So I take a picture with my Droid X, and it doesn't save at all.It seems to be tied to the GPS, because if I wait for the GPS to tag the photo, then it SEEMS to work MOST of the time. Thing is, I can't wait for the GPS all of the time, I just want a point and click cam. I have tried disabling the GPS and it doesn't seem to work until I reboot the phone. Anyone else having this issue, any suggestions?

When I take pictures with my camera on my Incredible, I'm finding that none of them are saving to the SD card, even though in the camera settings, I selected the option to save to "storage card".After I take a pic, I go into my photos, and I don't see it under the SD card section, it's in the phone storage part,Any help would be appreciated!

Then I started to play with the camera taking pictures...I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to change the "save location" on the phone for when it takes the photos. I don't know whether the photos are being saved to the SD Card (like I WANT), or to the internal memory (which I don't!).
I took a bunch of photos this weekend and they are sitting in the camera folder in the gallery. How do I save them to the phone?

Im satisfied with the pic quality from posted samples. But the original has a noticeable lag when taking one pic to the next making quick shots and successive shots not very practicable. Specially since it makes moving subjects blurry. Does the Droid X camera take faster pics then the original?

Some are of the whole webpage, and sometimes there might be a couple more of the same webpage but zoomed in closer and closer. It's so weird. When I look in my photo albums on the phone, it doesn't show these images. Every time I am finished uploading pics I have to go through and delete a ton of them cause they're random images.How do I stop my phone from saving images like this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I save photos from text messages, the phone defaults to saving the pic under the same name for every photo "imagejpeg_2.jpg" I have tried a variety of things to prevent this. The phone will not let me alter the name before saving. I also removed the "Download" folder completely off my phone which contained any saved photos, thinking when I saved another pic it would default to the first photo "imagejpeg_1.jpg" and go in sequence from there.
I'm trying to prevent having to do a hard reset or using other apps for messaging.

This didn't use to be true. Something changed somewhere along the way, and now it'll save the "default action" for a little while and then it'll ask me to select again.

I downloaded and installed from the Android Market. When you first start the app, it scans your phone for media. I turned on my Droid's Wifi. The TwonkyServer Mobile was immediately visible to any DLNA or UPnP client. It took 2 minutes. No setup was involved. The UI looks pretty cool too.
I am currently on my second Eris and I am having problems with my trackball not responding and something screwy with my camera not saving my pictures.
Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?
I love my Eris but i just can't use it anymore and i feel like i will keep having problems if they keep sending me refurbs.
I can't figure out why I'm getting corrupted images when I save them in my app.In fact the thumbnail seems to be fine, but the actual image is corrupted, as if the stride value is not being set correctly.

To test i took a couple pics of my computer monitor, they are nice and bright just after camera takes the pic but when i go to albums to view them they are considerably darker. I even bumped the brightness all the way up to +3 that helped some but still dark.

But the camera still won't focus. I've installed 2.0.1 both OTA and Manually, no difference.
I think a trip to Verizon Monday is in my future. it will only focus in obscenely bright light. Any other situation it's just blurry.
Yes, my lens is clean haha.
Looks like Droid #3 will be on the way. Unless someone else has ideas I have yet to try.
So I was aware of camera problems when flashing Kaos, but I'm having trouble getting Camera 360 or Camera Magic to work.
Camera 360 lags really bad before taking the photo, and Camera Magic hangs while "saving snapshot" or whatever it says after you snap a picture.
Anyone else experience this on their Eris, kinda fustrating and embarrasing on the types of random pics the phone decides to use as album cover art? Any tips to stop this?

View 9 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone else have this issue?When I go in for a close up shot, say 20cms away, the camera focuses fine, turns green, makes a beep them shoots. All fine but when you see the preview or even go into the gallery to view the picture it is out of focus.Sometimes i have to pull back a good 50cms before it will record a focused shot. Is this the macro distance for the DHD?I know it doesn't have stabilization so I've tried this with it mounted and on timer. Still does it. But once I pull back away it behaves as it should.Hope this makes sense. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something in the settings that will eliminate this?
