Motorola Droid :: Updated Gallery - Camera Folder?
Apr 9, 2010I have the updated gallery now for my Droid and I see the new folders, but the folder which had all the pictures I took with my phone's camera is now gone. If I go into the camera, I can see the pictures that way, but there used to be a "Camera" folder in the Gallery.

Aug 3, 2010I have done some searches and cannot come with the answer I need. All the photos I take are moved to the SD card and not available to the gallery. It seem they stay in the gallery for about a day and then they are moved. I cannot figure out how to bring them back to the gallery or to so that I can send them out or edit them with the phones photoshop. The photos taken with the camera are on the SD card in the DCIM file while the downloaded photos are in the download file but I am not finding any menue that allows me to retrieve them back to the gallery.

2: Music, despite me manually dragging some albums over from my laptop, be it in its own folder for the album title or stuffed into one folder called Albums, the music app or Cubed cannot see them, and when I open Cubed it says there are no playlists and dies a death, doesn't give me the opportunity to search for songs on the phone and create one!
Are these issues that have been documented elsewhere? Anyone experience anything similar? Should I be placing my music in one specific folder? the photos should not be disapearing since the phone dictates where they are kept so this one is irritating me!
Motorola Droid :: Cannot View Resolution Photos In 2.1 Gallery
Apr 1, 2010I have photos I took with my 10mp camera and put them on my droid and before I updated to 2.1 when I zoomed in, it didn't lose any resolution. Now with 2.1 when I zoom in it looks blurry. So now I can't view the photos in it's full resolution.

Aug 1, 2010Just got my new Droid X on Saturday, and started playing with it...first installing LauncherPro, and Beautiful Widgets.
Then I started to play with the camera taking pictures...I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to change the "save location" on the phone for when it takes the photos. I don't know whether the photos are being saved to the SD Card (like I WANT), or to the internal memory (which I don't!).

Oct 10, 2010So I take a picture with my Droid X, and it doesn't save at all.It seems to be tied to the GPS, because if I wait for the GPS to tag the photo, then it SEEMS to work MOST of the time. Thing is, I can't wait for the GPS all of the time, I just want a point and click cam. I have tried disabling the GPS and it doesn't seem to work until I reboot the phone. Anyone else having this issue, any suggestions?

Why is it that when I open my photo gallery there are more than just the "all photos" folder. Seems when I take a picture, or save one off the Internet or transfer the pics off my old phone,that it makes a new folder for each different set of pics and puts all the pics in the "all pictures"folder. Is there any way I can just have the "all pictures" folder as the only one?

Aug 10, 2010When I open my gallery to look at the actual photos I have taken, I have about 50 other "picture" folders showing up that are really music folders that just happen to have album art in them.
I DO NOT want to use the .nomedia or ".foldername" method because then my music player will not see and be able to display the album art. I just want the Gallery app to ignore pictures in the music folder. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Jul 19, 2010I'm having problems trying to use files after moving them.
Example:
I took a bunch of pictures at an event, the created a folder for that event and moved the pictures into it. I can still open the pictures one at a tiem by navigsting too them, but the galleary app still shows the thumbs, but cannot find them.
Example 2:
I downloaded an mp3 for a ring tone, and while in the downloads folder the music player found it and I was able to set it at a ring tone. But I tried to create a ringtones folder, and then music could not find it, and just playing it by opening the file would not allow me to set a ring tone.
So how does this work? I have seen references here to folders called Media and ring tones, but I see nothing like that in the file system on my phone. Where does one put music if they want to actually use the music player?
Is the DCIM folder the ONLY one that works with the photo gallery? Is the Downloads folder the ONLY one that works with the music player?

May 25, 2010Anyone else have this problem? I take a photo and its not there and takes opening and closing the gallery a few times. Sometimes I have to take another photo and then they both show up. Is this a bug with 2.1 or is there a fix for this?

Nov 14, 2010For everyone who has questions regarding the quality of the Fascinate's camera, I propose this thread be sticky'd so that everyone has one thread to view and/or admire the quality of the shots from various forum members. These shots have to be unprocessed though! Be honest.I'm an avid photographer who loves his Fascinate and all the tricks it can do. I thought of something on the drive home last night, and this is my first contribution.The quality is pretty damn good, not too much noise considering the picture was taken in the dark. I loved how the picture came out. I'll try getting a broader sweep of the needle next time, but that involves revving the car.For those of you who want similar shots, place the camera into night shot mode. This involves a very very steady hand, or a nice stable surface. From a few trial shots, the camera's shutter speed in night shot mode is still pretty fast from what I saw. If you want similar effects like the photo below, I suggest taking the picture right before the action you want happens. Granted, that is no easy task sometimes.
This picture is another one of my favorite shots. The camera happened to set the shutter speed perfectly for a rolling shot. This was taken behind my window, so the quality isn't as good as could be. I'm extremely happy with the shot though.Oh and as a disclaimer, both pictures have been compressed due to Facebook's uploader The actual file looks much nicer IMHO of course

However, I noticed there is no option to take widescreen photos (takes up the whole screen of the Droid X) like the stock Camera app. I can take a photo with Camera first, then import it in the other app, but that's just more work.
