HTC Incredible : Transferring Camera Pics To SD Card
Jul 31, 2010In store Verizon and customer service for over an hour led me to believe that pictures taken on my camera can NOT be transferred to the SD card that is installed. Either that is Horrible or the 4 reps I showed/spoke with are morons. I have 30 pics on my phone that I want sent to the card so I can do a hard reset. Any ideas?

May 31, 2010When I take pictures with my camera on my Incredible, I'm finding that none of them are saving to the SD card, even though in the camera settings, I selected the option to save to "storage card".After I take a pic, I go into my photos, and I don't see it under the SD card section, it's in the phone storage part,Any help would be appreciated!

Jul 29, 2010I thought it was just the screen being so large but now i've realized that this camera is permanently zoomed. Its not because the camera sticks out a few mm either... In order take pictures I have to physically take a couple steps away from what I am trying to take... Has anybody else noticed this? At first I thought it maybe a hardware issue with the camera but I think this maybe related to the software maybe permanetnly digitally zoomed in?

Aug 26, 2010on the camera in OS 2.1 the camera is permenantly zoomed in... if you want to take a picture you have to litterally back up a few steps.... 2.2 froyo has fixed this issue but ONLY for the camera... not the video... for example I took a picture in camera mode, of a glass that took up the whole screen and just fit in the picture... i then switched to video camera mode and didn't change anything else and the video then expanded across the whole screen and was zoomed in and only half the glass could be captured!!! I just want to point this out and any of you guys can feel free to give it a try... just wanted you all to know i'm not crazy! and this is not a hardware issue like i initially though this is simply a software issue... and when the camera is stretched across the screen this causes it to be permenantly zoomed ... so i'm happy 2.2 fixed this for the camera mode but disapointed it's still in the video recording... but it proves my point... now i'm going to try to upload my examples...

Aug 22, 2010For some reason my Incredible won't mount both the internal phone storage and the SD card storage at the same time. What I mean is...when I plug my phone into my PC I only get a single popup asking to mount the phone's SD card storage, but not the internal phone storage.If I remove the SD card (or unmount the SD card using menus on the phone) and then toggle the connection type from Disk Drive, to Charge only, and then back to Disk Drive (to burp the connection), the internal phone storage will mount, but the SD card won't mount because it has been removed.When I connect my wife's incredible, my computer sees both the SD card storage and the internal storage (as expected) and gives me prompts for both. I took the SD card from the problematic phone and put it in the "good" phone and there are no issues at all (IE.. both the internal storage and SD storage mount). This of course means there is no issue with the SD card.

May 13, 2010So if I do a Factory Reset on the phone it still has some of the old photos/videos I took, which leads me to believe it doesn't fully clear the device of everything, just the settings that I changed are returned to their factory defaults (duh!).I was curious if I do the Clear Storage option, which means turning off the device and holding one of the volume toggles while holding the power button - would that mean that the entire Android OS would be removed, or does it mean it does a format of the phones entire partition and re-installs Android (similar to a reformat/recovery partition on a computer)? Aug 28, 2010I can't figure out how to turn off a2dp. In my car, the DInc is plugged into an FM transmitter and paired with my BT headset. The problem is the audio I'm playing comes through my headset instead of the car stereo. No problem says I. I go into the bluetooth settings for my particular headset while it's paired and uncheck the box that tells it to play audio through my headset. Problem is solved. Wrong. The setting doesn't stick.
The next time I got in my car and paired my headset, it started playing through the headset. This time I dug through the menus and made doubly sure that I had ticked the box. I backed all the way out to the home screen and the setting seemed to have stuck. Then I went all the way back into the menu and the settings again. The setting was still there and seemed to have stuck. Wrong. Turned the headset off and turned it back on again. Same thing. A2dp turned back on. How can I permanently disable this? I'm using a BlueAnt T1 if that makes any difference.

Nov 21, 2010Does anyone else have this issue?When I go in for a close up shot, say 20cms away, the camera focuses fine, turns green, makes a beep them shoots. All fine but when you see the preview or even go into the gallery to view the picture it is out of focus.Sometimes i have to pull back a good 50cms before it will record a focused shot. Is this the macro distance for the DHD?I know it doesn't have stabilization so I've tried this with it mounted and on timer. Still does it. But once I pull back away it behaves as it should.Hope this makes sense. Am I doing something wrong? Is there something in the settings that will eliminate this?

But the original has a noticeable lag when taking one pic to the next making quick shots and successive shots not very practicable. Specially since it makes moving subjects blurry. Oct 10, 2010So I take a picture with my Droid X, and it doesn't save at all.It seems to be tied to the GPS, because if I wait for the GPS to tag the photo, then it SEEMS to work MOST of the time. Thing is, I can't wait for the GPS all of the time, I just want a point and click cam. I have tried disabling the GPS and it doesn't seem to work until I reboot the phone. Anyone else having this issue, any suggestions?

Jul 2, 2010I am using Gmail. When I receive an e-mail, I get the same e-mail twice one in the HTC mail box and the other in the Google mail box. I have tried to delete the HTC mail but it will not allow me. If I go to manage applications and choose HTC mail, I can choose forced stop which temporarily stops the double e-mail. It will always revert back however to receving e-mails. Is there a way to permanently stop HTC mail or delete it permanently?

Sep 10, 2011So the title may be a bit hard to comprehend but the gist of it is that I turned on full device encryption and since then when I transfer the pics off the phone to a computer they cannot be viewed. The message I get is corrupted metadata, the sizes on them seem right, I have not tried to view the exif data through a utility yet to see what exactly is corrupted.
I can still see the pics on the device, and share them online, but when I copy them off of the device they are broken. I've tried a couple of jpg recovery tools without any luck.
Most similar posts I've seen related to this is a corrupted sd cared (but this is on the internal one and only started after I turned encryption on).
And to confuse things a bit more, if I email the pic off it works correctly. So the problem seems to be just directly pulling them off the device, or browsing them when they are on the phone but connected to a machine. Same thing happens in linux and windows with various software.

Dec 9, 2009I am having is when I try to send a picture through picture message I get an error saying message size limit reached, you cannot attach this to your message. So in order to send a picture this way do I have to either:
a. change my camera settings to lower resolution?
b. is there a program or setting to automatically send a smaller image and keep my high res photo?

i'm not sure you will give support for such cheep phones, but i'm having a bit of a trouble with it... everything is working fine except the camera, video, sound recording and other features which require data storage. there are such types of error messages:
"please insert an sd card before using the camera" "your phone does not have an SD card inserted"
it does not come with an SD card and i haven't installed one yet, so when i go to "settings -> sd card and phone storage" it only shows the available "internal phone storage = 50MB"
is there a way to use/enable the internal phone storage for lets say - record some audio or make a couple of photos, instead of the non-existent SD card or does it really need one installed ?
it has 256MB RAM / 256MB ROM by specification.
