Yahoo. worked absolutely flawlessly up to about 3 days ago. Anyone else? check your e-mail on a computer and see if you have missed emails being sent to your phone. Have not done anything other than the update and it worked fine after that. i did clear my cache for the first time yesterday, but the problem started before that.

I never had those problem on my Droid, but for whatever reason, K9 will not send emails over wifi. (Gmail account.)You can receive but not send.

From within my exchange account, the forwarded message is delivered with my typed text, none of the quoted text, and an error file instead of the attachment: A_POLICY_VIOLATED_FILE_WAS_DETECTED_AND_REMOVED.TX T.
This happens regardless of what type of email account I forward the message to--google account or exchange.
If I forward a message with an attachment from my google account, it includes my text and quoted text at least, but not the attachment.
If I can't forward attachments, ok--but I don't get the policy violated file thing. I should note that this occurs in TouchDown and in the native android 2.0 mail application.
I obviously didn't look hard enough. I was able to successfully forward in TouchDown by downloading the attachments first. The quoted text and the full attachments then went just fine.
I have an employee that states he is unable to view emails that he has sent from his Droid. Is this something he is doing wrong or a setting he can enable, or is this something he can not do from his phone?
View 3 Replies View Relatedso today my htc desire has decided that it won't send any text messages.phone calls work, signal is fine, but whenever i send a text it just buzzes and says it's unable to send. i last successfully sent a text yesterday (20th may) at 23:39. haven't installed any apps since or anything like that.i am very frustrated. this is basic stuff here that a phone should be able to do. anyway, eventually it gives up and tells me:"Unable to send message after multiple attempts."

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use a Note 2, and was able to install apks perfectly fine until this afternoon, now i'm unable to click "install" , it isn't greyed out or anything. I know screen filter and similar apps have a bug which doesn't allow you to click install, so I disabled and uninstalled them just to be sure.
I'm on stock 4.1.2, no software updates of any sort in the last month,weird it suddenly stopped allowing me to install apks
Able to install apps from the play store otherwise.
Edit- Also rebooted several times, and tried installing apks i've installed before, no dice And I do have unknown sources checked.
I must have the worst luck with phones. My Droid X was working flawlessly since I bought it last week and then suddenly won't get signal! I called VZW and was on the phone with them for over an hour. Tried everything and come to find out, my Droid Eris (previous phone) connects just fine. Some problem came up with the Droid X! Suffice it to say, they are sending a replacement in an week or two and I'm back to the Eris in the mean time. Anyone know how the heck this could've happened? I tried airplane mode on and off, turned the phone off and on, took out the battery while the phone was on, did a full system reset and went through all of the system stuff through VZW.
View 20 Replies View RelatedI have had my Droid since lauch. The GPS which i use a ton geocaching and with the google maps has been flawless. Now all of a sudden the GPS has stopped being accurate. It always says im half mile to where i am, google maps/navigation doesnt work, and neither does any program i have that uses GPS. Always says the GPS Signal is not there. Any tips or has anyone have had this happen to you?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSuddenly this morning my DROIDX decided that my wallpaper (an image that i have saved on my phone) is in landscape only mode.
When I go to edit the wallpaper the little box that comes up (so that you can crop, etc) is now landscape and not portrait. This results in two huge black bars above and below my picture on my wallpaper.
I dont know how this happend or how to get it back.........
I suspect many of you are like me and monkey with your phones so damned much that sometimes it's hard to pinpoint what changes we've made to which changes we've noticed. I've been running UD 9.0 ever since it came out. I've had great battery life with SetCPU profiles set from 250MHz to 1Ghz unless the battery goes below 30%, in which case it goes down to a max of 550MHz with a low still at 250MHz. The only thing I've changed recently is downloads of app updates, (...including SetCPU, btw). The other day my home WiFi crapped out, so I used a tether app and played around online with my laptop using my phone. I had never done it for so long before, but inside of about three hours, my battery was at 20%, when usually at that time of day, it's at hour 13 from last charge, and at about 40%. Now my battery is not lasting a whole 14 hours, where it used to go from 5 AM to 10 PM before it gave me the "15% juice left" heads up. I don't know if it's because of a bad SetCPU update, or a wifi tether app problem, or what.

