With any of the homescreen replacement apps (Launcher 2.1, Home++, Sweeter Home Preview 2) my phone refuses to save which homescreen I want to be default for when I hit the "Home" button. This didn't use to be true. Something changed somewhere along the way, and now it'll save the "default action" for a little while and then it'll ask me to select again.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI actually noticed this on V2 leak as well when I set up my favorites list, and then select that person for the first time, I'm prompted to set up a default action - that default is never saved, and I have to repeat those steps in order to dial a number - anyone have this problem? Is there a step I'm missing?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I take a picture with my Droid X, and it doesn't save at all.It seems to be tied to the GPS, because if I wait for the GPS to tag the photo, then it SEEMS to work MOST of the time. Thing is, I can't wait for the GPS all of the time, I just want a point and click cam. I have tried disabling the GPS and it doesn't seem to work until I reboot the phone. Anyone else having this issue, any suggestions?

I cant get past it, reset the phone and it came back right away! I hope this thing isnt bricked! Battery is sitting next to the phone for the next 15 minutes, crossing my fingers!

The only problem is that I have to force quit my default homescreen (in this case it's called "LG Homescreen")--task-killers won't work and I have to go into the application settings to force it. Fine. But every time I reboot my phone it runs along side of adw and I want only adw when the phone boots. I already set adw as my default homscreen, no change.

(I got it from bais on MoDaCo). It is an apk and it has been tested and proven to work on FroYo and �clair (not sure about Cupcake/Donut). Install through adb or a file explorer. I tried it out, not too bad. Still prefer LauncherPro but I can show this off if an iPhone fanboy talks about how great iPhone UI is. Couple of notes: -To edit bottom dock, go into menu, press edit, this allows you to move icons around between dock and menu. -To edit order of homescreens or # of homescreens, go home, press menu and then edit. Couple of flaws: -Cannot set your own icons for bottom dock (you can change which apps are there but cannot use custom icons). Cannot set a default homescreen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to remove an ImageButton's background in only the default state. I'd like the pressed and selected states to behave as usual so that they look correct on different devices, which use different colors for the pressed and selected states.
Is there any way to set an ImageButton's background default state's drawable without affecting the pressed and selected states?
I've tried to do this with a selector, but it does not appear to allow you to use the default drawables for some states - you have to set all the states yourself. Since there's no API to retrieve the device's default pressed/selected drawables, I don't know what to set the pressed/selected states to.
I also tried getting the StateListDrawable object for the button that the system creates when you are not using a selector and then modify it change the default state. That didn't work either.
I seems that on Android, if you want to change the drawable for one state of a button, then you must set all the states, and thus cannot preserve the default drawables for the other states. Is this correct?
I've, accidentally, deleted default shortcuts on right homescreen (GPS, Wi-Fi, bluetooth & wibe)!
How can I get it back? Tryed via shortcuts, but nothing.
Just wondering what apps you guys have uninstalled fromm your rooted droids... I'm really getting annoyed by some of these apps like google talk storage, alarm clock, and calender launching themselves when they have no business at all running.And even regular apps do this which baffles me why people make apps that launch themselves I wish we had user acccount control I bet someone will make this type of app for rooted devices one day.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWell we've pretty much all heard by now that 2.1 will not be including any more than 3 Home screens. I was REALLY hoping for 5, as 3 is not enough and I'd like more room to play with Widgets. Even with folders and some snazzy organizing it's still not great.
What's the status on Home Screen Replacement Apps? All I know about it Home++ but last I read it was pretty buggy and Force Closed quite a bit. I'm not looking for anything crazy I really just simply want more than 3 screens, 5-7 ideally...are there any apps out there that handle just this?
Apparently rooting and using custom ROMs hasn't solved this issue. Before I rooted my phone I was having the issue that, despite checking the "Use by default for this action" box, my phone just plain refused to save what homescreen app to go to when I tap the "Home" button.I've tried clearing the cache. I've done factory resets and data wipes (although I did restore "all apps with data" with Titanium Backup). I've tried using the Home Switcher app. Nothing works.Right now my phone is running the current version of BB, ChevyNo1's 1.0Ghz 5 slot update.zip for OC, and am using AdamZ's Smoked glass theme. I want to use the "HelixLauncher" app as my default homescreen, but it's rather obnoxious having to constantly select it when I hit the home button (it'll save my default action for a few clicks, and then I'll have to set it again).

Har har we all knew that wasn't happening that quick. I've got my 3 homescreens maxed, and I really would like to use a homescreen app to have more. I don't want to sacrifice stability and I don't need crazy features, I'm simply looking to just go up to 5-7 screens so I can test some larger widgets out in the meantime. View 15 Replies View RelatedI've done the searching and nothing has solved my problem and the last time this was brought as far as I can tell was back in December. My issue is that there is no consistent time when this happens. Sometimes it happens as I unlock the homescreen, as I'm exiting out of an application, as I rotate the screen, and even as I'm shifting between home screens. It also happens randomly based off of my last reset. Since it started (about a month ago) it has happened as long as 3 days after my last reset and sometimes as soon as 20 minutes after. I've tried installing the Home++ application but that did not solve the problem either. Does anyone know of a setting or way to bring the icons back without having to reset the phone? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSearched and couldn't find anything on this. Occasionally when i unlock the phone, all of my homescreen widgets are gone. Nothing but the wallpaper is visible. It usually happens when i am browsing on Dolphin and the screen times out. Then i hit the unlock button, swipe across to unlock, and when i hit home key, all apps are gone. Must reboot to get widgets back. Has anyone had this problem or know what to do to fix it?

I like LP better because of the scrollable bar bit when I hit the home key or back up to home, about 50+% of the time it takes ten seconds to redraw. I do ude widgets but it should not be this bad. In settings I tried keeping LP in memory, I set high mem useage and many of the other options and its the same. I even uninstalled wiped cache pulled battery and its the same. Is there a setting config I should be using, or not?
