HTC Droid Eris :: Uploading Pics To PC / Avoid Saving Random Images

I noticed a lot of the pics that get uploaded are images of webpages I looked at on my phone.I never long pressed and saved them. Some are of the whole webpage, and sometimes there might be a couple more of the same webpage but zoomed in closer and closer. It's so weird. When I look in my photo albums on the phone, it doesn't show these images. Every time I am finished uploading pics I have to go through and delete a ton of them cause they're random images.How do I stop my phone from saving images like this?

At one time I figured out how to do this, and successfully downloaded some lovely images from the browser on my X that I use as wallpaper. But I am having a senior moment and can't for the life of me make it work again!

Anyone else experience this on their Eris, kinda fustrating and embarrasing on the types of random pics the phone decides to use as album cover art? Any tips to stop this?

This problem happened on my last Droid and I see something as simple as this is still a huge problem.Any picture you have on your phone that was taken in portrait always gets rotated 90 CCW...wtf is this? It's not the facebook app because when I try to set any of the pictures I have as wallpapers they all get rotated 90 degrees CCW.

This problem happened on my last Droid and I see something as simple as this is still a huge problem. Any picture you have on your phone that was taken in portrait always gets rotated 90 CCW...wtf is this? I cant figure out how to save a pic that is sent to me via text. I can click the pic, and it opens full screen, but I cant find a way to save the object or save the pic or file or anything... Is this no longer an option with the Droid X??

So I take a picture with my Droid X, and it doesn't save at all.It seems to be tied to the GPS, because if I wait for the GPS to tag the photo, then it SEEMS to work MOST of the time. Thing is, I can't wait for the GPS all of the time, I just want a point and click cam. I have tried disabling the GPS and it doesn't seem to work until I reboot the phone. Anyone else having this issue, any suggestions?

I use sycmypics for LPP People widget. Everytime I sync smp saves the photos to my "All Photos" file in the gallery - 368 photos at present, many duplicates.
1. Can this be stopped?
2. Is there an easy way to select multiple photos and delete en mass? Deleting several photos from the Gallery takes forever - you get returned to the top of the list after every deletion.

What would be some reasons i cannot download pics i receive through text? I get a transient failure, but i have viewed them before. Same with uploading to Facebook. i get an error, but once again, i have uploaded them before, the first week i had the phone.

I'm switching over from iPhone 4 to Android Galaxy Nexus. Any good app is for uploading and downloading pics between the phone and a PC? I want to setup albums on phone too so that related pics are kept together.

I finally found how to stop this tool from uploading pics automatically. I was so relieved to find this solution because Picasa was starting to upload pics that I don't even remember taking.
On your phone: go to---->
1) settings
2) accounts and sync
3) click on your gmail account
4) uncheck Sync Picasa Web Albums (and for good measure if you want also uncheck Sync Instant Upload and Sync Google Photos)
5) now hit back and sync all
Now go into your gallery and the folder that says 'Instant Upload' should be gone.

I know there are the standard features that allow most android users to send their images or videos like bluetooth, fb, flickr, email, picasa etc but I was wondering if it's possible to upload videos and images to different file saving servers (for example rapidshare or lockerz or any of the million other filesaving servers out there). If this is at all possible could someone explain how?I'm on an HTC Incredible for the record.

Is there an application in the Market that will make it possible to upload direct from the camera to enable images to be inserted into forums. Either direct into the forum post, or via a hosting site like imageshack.

When I take pictures with my camera on my Incredible, I'm finding that none of them are saving to the SD card, even though in the camera settings, I selected the option to save to "storage card".After I take a pic, I go into my photos, and I don't see it under the SD card section, it's in the phone storage part,Any help would be appreciated!

When I save photos from text messages, the phone defaults to saving the pic under the same name for every photo "imagejpeg_2.jpg" I have tried a variety of things to prevent this. The phone will not let me alter the name before saving. I also removed the "Download" folder completely off my phone which contained any saved photos, thinking when I saved another pic it would default to the first photo "imagejpeg_1.jpg" and go in sequence from there.
I'm trying to prevent having to do a hard reset or using other apps for messaging.

Great phone and apart from the speakers a big step up from my existing Nokia 5800.

The only problem I can't workout or find a solution from searching the threads is how to copy pictures/images from the web (on my desire) to use as, say, a wallpaper.
For instance I have pics on Picasa web albums, which I want on my phone.

My phone is not rooted and I want to figure out where snapchats are saved so I can open them again, Ive looked for the "received_image_snaps" and it doesnt exist. There is only a "my media" folder. Ive tried snap grapple as well and that didnt work. How to save them a different way?

I am currently on my second Eris and I am having problems with my trackball not responding and something screwy with my camera not saving my pictures.
Right now I would rather pay to downgrade to another phone like a BB or even pay full retail value for a completely different Droid because I am afraid if they send me another Eris it is just going to break again.
If I call VZW and talk to them, will they send me another Eris that will most likely to break or will they send me a D1 or an Incredible?
I love my Eris but i just can't use it anymore and i feel like i will keep having problems if they keep sending me refurbs.

159mb seems like no space at all. Seems like stuff should install on the SD card. I know you can if you root, but you shouldn't have to. I clear the cache on apps regularly. How else can we avoid filling up our internal memory?

I have a Galaxy S4 and every time I go to sync my photos there are a ton of random pictures that I have not taken or taken screen shots of. This is really annoying and there are pictures that I definitely do not want on my phone that are showing up. The odd thing is these pictures do not show up in my actual gallery on my phone, only when I sync it to my computer.

Since 2.2 I have been unable to download anything and only get an error message after it takes you to the download screen. This is happening on the stock browser as well as skyfire. Am I missing something? This worked fine in 2.1.
