Has any one else noticed a beep after a minute during a call.
this only started happening after the 2.1 update. the beep sounds like i am getting another call. also phone calls seem to be draining battery rather fast lately, a three minute phone call will drop my battery from half to yellow.

Ok, I'm quite confused. I've had my Samsung Captivate for about 4 days now, and today when i plugged it in mid-day to charge (om nom nom battery life) it started emitting random, extremely obnoxious high-pitched beeps about 2 times per minute. It does it whether or not it's on A/C power, it even does it when the phone's powered off but the battery's in there, I just don't understand why or how to stop it.
Phone is awesome otherwise! Anyone having this issue/ know where it's coming from?
I own the Samsung Facinate and when the phone loses and regains signal it begins beeping. Currently working out of town where there is very little signal and it is driving me and my coworker crazy. How can I turn this off?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I first got my Droid, I would often hear a tea kettle going off in the background with pitch changes, like a plane flying over head. Needless to say, I wasn't going to put up with the distracting noises, especially with a brand new phone. So, Verizon replaced the device. Four months later, I'm still having the same problem. The problem isn't that bad but I should hear such noises, regardless. Verizon says they haven't heard of such an issue but will replace the device again. Has anyone else noticed these noises while on a phone call?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a timer set and it beeps when its done. if you have the timer page open, a popup comes up that says dismiss. however, if you aren't on the timerpage and you are doing something else when it goes off, it will just keep beeping and there is no button to shut it off!!!! are you kidding me? this is the worst glitch i have found on this phone.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter i installed 2.2 on my desire sometimes the call beep (the one beeping when you wait for the other dude to answer) keeps on beeping even after the other person answers and even after the call ends and we both hang up. The beep continues till i turn off the phone and restart it again. One of my friends have this problem as well so i assume there are others out there with the same problem.
Anyone got a solution to this problem?
I'm a newish Droid user, came from Eris. While I love the power of the phone and the capabilities, the actual phone is not exciting at all and I miss the Eris if only for the actual phone. I am constantly told I am hard to hear; usually they say I am grainy, muffled, or tinny sounding. Are there any apps I can use to help make call quality better? I have purchased a very expensive blue tooth, call quality is still bad. Now, with a particular friend, they hear a very annoying beeping sound when talking to me. And only me. I don't hear it but the only time they hear this sound is when talking to me and it's been since I got the Droid (about 2 weeks ago). Any ideas of what this is and how to fix it?

I told her to make sure it is resting against her cheek so that her cheek isn't randomly hitting buttons on the dial pad but that still doesn't help.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble with almost all my outgoing calls. It's taken me up to 4 calls to one person just to finish a short conversation. It usually starts with the person not being able to hear me and then there's a beep and the call is gone. I talked with a Verizon tech last night and she said my longest call (to her) lasted 53 seconds before she couldn't hear me anymore.
This morning I called my mom to test the hair theory (can't have hair between the phone and your face). We were able to talk for 3 mins and 17 secs before I lost the call. The only things different were the beep sounded and we were still able to talk, so evidently the beeping doesn't signal that I'm about to lose the call (I think we talked for a minute more before losing the call) and I don't think there was ever a point where she couldn't hear me -- the call just dropped.
Some of the past posting I've read have indicated that people have gone through multiple Droids (I think one person posted he was on his 4th) and was still having problems.
Verizon is sending me another Droid, but I'm not holding out a lot of hope because of all the postings I've read about this problem. I'm looking for some positive remarks about phone calls -- anyone have some and care to share?
Oh and Verizon rep also said the new Droid they are sending me is the final one. If I have problems with it I either have to put up with it or pay full price for a different phone -- does that sound right?
I have been happy with my Incredible up to this point. I recently placed a call to someone, and when the call became connected I heard a loud beeping sound constantly and the person on the other line couldn't hear me. I had installed an app, Task Killer, prior to this so I naturally thought this was affected. I shut down the app, placed the call again, and the same thing happened. I had to reset the battery on the phone to fix this problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI could swear I had de-selected a "noise cancellation" option in a menue somewhere in an effort to get my Droid to sound better during calls, but i can't for my life find it. (-Was I tripping?) Since then, I've removed my cheap-ass made-by-not-Motorola case after realizing (via this forum) that it was covering up the exterior microphone. Calls still sound like crap to me, but at least people can hear me better, I think. Anyway, if there's the noise cancellation opt and I wasn't dreaming or severely confused, can someone point me in the direction of that?

View 4 Replies View Relatedjust wondering if this is normal or not, someone told me it is normal for the droid.for instance - when your on the home screen and you hold the camera button down, it'll make about 3-clicks when starting up. it also makes the clicking noise when it is focusing before taking the photo. the most noticable is when using an app like shopsavvy or barcode scanner are these apps supposed to be focusing back and forth non stop? and if so, is it 'normal' for that clicking noise to go non-stop while it is focusing back and forth?

I've tried lowering the volume but it still seems to be doing it. Not to mention, even with the audio turned all the way up it's hard to hear the people I'm talking to.
View 15 Replies View Relatedon my droid x whenever the phone vibrates either when im clicking something, getting a text or a incoming call. the phone makes a buzz noise. also i noticed the phone does not vibrate as heavy as it should and is not as noticable when its in your pocket with the sound off. i used a droid 1 and a droid incredible in the past and both of those the vibration was quieter. so im wondering are everyones droid x like this or does mine just have a defective vibration mechanism or something?

However can someone tell me how to turn off the clicking noise when I press a letter? I like the vibrate to let me know that I touched it but could do without the Storm-esque click. View 1 Replies View RelatedIf you have your droid closed, and you press the down firmly where the search button is located does your droid make a clicking noise like its hitting the top of the keyboard? when i push the right side of the phone firmly it makes the noise and feels looser. is this because i took the plastic off the back of the keyboard?
if i want to exchange at best buy should i use their insurance? if i do exchange should i just tell them it reboots in case they dont want to replace because of this noise? Or is this noise/touching normal?
