Oct 13, 2012When I save photos from text messages, the phone defaults to saving the pic under the same name for every photo "imagejpeg_2.jpg" I have tried a variety of things to prevent this. The phone will not let me alter the name before saving. I also removed the "Download" folder completely off my phone which contained any saved photos, thinking when I saved another pic it would default to the first photo "imagejpeg_1.jpg" and go in sequence from there.
I'm trying to prevent having to do a hard reset or using other apps for messaging.

I've been messing with setcpu and trying out some underclocking profiles. Underclocking while the screen is off as well as reducing the CPU power has gotten me 75% battery left after 8 hours. This is with constant emails but no wireless, bluetooth, or gps. This is better than I was getting under windows mobile.

Sep 28, 2010I've had my Captivate since day one and i love it the only thing that bugs me is that if i have a pic taking portrait anytime i send it or upload to facebook it automatically changes it to landscape view and the same when recieving pics i go in and manually edit the pics so when i go to my gallery it shows them in portrait but anytime i try and send it never fails goes straight back to lanscap anyone else have this prob?

Oct 10, 2010So I take a picture with my Droid X, and it doesn't save at all.It seems to be tied to the GPS, because if I wait for the GPS to tag the photo, then it SEEMS to work MOST of the time. Thing is, I can't wait for the GPS all of the time, I just want a point and click cam. I have tried disabling the GPS and it doesn't seem to work until I reboot the phone. Anyone else having this issue, any suggestions?

Oct 11, 2010I noticed a lot of the pics that get uploaded are images of webpages I looked at on my phone.I never long pressed and saved them. Some are of the whole webpage, and sometimes there might be a couple more of the same webpage but zoomed in closer and closer. It's so weird. When I look in my photo albums on the phone, it doesn't show these images. Nov 10, 2010A few friends of mine purchased the Fascinate after I got one. I've been supporting their and try to keep them loaded up with all the same customizations that I use. I am wondering if there is a way to export my settings (like saving with Clockwork) but having all of my personal information wiped from the build. Is this possible? Nov 7, 2010So I been taking pics with my EPIC 4G and I thought it was supposed to be one of the best on the market. Well I have to take a few pics to try to get a decent pic. Most come out blurry to slightly blurry. My old Sony Erickson took better pics with lil fuss. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? Am I supposed to tap it and wait for it to focus before taking a pic? Even with that it comes out a lil blurry.

Sep 4, 2010Some time ago...I estimate a week at most, I received an error when simply saving a file from my Browser, stating there was not enough space to do so. Knowing my phone had mre than adequate space, I presumed it was just an error with my browser.
Trying again with a different internet browser, I was met again with the same dilema. To make matters worse, I cannot permanently delete picture files from the default viewer on my phone. Queerily, I can delete them, only to have the pictures return hours later. To make my situation more unusual; Upon viewing the SD card mounted on my laptop, I can move, add & delete any form of files with ease. Even saving/deleting other files using different apps (Videobox, for example) gives me no hassle whatsoever.
One solution I'm willing, but at the same time reluctant to try is to reset my phone entirely to it's factory default setting (prior to backing up all of my SD card's data, of course)
