So I was aware of camera problems when flashing Kaos, but I'm having trouble getting Camera 360 or Camera Magic to work.
Camera 360 lags really bad before taking the photo, and Camera Magic hangs while "saving snapshot" or whatever it says after you snap a picture.

Right now I'm running KaosFroyo V37 and I'm loving it, but I don't like the stock android camera application. Is there any way I could get HTC's sense ui camera back onto my phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am currently on my second Eris and I am having problems with my trackball not responding and something screwy with my camera not saving my pictures.
Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?
I love my Eris but i just can't use it anymore and i feel like i will keep having problems if they keep sending me refurbs.

I put the camera object to take picture in a loop and none of the time, the take picture work.
All, I've googled over and over again to find a solution and while I found a bug regarding camera release, etc I can not for the life of me seem to get the cam code to work. Every time I executed takePicture the system simply hangs, sometimes it calls the PictureCallback, but most of the time it simply hangs.Weird issues about not being able to read /data/ap_gain.bin files, etc

Perhaps even in folders such as "drafts". My old cheap Nokia could do this. When I now get an incoming message I can only delete it or leave it in the "inbox".

When it happens - and I've encountered it several times in a few days now - no camera application can access the camera. A power cycle is needed to recover from this locked camera state.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI love LauncherPro and Froyo, but every time I use a ROM for a few days, LP starts to bug out on me. The problem occurs when I wake up the phone or when I return to the home screen after using a program for awhile.
I have tweaked my settings quite a bit, and I can't seem to avoid this kind of behavior. My overclock settings are 785-245 and I have tried messing with the LP settings, but I can't find that golden combination.
Lots of people say LP is the best option for Froyo, and I certainly like it best... when it's working. So could someone who is having no problems please share the secret to your success?
I have not had any problems with connection but cannot get the dadblame phone to light up while on a call. I'm a realtor and bought a Jawbone Icon (which has been great) so that I can see my calendar while talking to someone, but if I'm talking to someone using the Bluetooth, once the screen goes off, it ain't coming back. I can turn the earpiece off and then wave my hand in front of the proximity sensor and then it will light up, but for obvious reasons, that don't make me happy.

View 22 Replies View RelatedI know that kaos is OC'd to 710 by default, but has anyone tried setting their main SetCPU profile to a lower frequency? Tonight I lowered mine to 245/528 to see what it'd be like, and I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference. Maybe some of my LauncherPro animations aren't as smooth, but that might just be in my head.
Haven't tested this beyond a few hours or with heavy multitasking, but I think I might run with it for a while and see what happens.
UPDATE: Getting Linpack scores around 3.5, which isn't as high as the 4.5+ I was getting before, but is just as high as or higher than the scores I've gotten on most other ROMs (including xtr).
Anybody have any good themes for Kaosfroyo v29?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just Flashed to KaosFroyo V37 from White Widow. So far the Froyo seems to be much faster and smoother than WW. My only issue is that I cannot get Ford's Sync to pair with the phone on this ROM. It has worked on every 2.1 ROM that I have used. It gets to the point where you enter the PIN into the phone and then the connect process crashes.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI finally rooted my Eris and installed KaosFroyo. All seems ok, had some issues to deal with, but got them figured out. Yesterday, I wanted to connect to my slingplayer, but my app doesn't work. It just starts, then disappears. I never get a screen up. Any ideas, or is there a log somewhere on why it might be crashing or whatever is actually happening.I also tried to move it to the SD card in Manage Applications and it says it is copy protected. Not sure if that has any bearing on this, but thought I'd mention it.I do like the KaosFroyo and really didn't want to start over with a different ROM.

Pulled the trigger last night on both rooting and flahsing KaosFroyo v30.... LOVE IT! much faster than 2.1 OTA with sense. I do miss my sense widgets though So what are my options?

Does KaosFroyo v34 have SetCPU built in? Or is it even compatible with this kernel? If yes, where do I find it? I really want to tweak things to see if I can get this battery to last longer.
Also, any idea how to set a CA/user certificates in: Settings>Wireless & Networks>VPN Settings>Add VPN>Add OpenVPN VPN (when I select either of those, the only option I have is "Cancel")
I have tried the default messaging app and I have tried handcent, and it always does a force close.

what gives?
