I got a headphone jack adapter, and when I plug it into my Touch Pro, it doesn't find it. I know I plugged it in correctly, but the sound keeps coming from the speaker instead of my earbuds. I'm wondering if there's a setting I need to change? Or if it's just not working.

I have what I thought was a flawless Epic, till this morning my speaker started sounding like static was coming out of it. Now everything that comes out the speakers sounds like static or like a blown speaker. Sucks cause now I have to take it back to bestbuy. I'm hopping somehow it fixes by its myself.

They're generally made for iPods but hold other players as well.Because of the wee USB port, I have bought a little adaptor so now I've got 3.5mm jack, but I don't know how well that would dock.
I just want something cheap so I can set it on the kitchen counter whilst making dinner and washing up. I don't even necessarily need it to be at a good angle, so I could just buy a cheapie pair of stereo speakers, but thought something small and compact would be more convenient if I want to move things around to different rooms.I went ahead and bought something verrah verrah cheap off Amazon. I put some MP3s on my Inc and the audio player plays them fine and they're pretty loud coming out of the speaker.
Now, I took one of those MP3s and set it as my ring tone. I turned the ringtone volume all the way up and when I got a call, it's like half the volume as it played as an MP3.
Why do I lose so much volume? Is there any way to make that louder?
I was running my fingernail across the gold speaker cover strip on the back. I noticed in the middle that it pushes in quite a bit. It's like that part is not properly secured to the backplate.Could someone else attempt this for me. I want to know if it's how it was constructed, or if it's just my unit.Just run your fingernail with LIGHT pressure across the speaker cover. See if it pushes in in the middle.

View 3 Replies View Relatedthis use to happen on my Galaxy Nexus and now happens on my Nexus 5. This random fluid sounding set of beeps comes from the phone for no apparent reason. I FINALLY managed to record it after all of these years.
Sometimes it will just do it once sometimes multiple times in succession. Then it might not do it for a week. Doesn't matter if the phone is locked or not. Completely random.....
I'm having problems with the ear-speaker of my HTC Hero. It has been working great for near 4 months now then out of nowhere the ear-speaker stopped working yesterday. Whenever I try to make or receive a call I cannot hear the other person speaking. If I switch to speaker or headset then I can hear them just fine, but if I try to use the ear-speaker there's nothing. Anyone got any bright ideas on what's wrong/how to fix it?

I have had it for a few months and everything is great, but now when I am on the phone in the car on the dock and on my BT, I unclip the phone and it should change to my profile that still has the BT enabled. For some reason, my call screen is still blue (BT), but the handset engages and the bluetooth cuts out.

He had to bring the first one back due to his external speaker sounded blown, and now the replacement one he got is doing the same thing. We were wondering if this is a popular problem and if the next replacement he gets Saturday is going to do the same thing all over again. He never uses the external speaker only for the message alerts. We are both stumped onto why the same thing would happen to both phones. Before rooting when I had my earpiece in - if I received a message or call then sound came only through the earpiece. Now it comes through the earpiece and the external speaker on the phone. My phone need to do this:
Headphone mic for voice input.
BUT outputs call sound through phone speaker or sound box.

Version of the now low end phone HTC Aria.
It has a room choice of cyanogenmod 6 and 7.2 official, cm9,10 custom ported.
When I had my Voyager, I could use my bluetooth earpiece to talk on the phone, and also get the audio from the Navigation to come through the earpiece. I was surprised tonight that when I was using my GPS on the Droid it didn't come through my earpiece which resulted in me turning my radio down significantly so I could hear the phone.
I also have a stereo bluetooth headphones that I already paired and see the icon on the screen, but when I play a video or some music, it doesn't come through the headphones. Its still coming out of the Droid's phone speakers. Its showing that it is connected in my notifications bar too.