Whereas I used to maybe only use 10% battery after the first 5-6 hours of my day, I find myself now down to 60% in that same timespan. The same apps I always run in the background are and everything has remained constant. What could be the issue?

When i set it up initially the outgoing server was an ntl one which was suprising as i've always had to use o2 on other phones but it worked a treat on my ntl. but now its only sending mails if i am on home wifi connection not on the 02 network.

Run a few tests and basically, my gmail app shows unread emails in the counter, but hasn't updated the actual email list for at least a day Thinking about it, it may not have worked since I updated the firmware on Sunday.Any ideas anyone? Be a bit of a pisser if my first official upgrade broke it... Wouldn't exactly surprise though

I can see the folders that I've created a long time ago but nothing is in them. I read a couple of threads saying that I should enable labels but I'm not sure how to do that on the Incredible. I don't have that option under "menu" for it.

So I am sitting here today and i jump in my gmail and notice that the emails i sent are still pending and say " sending ". So I hop in my comcast acct and send them and i find out they received them finally. So I go into my gmail acct and send myself an email on my comcast acct. Its been a solid hour and i got nothing. i never use my gmail but i would like this fixed as i plan to use it. Sorry if duplicate thread, i searched around.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi just got my behold 2 & was so frustrated about not being able to delete all my unwanted emails all at once...what a terrible feature not to have. but i found the solution...just go to market & download the "K9" application & it's done. you can select all emails, then delete AND they don't go to a "junk" folder...they are gone for good. maybe everyone knows about K9 already but i just had to share this wonderful information for anyone encountering this!!

I tried deleting and setting up the account again. It seems to accept the pop/outgoing information. However, I get a message after submitting the SMTP information stating "unable to connect to the mail server, server not responding." Is there another email program I could try?

I can send and receive email through Exchange and I can see emails in my Inbox, the problem is I never keep any emails in my inbox, they always go into separate folders and those ones I can't see. I can see and switch to the different folders but there appears to be nothing in them.
I'm using Samsung Email simply because it came on the phone and seems to be able to do gmail, hotmail and exchange all in one.
Android 2.1, unrooted. Anyone come across this issue or have any ideas?
Am looking for some help have had an issue on more than 1 occasion. Here goes hopefully i will explain it clearly . When receiving .jpg files via emails i am having problems and have had from day one is i cant seem to open the images through the phone. I have a image of the Android man in green in the emails with the filename eg car.jpg have tried clicking on it to open but no joy plz plz do you know what is wrong. Xperia x10.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI setup my Droid mail system with the Yahoo IMAP servers and everything seemed to be working fine.The only issue is when I send an email from the droid.I sent a test mail from the Droid and it worked fine.A couple of hours later, I checked my sent mail folder on Yahoo Mail on the PC and I had like 15 extra sent mails.It seems to add one every time the Droid checks for new mail, until I delete the sent mail of the droid.Any ideas?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've been lurking since I got my VZW Droid, and decided to join up so I could get an answer. From day 1 my Droid has been re-recieving the same 5 emails! I get other new email fine, but these 5 just keep coming back! When I get them I select them all and click "Mark Read" and they all change from white to grey, but then maybe an hour later I get the notification and they are all white again! I suppose I could just delete them from my email completely. (This is with a Hotmail account by the way).

I've tried waiting, but it never goes through. I eventually go and delete this "Sending" email from the Outbox. However, I'm able to send/receive with the regular Email client that's set up to my work's Exchange server.

That it keeps message history in your contacts is in and of itself reason enough, but the final straw was when I just tried to save an email only to realize THERE IS NO SAVE FOLDER!If there is an app that will allow me to save an email (right now the only folders are inbox and trash) please let me know, or this crap goes back. By the way, I don't mean save an attachment. I mean save an email. On the storm if you hit save on any type of message it goes to your saved folder. Even if you delete everything in your inbox. To delete it once you've saved it you must delete it from the saved folder.
