I am not sure what happened, but at first the speakers when playing back audio was very loud and clear. Then, for seemingly no reason, it is barely audible even tuned all the way up. Did a press a setting somewhere by accident?

I rooted my phone a week or so ago and love it 100 times more than before. However, I use it daily to listen to audio books. Before rooting when I had my earpiece in - if I received a message or call then sound came only through the earpiece. Now it comes through the earpiece and the external speaker on the phone. Suggestions on how to stop it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIt's that little "tick" sound you hear when you press an icon on the home page, or hit something on a menu, or click a link, etc. Mine is suddenly about 1/3 the volume it used to be. I checked the settings and I can turn it off in Sounds & Display...Audible Selection but I don't see any adjustment for the volume of it.
The only thing new in the past few days is that I got both the desk dock and car dock (the "quiet tick" problem is when it's not docked though).
Rebooted with no luck.

I'm having problems with the ear-speaker of my HTC Hero. It has been working great for near 4 months now then out of nowhere the ear-speaker stopped working yesterday. Whenever I try to make or receive a call I cannot hear the other person speaking. If I switch to speaker or headset then I can hear them just fine, but if I try to use the ear-speaker there's nothing. Anyone got any bright ideas on what's wrong/how to fix it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI must have the worst luck with phones. My Droid X was working flawlessly since I bought it last week and then suddenly won't get signal! I called VZW and was on the phone with them for over an hour. Tried everything and come to find out, my Droid Eris (previous phone) connects just fine. Some problem came up with the Droid X! Suffice it to say, they are sending a replacement in an week or two and I'm back to the Eris in the mean time. Anyone know how the heck this could've happened? I tried airplane mode on and off, turned the phone off and on, took out the battery while the phone was on, did a full system reset and went through all of the system stuff through VZW.

It always says im half mile to where i am, google maps/navigation doesnt work, and neither does any program i have that uses GPS. Always says the GPS Signal is not there. View 7 Replies View RelatedSuddenly this morning my DROIDX decided that my wallpaper (an image that i have saved on my phone) is in landscape only mode.
When I go to edit the wallpaper the little box that comes up (so that you can crop, etc) is now landscape and not portrait. This results in two huge black bars above and below my picture on my wallpaper.
I dont know how this happend or how to get it back.........
Yahoo. worked absolutely flawlessly up to about 3 days ago. Anyone else? check your e-mail on a computer and see if you have missed emails being sent to your phone. Have not done anything other than the update and it worked fine after that. i did clear my cache for the first time yesterday, but the problem started before that.

He had to bring the first one back due to his external speaker sounded blown, and now the replacement one he got is doing the same thing. We were wondering if this is a popular problem and if the next replacement he gets Saturday is going to do the same thing all over again. He never uses the external speaker only for the message alerts. We are both stumped onto why the same thing would happen to both phones. I have the same phone and mine hasnt done it I do have mine on vibrate a lot more then his.

My phone need to do this:
Headphone mic for voice input.

I suspect many of you are like me and monkey with your phones so damned much that sometimes it's hard to pinpoint what changes we've made to which changes we've noticed. I've been running UD 9.0 ever since it came out. I've had great battery life with SetCPU profiles set from 250MHz to 1Ghz unless the battery goes below 30%, in which case it goes down to a max of 550MHz with a low still at 250MHz. The only thing I've changed recently is downloads of app updates, (...including SetCPU, btw). The other day my home WiFi crapped out, so I used a tether app and played around online with my laptop using my phone. I had never done it for so long before, but inside of about three hours, my battery was at 20%, when usually at that time of day, it's at hour 13 from last charge, and at about 40%. Now my battery is not lasting a whole 14 hours, where it used to go from 5 AM to 10 PM before it gave me the "15% juice left" heads up. I don't know if it's because of a bad SetCPU update, or a wifi tether app problem, or what.

Whereas I used to maybe only use 10% battery after the first 5-6 hours of my day, I find myself now down to 60% in that same timespan. The same apps I always run in the background are and everything has remained constant. What could be the issue?
