I have a Droid Razr. When I'm on the phone I have to just keep looking at my phone to see if I got a text. How can I change it so I can hear something to notify me?

When ever i make calls from my X10. Recievers are hearing a sharp static noise @ their end. this problem has been discussed in length in below forum http://android forums .com /sony-ericsson -xperia-x10/113115-xperia-x10-problem-receivers-other-end-hearing-sharp-noise-emitted-x10-during-calls.html#post1436896 I have taken up this issue with my SE service center in INdia. and they have given me till now 3 replacement mobiles. In all the three the same problem persists. Is there any answer for this problem in SE X10 mobiles? even the service center have admitted of this problem in X10. check the thread you will come to knw.Waititng for a proper rely from SE team on this issue in X10.

Buzz again and Droid! Again. So I think I got two texts when I have one. I don't have handecent or anything. I'm geting a lot of bugs ones I wasn't expecting and its testing me on if I want to keep the phone. Right now its a love and hate thing
View 11 Replies View RelatedI need pop-up notifications of missed voice calls and SMS text messages. The pop-up should remain on the screen until dismissed/acknowledged. If the screen times out, I would like the message to reappear after I log in to the phone. Generally I can't get my phone out quickly enough to see the original message. I can't tell whether I've missed a call or a text message, so I have to check both. I find the missed call format especially unfriendly. I'm using Calendar Event Reminder and loving it. It would be great to find soemthing that works similarly for calls and text messages.
I must have installed some app or selected some option. About 5 minutes after missing a text message the phone produces an very annoying sound. I hope that when I install a new notification app or setting that this annoyance will go away.
I'm not sure if this was ever addressed but my EVO doesn't notify me of a new text while I'm on a call. Is there even an option for us to receive an alert of a new text while we're on the phone?

Ive never noticed this before my phone updated to the new 2.2 software and my old nokia used to give a little beep but the desire is a full blown message tone in your ear! Makes me jump everytime. Ive started putting my phone on vibrate to avoid this dreaded noise.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSoince the 2.1 upgrade on my Orange Hero I get not only an anonymous empty text message which I can't get rid of but also every time I get a misssed call, the Notification can't be permanently deleted. Every time my phone is switched off and back on they re-appear. I now have 6 missed calls shown when I switch back on.

Right now me phone only rings once. This is the most basic feature and there has to be a way to change but I can't find it for the life of me. Even my old razor let me set it to ring every 5 minutes or so for missed calls. I can hook my phone into my pc and stream internet off it but for the life of me I can't figure this out!

I left my daughter sitting at school for 30mins the other night since I didn't see the message until I hung up from my voice call! this only started happening after the 2.1 update. the beep sounds like i am getting another call. also phone calls seem to be draining battery rather fast lately, a three minute phone call will drop my battery from half to yellow.
When I first got my Droid, I would often hear a tea kettle going off in the background with pitch changes, like a plane flying over head. Needless to say, I wasn't going to put up with the distracting noises, especially with a brand new phone. So, Verizon replaced the device. Four months later, I'm still having the same problem. The problem isn't that bad but I should hear such noises, regardless. Verizon says they haven't heard of such an issue but will replace the device again. Has anyone else noticed these noises while on a phone call?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I downloaded Tasker and created a profile that's supposed to silence my phone when it's plugged in at night, and it almost works. Tasker says the profile is active and I can see the "silent" icon in the notification bar, but texts and emails still make noise. As far as I can tell, Silent Mode is also supposed to silence notifications, but it's not working for me. I'm using Handcent SMS and Gmail.

Today I installed XposedDeliveryNotifyToast.apk from here to disable delivery notification sound and notification in the status bar. Instead you just get a toast notification. View 1 Replies View RelatedI use AOKP build 25 on my SGS and it worked perfectly before three days ago a new entry in my notification bar showed up and I can't get rid of it (see attached screenshot).
It's German, so in the upper line it says something like "Delete", and below "Text selection". When I click it, the system's memory usage is being opened but it's not going away.
Yesterday I noticed, that my Gmail doesn't sync even all settings are correct and haven't changed ever.
When I receive a call, I swipe the red slider to the left to ignore the call and for a second the list of texts come up, but only for a second. It is too fast for me to tap on a choice, so it sends the caller to the voicemail which is normal I think.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a droid 3. After using it for a few days, i could not receive or send any calls or texts all of a sudden and i don't know what i did wrong. A hollow triangle icon appeared on the top right corner of the screen beside the WiFi icon. When I call, it tells me to dial *611 and reactivate the phone. But when I called *611, it still asked me to dial *611. I tried a lot of ways to make it work but it never did. Then I tried doing the factory reset. I reset it, and it said i had to make a special call to activate the phone. So i pressed the activate button, i think it is supposed to give me instructions and tell me how to reactivate it but it didn't say anything and i'm now stuck on that page i couldn't go back couldn't do anything. I tried turning it off and turning it back on and it was still at the same page.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy volume is high....the highest node, but still on a high street when I ring someone or someone rings me I find it hard hearing them (although at home the sound is not too bad). I didnt have this prob even on a cheap handset I was using previously....is the volume genuinely low or is it a prob with my handset?
