changed. My school email receives all my emails every 5 minutes, but my two Gmail accounts will only get the email once I enter the accounts and do a manual sync. Both of my Gmail accounts are set to IMAP and they are all on the right settings.
View 7 Replies View RelatedOut of the blue, my Gmail contacts stopped synching to my Incredible. Mail works fine, as does my calendar, but the contacts that were there this morning are still there, but the last sync is about 12 hours old. Tried a manual sync and it doesn't sync...just sits there. Using Google Apps Premier and the Gmail contacts sync fine with my Apple Address book, but just not my phone. I was going to delete the Google account and add it again, but when I try that I get a tutorial that the only way I can do that is to reset the phone to factory defaults. I don't want to reinstall all the apps I have on this phone...surely there is something else going on. Any ideas?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI like to enter in my work schedule into my phone and let it sync with Google Calendar, but recently, my phone has stopped syncing any newly created entries. I'm not sure what seems to be happening here, but does anyone know how to fix it? The calendar syncs perfectly to my phone when I put new entries in there but not when I enter into my phone. Anyway, I hope someone else has had this problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedTitle says it all. I do not pay the extra corporate email fee but I have never had problems with emails pushing to my phone. I've checked all the settings, rebooted the phone, pulled the battery.
Before going through the circus of asking someone in IT at my office if there is a problem I figured I would ask for suggestions here.
Settings are:
Download Frequency: As they arrive
Include File Attachment: Never
Mail Size Limit: Entire email
Not the default Account
What would cause the Exchange ActiveSync to just stop syncing emails entirely?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm noticing that when I get a message on my phone and opening it to mark as read, it isn't updating my gmail account online, at least not in a very timely fashion. The message just stays bolded as unread. I even tried refreshing my inbox by clicking on 'Mail' in gmail, and it still showed as unread.

On 2.1, the second I got an email, it showed up in my Gmail inbox (no notification, but that wasn't a big deal, i just manually checked it) anyway, now its not doing that, and I have to manually refresh Gmail, which is annoying. Anyone else having this issue? Anyone know how to get around it?
View 16 Replies View RelatedYesterday I noticed that my emails from my phone were not getting sent.Today I noticed I had a bunch in my outbox that said sending.I have the sync turned on and all my other Google apps sync (Calendar, Picasa, Contacts) but gmail never updates.I can't force it to send and receive either.And I can't remove my account to set it up again without doing a factory reset.Any ideas why just my gmail is not syncing anymore?BTW I tried to uncheck all sync options turn off phone and back on then check them again without any luck.

I know that I can use the gmail app with my gmail account. I am already going to sync the calendar and contacts.
If I choose to use the HTC Mail app for my gmail (setup as exchange), do I need to set gmail (when logged in on the web interface) as IMAP? I know to use the m.google.com as the exchange server.
After 5 days of perfection, my gmail won't push anymore. Everything is set to sync so, I turned off sync, turned it on again, then it pushes, but won't after that. (it's been 24 hrs now)

View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since putting a Froyo ROM on my Incredible, I've not been able to get my secondary gmail account to function properly. No automatic syncing from the phone to the cloud. I sometimes will get message pushed out to the phone but not all the time.
I've seen reports that a official OTA for the Evo came out last night that has fixed this gmail problem for them. So I'm wondering if it is possible for someone to get the gmail application off of the OTA release and then allow it to be installed on an Incredible running some version of Froyo.
I am looking for an app that combines my work email and gmail email into one widget or app. I thought that Pure Messenger would do that but I can't get it to add my work email to it. Any suggestions or apps?

In Gmail, you can respond to emails as if it was coming from the business email (server). This was a simple sync I had with Blackberry emails. However, I'm finding difficulties setting up the same thing for my new HTC Incredible (Verizon provider).

I usually just read what other people wrote, but I can't seem to find a related post for my current problem.I date someone overseas in S. Korea, and since there's no way to send text msgs in Korean from here, I talk to her using activesync with a gmail account. She can check emails on her phone from Korea, and my phone sends me notification everytime I get an email from her. Basically it's same as texting except it allows me to type in Korean and doesn't cost a dime.For the reasons mentioned above, saving battery life isn't much of an option for me. I need to have activesync or gmail push running instantly. I tried using "check email every 5 minutes", but just imagine having to stay idle for 5 minutes everytime you text with your friends.
As of today, gmail push on android seems to work with 5 - 30 minutes delay (or manual refresh). However, Exchange Activesync will not even allow me to sync gmail (Different errors every time even though I'm putting the same information; gmail address,m.google.com as server address, username & password). I thought activesync just allows me to use "gmail push" on HTC mail app, so I don't quite understand why gmail app works (despite the lag), but activesync won't even let me sync my mail. Activesync last worked on 06/17/2010.Also, gmail push works with no lag when I'm on wifi. Is this normal?I'm starting to think there's a problem with the Sprint network or my phone. Gmail push also works instantly if my 3G bar is white. If it's greyed out, no emails come until the 3G bar turns white. Now I have to turn on AIM or MSN messenger to keep the data flowing and manually keep the 3G bar white. Then gmail push comes instantly. It's pretty ridiculous because the battery then lasts about 2-4 hours.
My phone stopped syncing my mail to only one of my two yahoo accounts and I have not received any mail in that account since the 24th . The rotating syncing circle just keeps rotating forever. I have deleted that account multiple times and added it back.If someone knows a solution to this problem please post or f you also have the same issue.Could this be yahoo's problem or a problem with my phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had the Hero since October 9 and never had a problem syncing my AOL email with my Hero. I have had it set to sync every 15 minutes and all worked well. About a week ago I started noticing issues with not getting my messages consistently and I started seeing a message below the emails saying "Get More Messages ____ messages total on server" (I don't recall seeing this message before). If the number of messages on the server is greater than what I have on my phone, I can manually sync and they will down load. Sometimes my messages will sync, but not consistently. As I type this I see that I was showing 9 messages and the server had 11 so I manually synced and two more messages downloaded to the phone but they were from over an hour ago. I have tried deleting the account and re-setting it up but that doesn't seem to correct the issue.
(BTW, my exchange messages still sync fine).
My exchange email has stopped. All of a sudden it stopped syncing and gave me an error. I removed the account and then re added the account and it says couldn't open connection to server. I am running paranoid android rom. I wiped cache and davlaich cache as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if anyone is having difficulty with Touchdown or the native mail app in syncing with their work email through microsoft exchange. For some reason older mail disappears in both the native mail app and touchdown. Sometimes I would see an older email I kept and then it disappears. I have set it up so that email only gets deleted from our servers when I say so. I'm also running 2.2 Froyo. Also in the native mail app, I have deleted an email but it comes back, it never gets deleted. A little frustrating to say the least.
